Hey man i've been following for a few months now - your content keeps getting better and better. Love how you just play the game and roll with the punches unlike most other guide-centric channels. Cheers!
That similar strategy is what i used. I took arta and vassalized epirus. Then once naples was independent, i conqueread all my claims on naples. Then soloed the ottomans for max money, war reps and gelibolu and macedonia. Then converted to catholic and became hre emperor around 1470. Then revoked 70 years later. I got burgundy pu around 1480 but couldnt join the empire because my capitral wasnt connected. I couldnt conquer lands from hungary because it was in a personal union with austria. While venice was allied to france, castile and ottomans. Insted of adding provinces to the empire, austria just trade company-ed wallachian lands.
I watched videos of many different creators I think your tactics is by far the best one and easiest I've seen. I tryed to follow it, and after a couple of fails for bad rng mainly, I succeeded the 1st steps. And after that is quite easy. The most interesting move, by me, is getting Bulgarian rebels right before declaring on ottomans. It's genius, really. You get an easy conquest of Bulgarian without needing to face the ottomans or even an army. you even don't need 100% war score against the ottomans in the 1st war this way, and you get more land you could get with other tactics without messing up with disloyal vassals/pronoias. Outstanding. Actually in my campaign my goal was to restore the Roman empire as it was under trajan. I could have done the roman empire earlier, but I messed up a bit to try to reconquer the real borders, so lots of small provinces along the Rhine and in Germany. I am in late '700, and I still miss like 10 provinces or so, a couple in Belgium, and another couple in Armenia. Really an enjoyable campaign.
The king always dies to early in my games, so just did the low RNG method with island locking the Ottoman army, still works, but way harder in this update
Assaulting Gallipoli doesn't work, I’ve tried to with more troops with Max moral and they barely kill off 100 of the fort’s 2000 defenders before the units are devoid of any troops.
I appreciate ur channel and few others. I have a question, do you watch florrywory or arumba maybe? I take guides from arumba when he does specific countries. But still i suck
Couldn't you, prior to the Ottoman war but while otto is fightig in anatolia, 1. provoke bulgarian rebels, 2. Wait for them to cross into ottoman territory, 3. Unseige the rebel province, 4. Release bulgaria as a vassal, and 5. Proceed as you did here but with the defections to bulgaria ending up in a vassal to annex rather than needing to core them all?
It’d take way too long to annex with the dev and liberty desire, they get way more liberty Desire when you release them and then have provinces defect to them (province defections due to recent events) it’s faster and more efficient to conquer
@17:25 Why didn't you go in on Bosnia? Its an OPM and you were at war with the only people nearby who would care. You could annex them, then release them after.
Can't you release Bulgaria as a vassal right after the rebels move to ottoman lands and THEN declare? That way you get free provinces without any aggressive expansion.
That thing about attacking Naples is exactly what I did in the current byzantine campaign I am playing on my channel. So, I guess it ain't that rare and unknown after all.
When a war begins, any army in a neutral or hostile province that it only had access to through a military access agreement is exiled. This prevents troops from being placed outside their country's territory in preparation for war. An army in uncolonized land or the territory of a subject or ally won't be exiled, even if the ally isn't called into the war.@@Theplaymaker57
Budget monk's strategy is the only strat that I can get to work 100% consistently. Probably because I'm trash, but if it works trash like me then it should work for anyone.
Isn’t he an Alt-Right bigot bro? He said he was going to fight the culture war against “the left” and change the focus of his channel. Then back peddled hard and pretends it never happened 😂
It's never really been good, just gives you another vassal to deal with and integrate, although in this patch you could always pronoia bulgaria for easier anexation.
@@sageof6pandas233 I mean, you can have the rebels spawn, unsiege and release, declare on otto, and the rebels will do their own thing so you don't need to spend any admin or warscore (I don't think the rebels despawn when you release, right?). In this specific game, owning the land directly would have definitely been better because Austria expanded into the Balkans and took the gold mine.
bulgaria gets like 150% liberty desire from provinces captured by rebels so you are just as likely to end up with half of europe supporting independence before it ticks down after 100years.

It's also an easy way to get that achievment

Love this strategy. Great stuff!

Very great strategy, I absolutely try it.

I'd ideally vassalize Naples to make them.a proinoiar later

Bulgaria would get lots of LD due to the defected provinces modifier, because they were gotten thru rebels as opposed to returning by Byz
Vassals get like 10 liberty desire per province defected due to rebels and then ottomans would support their independence

No, because you have military access

@therealzizmon1748 having rebels give provinces increases liberty desire, so that's a wasted dip slot for quite a few years
