I always struggled with curves then I heard somewhere 'the frown goes down''. Someone might find that helpful. Am looking forward to trying this one out. Thanks Laura!
What a timely tutorial! I’m just starting a quilt with 84 of those blocks in it (3” finished size). You reminded me of the important steps. Unfortunately I didn’t have your marking tip about using the felt tip marker and marked every piece individually.
I was taught many years ago when I did just one! The smile on top!!! And since I’m used to pins j pin at center sides and others where needed! I haven’t done a block like this in a very long time so your hints are at a good time - I’ve been thinking about a melon block for some time and I’m sure that either way of sewing will work.😀😀😀. Thank you!!
Thank you for another excellent video. However, I saw that wonky block immediately. 👀👁️🗨️🔎😶🌫️LOL. 👍👏😁 It would be interesting to make all the blocks wonky just to see what it would look like.
Thank you for the melon block templates, so much better than just doing appliques.
Thank you Laura, you made that look very easy.❤
I like your black and white one Laura. Good directions for curve piecing and I like the idea of putting the marks on the pieces at one time.
Beautiful quilt. Thanks for simplifying a traditionally "difficult" block and giving us tips and tricks to make it feel doable for the near novice.
A lovely quilt Laura and you instructions are so easy to follow. Thank you for sharing with us x
OMgosh I love the black and white version!
Thank you! I think the idea of marking the block pieces is very helpful! I like the block and love the special effects on the black quilt!

Thankyou once again Laura, great 'so very easy' tips 😊
You always make the sewing seem “sew” easy! Love the block and the quilt! Thanks, Laura! ❤️

Thanks Laura. Would you teach on how to do the black n white with the cute corners?
I’ve done a curved seam by hand but not on a machine. I want to try it now
Excellent training
Fabulous! 🖤🤍💗
Another great video Thank you Laura x

I don't think melon block as much as yoni block. Which is totally fine by me. But just saying where my mind went.
Done in greens, these are leaves, not melon!😍
Yes, you are right
