I love how a 1-shot nuke has a consistently shorter cooldown than a skillshot that grants a very minor shield to yourself and your teammates, and they're both on the same fucking character.

It's so wild that we had a perfectly good system before and it was changed for the worse, but Riot is too prideful to just go back to what we had before.
@@TheJamieellis the issue with the system before is that CDR was over broke/easy to cap. 2 basic items used to be enough to cap your cdr. because a lot of items had 20 cdr. but tis 66.66 AH = 40% cdr now there is only a few 30% AH items in the game, and ive tried it, they rarely work well together unless on a hybrid (black cleaver and cosmid drive, dcr boots/runes) is like 98ah = like 50% cdr?
my fav is thresh...he'll grab you, pull you, slow you down with glacial so you (as melee) are practicly stunned, then do the exact thing again back to back with maybe 1 sec in between ...fun times
@Rav, I've been playing ability haste Glasc in ranked and it's ridiculous late game. Being able to put your revive on the same player a second time before the first one expires is broken.
reminds me of ability haste kayle, you can get her ult to like 25 second cdr. i have a clip someplace of me ulting 3 times at the end of the game in one fight. Started on inhib tower, saved one of my team mates, then after that a nexus tower saved another team mate. then i used it twice on my self stalling with winions. also six second teemo shrooms is always fun xD

There is something cosmically ironic about seeing this today after just watching both of Sloppy Walrus' "Impregnator Gragas" videos. Ability Haste is peak content.
Ability haste spam also makes it harder to punish mistakes. Teemo can use blind as poke instead of a defensive tool, etc. I feel like it’s gotten to a point where champs can just spam abilities without really thinking about the consequences. Idk, maybe reducing mana pools would help, I can’t remember the last time I went oom outside of lane phase

Im an avid divine sunderer jhin myself. Goredrinker was good when the passive was more damage the lower your health. Now with divine, % hp damage plus % missing hp damage is insane. He can hit 1.4k crits with it and collector together. No need for IE.
remember when urf was originally just an april fools joke riot did. I dont because I didnt play the game back then. But I do remember when they actually had some different game modes. What they should do is allow people to make custom game modes and riot can pick some out to put into a community playlist like Bungie did with Halo. But people have been suggesting they do that for years and riot dont want it, so yeah.
It's crazy that Phroxzon is confused about why fighters are complained about when they're too tanky, do too much damage, and have too much Haste. Like whenever they're too tanky, they're tankier than actual tanks. When they do too much damage, they do more consistent DPS than ADCs, and have better burst than assassins. When they have too much haste, their broken abilities can combo into themselves and make them too tanky AND do too much damage. There's also the tiny issue of fighters being capable of being too tanky, doing too much damage, and having too much haste all at the same time.

Lux has literally always been fucking broken. Her ult is crazy fast, insane range, amazing damage, and damn near no cooldown. At least they slowed it down so it's reactable now. It used to be if you weren't already dodging, you just died.
Hold on, Umbral Glaive is an ability haste item! Its unique passive is just automatic sweeper trinket! Why is Phroxzon listing it as a thing assassins want that isn't AH-related when the only reason it's useful is because it gives ability haste in addition to a thing you can already build without using an item slot?
This made me realize something about Riot balance. They decide when a character gets to be the meta pick of the season, and if it happens without them coming in to do it, they WILL nerf it. For instance: why do some champs get buffs over and over and new updates just to play around and nake them more viable to the point its the same 20 champs every season. If they wanted to be fair...why not make any champ the new seasonal strong one. Screw it: Urgot W now crits. They could do it. Why not? Because for some reason Kaisa and Aatrox need to be meta yet another season.
I think they base balancing around those champs who get used more and how marketable they are. I mean, look at who's meta and you'd see thirst traps galore. Urgot is never gonna be as strong because he simply doesn't sell. Who cares about some bane-wannabe with eight robotic legs when little ms. Anime girl no.15 makes pp hard?
It would be, but the point of building everfrost on Morgana was so that he could land a Q>Everfrost>Q combo without the enemy having a realistic chance to dodge it. Dark Binding was on a ~4 second cooldown, it's a 3 second root. If you add the 1 second root of Everfrost onto it, they only have the travel time of the Q to dodge it. Or he could do the Q>Everfrost>R>Q combo. Even longer and you can't really dodge Morgana R, so even easier to land.
"Riot slaps ability haste onto every item" There's a stupid exception to that, a role that would need it the most has almost none of it Ardent censer - no AH Chemtech Putrifier - 15 AH Mikael's Blessing - no AH Redemption - no AH and staff of flowing water for some reason gives AH AFTER you shield or heal an ally, which is useless for any enchanter who doesn't already a have a less than 4 sec cooldown on their peel, and for enchanters that do have less than 4 sec cooldown on that, it's basically useless too... Impreial gives 20 AH but it's a very neash item that is almost never built with any enchanter and yes we do have the mything passive of a whopping 5 AH per legendary item, but mythic passives are getting removed and anyway every role has one of those AND AH on their items, it's some bs if you ask me. enchanter items are already laughable with their lame stats, that's why a lot of them build mage items.
If that is true, then Riot yet again ruined the balance and made support even more boring and unplayable. So it makes more sense to build AP so your shields,heals and damage get more efficient? l find it hard to think like this on Sona,Lulu and soraka Even Orianna support. Wild rift makes sense there but still l wonder, do they even care about support? It feels like l am always buying the same things but still have weak heals. At least in Wild rift, it has stronger heals due high ability power on the items, even support ones Harmonic Echo is my favourite item there.

They design the game based on an idea of how certain things should be. How long games should take, how powerful or tanky characters should be, how much efficiency items should have. Riot Games puts everything inside little ideal boxes and says "This is the expected state of the game, and this is what we need to strive for in our balance efforts." Except it doesn't work that way. Riot has two thousand champions and a constantly rotating and changing set of items, map elements, neutral objectives. There are so many moving parts that are spaghetti-coded together that Riot has created the impossible balancing act: nothing can change without affecting half of the game. Want to buff a mid-lane mage item? Bot lane AP Veigar's win rate goes up five percent. Tweak one champion's ability? Four other champions glitch out because lmao rito's delicious spaghetti.
mages and assassins can just show up, kill someone, and go out unpunished just to come back after a few seconds because their abilities are not on CD anymore. Meanwhile enchanter supports cannot heal more than 150 HP or give 200 shield to protect someone in the team because its unhealthy.

Zhonya's and seraph's feel like the only generally good mage items with haste on them. Banshee's is very situational. Lich bane is for empowering auto attacks and has haste for some reason. The rest that I actually want, like Rylai's, Demonic, Deathcap, Shadowflame, Void Staff, etc, don't have haste. Also this is unrelated, but why aren't there lethality boots. There is one more space in the shop for boots, and you can get magic pen or cdr boots. Base armor on literally everyone in the game is way higher than base mr. And add more mr items to the shop. It's wild how no matter who I play, there are like 2 max viable mr items. Adaptive helm was one of the most useful things in the game for braindead mfs like malzahar. Although pairing it with anathema's would probably make it so you can render one person from the enemy team entirely useless but honestly, for the tradeoff in stats, I think it'd be worth it. Edit: Cosmic needs a nerf though. Give that thing like 60 ap instead of 100. And morg just needs her Q to be a way longer cd. If you miss it, that's on you. It's not exactly small.
