In this video we will learn how to make authentic rajma (Kidney bean) masala. I have also cooked rice using pot in pot method, to save time and energy.
Ingredients :
1 tbsp Ghee
1 tbsp Oil
whole spices (1 cinnamon stick, 1 black cardamom, 1 bay leaf, 1 star anice, 5-6 whole pepper corn, 3-4 cloves)
Pinch of Hing (Asofetida)
Ginger , garlic and green chili ( 1 inch ginger , 4-5 cloves garlic and 1 green chili)
1 large finely chopped onion
salt to taste
4 medium size chopped tomatoes
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
1 tbsp cumin-coriander powder
1 tbsp kashmiri red chili powder
1 cup rajma (kidney beans) , soak overnight + 2 & 1/2 cups water
1 & 1/2 cup Rice (Rinsed) + 3 cups water + 1 tsp Ghee (Oil) + salt
1 tsp Kasuri Methi
1/2 tbsp Rajma Masala (OR Garam Masala)
