It’s ok for them to go to Sephora, but NOT ok to make a mess and play with products like toys. I still blame the parents for not teaching their kids how to behave.

This is why little kids used to get PLAY makeup, not real makeup. Because little kids PLAY.
They either got literally just plastic toys in a little plastic purse, or little kits with sparkly lip balms that smell like chocolate pudding or cherries or something.

Sure it’s okay for anyone to go to Sephora and not okay for anyone to make a mess… but think about it, DO THEY NEED TO BE THERE? Not really!
Local drug stores are locking up testers and products because of them including Sephora. I no longer step foot and only shop online Sephora… too many little girls, too much mess and too many things out of stock.

When it was time to get off the plane the 7ish year old punched her mother in the butt and told her to hurry up the mother was literally not phased which made me believe that the daughter was learning to abuse the woman from another adult in the household which I'm guessing is a spouse or significant other of the woman.

KIDS shouldn’t be using harsh skincare products like retinol, glycolic acid, niacinamide babe you’re 9 years old you still have crystal clear skin you have baby skin there’s no need for you to be using those things. And yes I know some kids get acne, I was the one that started getting bad acne when I was 14 and I started getting into skincare at that age. But most kids I see using those skincare products don’t even have any skin concern and use things they don’t need will cause them so many problems in the future: premature acne/wrinkles, damaged skin barrier, chemical burns

Sephora and stores like it need to insist that young girls under the age of 14 need to be chaperoned by a parent/adult and if they do destroy any products then the parents need to be billed for it. The stores can't even take away the testers because these kids have been opening the actual products packaging, throwing that packaging on the floor, trying the product then dumping it randomly. There have been incidents of these kids opening gift sets to take out one of the products and not paying for anything. Its a real issue. Unless these stores start clamping down then they are only encouraging this behaviour.

(Highlighter, mascara, sephora collection face masks, viral eyeshadow palettes) This was when James Charles, Patrick Starr, Jaclyn Hill and Manny Mua were super popular and I watched them all on RUclips. I now work at Sephora and for the most part the younger kids shopping there doesn’t bother me, if they are being respectful and clean up any messes they make and just have a passion for makeup and skincare I am fine with it. However, it’s a trend right now. The drunk elephant, sol de janiero, glow recipe, summer Friday’s hype is all from tiktok. There is a lack of “tween” stores available nowadays, Claire’s markets towards kids ages 3-6, Justice is at Walmart, Iviva shut down. In my opinion Iviva needs to make a comeback (rebranded probably). And there needs to be more stores and trends specifically marketed towards that age group. When I was that age it was Slime, RUclips/Instagram, Monster high, EOS lip balm, Justice, Claire’s etc.
