"tiny influencers" just disgusting
@@LindyandDevin what's disgusting about little children being put up to review adult products and interact with millions of creeps online? Do I really have to explain that to you? There's a difference between mom child makeup time and putting your little kid virally on the internet.
@@LindyandDevin🙄🙄🙄

Tiny Influencers are awsome.
If Gen Z is aging like milk I can just imagine what Gen Alpha's are going to look like in their 20's with all these products these kids don't even need
Gen alpha girls will look 50 at 20
Imma guy and imma going to ulta and sephora to buy 200 dollars of makeup
@@SlimMichaelSpaghetti please don’t
Exaccctlyyy these products are formulated with chemicals to correct matured skin @@ogfrankodac7747
I'm a gen x and I will say Gen alpha is going to be Gen Z karma but it also depends on if the gen alpha is raised by Gen z or millennials. The ones raised by millinials will have way better standards and values
When I was a tween I was playing Mario on my nintendo DS and collecting mighty beanz. My makeup was a strawberry shortcake Glittergloss.
"Im not like other girls"
I loved strawberry shortcake
FACTS! Just literally lip gloss and Noxzema
now kids are playing with mario badescu 😂
Same, I was stoked with my $3 lip smackers lol
The parents can stop this craziness.
The Moms are conformist hunbot types who like to play "Keep Up with the Joneses" themselves, so sadly it's unlikely.
the parents are idiots
Yea cuz the parents spoil them
Can kids be kids anymore?
100% agree, this absolutely disgusting 🤮
@@coolcat365your disgusting
As gen alpha, I don’t think it’s ever going back to
normal it’s too deep in the game.
No, force them to be chronically online consumers
At that age the only thing they need is a sunscreen cream
And an oil based cleanser to remove the sunscreen, and a gentle water based cleanser to fully remove the oil, and of course, a moisturizer to apply after cleansing.
that's exactly what I told my 10 yr old daughter ... sunscreen and chapstick. PERIOD!
@@howdypartner3403Not all that just use some face soap and lotion
Exposing children to unnecessary chemicals. What can go wrong.
The kick on the head for me was:
“[They] are wise beyond their years and willing to spend beyond their minimal incomes…” M’am, these are 9-13 year olds what earned income, they are spending their Parents, Aunties, Uncles and them hard earned money on things that’ll bring them more damage to their skin in the long haul!
It’s always been this way, except girls didn’t destroy the testers. The only thing tweens had with options were drugstore cosmetics.
Children don’t need a god damn skincare routine. Stop this nonsense.
I actually think it’s ok to! But it needs to be age appropriate.
@@TheMsJericaShow < Braindead girl, that is why you think that, smh.
🤣 I kinda found this funny bc I was fighting to not comb my hair at 11/12 yrs old but kids doing skin care routines. LOL, I couldn't be bothered. I'm the gen of holding my pee for commercial breaks so I'll have none of that. Just sounds like they have too much free time.
@@TheMsJericaShowall they need is cetaphil. They don’t need drunk elephant and retinol
@@TheMsJericaShow Ma’am…
Capitalist conformity at its finest. Who cares about the messaging these children are receiving. They're having fun and burning funds all while learning about the most important things about life.
1. There are barely places for tweens to hang out anymore so they are infiltrating all the adult places 2. They are buying skincare products that are not for their skin, no teenage girl needs retinol , niacinamide, BHA/aha skin stripping products…3. They are destroying and stealing the samples
You must be a liberal its not even about capitalism
When that girl put on under eye cream!!! Girl why you buying stuff for problems you don't even have???
So many bad parents
Millennials at there Finest
@@coolcat365Yeah u got that right!
I'm not a parent just yet? But I'm going to take it one day at a time. I mean Gen-Alpahs I don't they used Skin Care products from Sephora?
As a millennial with no kids yet, I’m so sorry my generation as parents are total pushovers and lazy asses 😞
We really need to do better
As a millinial with kids . I can tell u i would never😂 stop generalizing .
I’m 28. And I don’t even have a skin care routine. I use oxy face wash and that’s it lol. But also I don’t wear makeup either. This stuff will just ruin your skin also make you look older. Children need to be children.
Indeed, indeed. I never had any ''interest'' what so ever, literally did not exist nor will, to wear makeup and it is just stupid. I rather be real than fake, natural and not with makeup on, neither would I take any drugs which include alcohol and cigarettes bcz it is toxic chemicals. Obviously. Kids need sane parents and not those who pierce the kids ears and so on.
Have to disagree. As a 16 year old skin care helped me with my issues. But I definite Think that these kids are way to young
at least apply some moisturizer tho.
@@maibrown2755 so your in age were you're allowed to do makeup I was saying only under 14
@@shelia.3596 For what?
So sad. Children’s skin should not be exposed to chemicals at such a young age. Cancer is the future. Nice job parents. You’re awesome. 👍👏👏👏
Time stamp 1:18 boldly states "Too young to use TikTok and Instagram" - Where do you think they are seeing the skin care influencing? You really think that these kids are staying off these sites because there is a 13 y.o. and above requirement? They let ANYONE on those sites. Don't blatantly lie about this fact, it makes you look completely out of touch and naive.
As a gen alpha I just wanted to
say I wanted a Barbie and shopkins
for my birthday and my day told
me I was too old so I started
with skincare but all I want is a Barbie
Yeah my mom said I’m too old for toys and I’m 11 almost 12
she said I’m a teen next year 😬
You're not too old, you're still young and you should be able to enjoy playing with toys still I mean I didn't stop playing with toys until I was like in middle school lol
It's great that girls are learning to take care of their bodies in a positive way, but the way they're speaking to each other and in their videos is a product of WAY too much social media and exposure and that is going to damage their self esteems
Agree with you it can literally damage their self esteem just wait til your 14 years old or older
@@user-lh8uz3sl3oI agree with you 100%.
ppl monetizing their kids on social media is so gross
Oh Christ I feel bad for these little girls…the relentless pressure starts earlier and earlier. I was a little girl once so I know how it is
Lol,every human has been once a little girl or boy, stop being so called damn sympathetic to these pathetic kids!
This is what happens when you give kids iPads making them chronically online
Gen alpha gang that doesn’t ruin testers
👇
That’s sad af
This is not a matter of whether or not you should just let kids have fun. This is a choice on whether or not you're going to protect your child's physical health. These kids are going to have immune system problems and probably be susceptible to skin cancer and other illnesses if these parents just let them "play" like this.
These poor kids.. they have no idea the damage not only of skin care products they don't need, but social media as well. Parents, stop allowing social media to raise your children!!!
So true, my 11 year old friends are like these girls it’s crazy.
That is seriously disturbing. Do they not listen to what you say?
Mixing those chemicals on their faces is extremely harmful. Do they even know what those chemicals are? Do they even know what health issues can be caused by mixing chemicals and putting unnecessarily skin lotions on your face can? All they need is a simple face wash and moisturizer. It’s sad places like so Sephora and Alta are making an absolute killing, making money off of little girls insecurities and these parents support it. It’s absolutely disgusting and ridiculous. 20 years from now these girls are all gonna have health issues from the amount of chemicals they put on their faces as kids everything you put on your skinaffects your health
I am a young girl shopping at Sephora but I’m super shy in front of people I don’t know so I would NEVER play with the testers and I grab the thing I want and run (speed walk) to the cash register so not all people ruin testers (also I’m older than 10)
Same. Ppl need to stop saying it all gen alpha it's just the disrespectful people. My skincare routine is cleanser, moisturiser and spf. I don't use anti again serums or retinol. It's not all gen alpha. Ppl need to realise
@@user-eh1vj6fr7o yeah
Is it for the gratification of consumeristic parents today - Look at me, I can afford this stuff for my kid…Or are they the same as stage moms? They are encouraging it, they are buying it, maybe what it is all about is starting their little cutie young in the social media world, with all the money that comes along with it….kind of like starting them young in ballet and gymnastics.
i can't believe im seeing this happen,, but Yes, smh,, i think you are right,,, and it's Shocking! Some mother spend $200 - $500 on each Kid!!,,,, they should put that money in a savings for when they grow up,,,, SMH Creating disasters.
When you're in a capitalist country! 🫡
I'm thirteen and literally the only things from Sephora I own is Sol de Janeiro because I like the smell 💀
im 17 and the only thing i have is a sparkly liquid eyeshadow that i got with a gift card from sephora
When i was in school, there was a hierarchy based on looks ( long blond hair was at the top). Often pretty tween girls turned out to be the plainest of all in the end. I would not encourage beauty standards in schools, they should be focusing on other things, like being competitive in a positive way and helping, respecting others along the way and the parents encouraging this are overgrown teenagers themselves. Older men or boys might interpret this in the wrong way.
Live your life, girls. Enjoy it but don't rush growing up. Before you know it, you're 30 and struggling to love yourself.
🎯
The real issue here is these kids DESTROYING the stores they go to.
If the store see's them doing anything destructive while their the manager should refuse to sell products to them i bet that would give them an attitude adjustment.
OH MY GOSH. They are using glycolic acid, LITERAL ANTI WRINKLE CREAM, and products with fruit acids which are so dangerous.
I hate being considered a gen alpha kid. I’m nothing like this. Yeah I use skincare, yes I like makeup, yes I like Purfume, but not to excessive amounts. I use sdj (sol de jinero)safe skincare for my age, and mascara + lipgloss I’m 13. I use fidgets, slime, I like to draw, and play games like Roblox and Minecraft. So I am still a kid :) just bc I’m gen alpha doesn’t mean I’m like everyone else.
These children need therapy.
I'm 12 and don't think they need all of those stuff, but its crazy how you're blaming the children for this it really depends on how the PARENTS raise them
@@katkk4096 Nope I'm not blaming the kids, I'm saying they need help to reverse the damage done by the hyperconsumerism enabled by their parents. Not to mention the self image/esteem issues from these children needing these luxury products to look a certain way and/or fit in with their peers.
Kids, if you’re gonna do skincare do it right. It’s cleanser, serum and then moisturizer.
This topic has inspired me to look into making a skincare brand that is age appropriate for kids, has cute packaging, and is based in science! I'm currently studying chemistry in university and I think going into skincare R&D (research & development) could be a viable career option for me lol.
I thought gen alpha was kids born after 2012. Correct me if im wrong please.

Dude I’m 16 1/2. I’ll be 17 at the end of next month. I was at Sephora with my Mom the other day and I saw a little girl who can’t be more than 9 or 10. She was with her mom and she grabbed something from Drunk Elephant. I understand she was very polite towards the employee, however, imo the only Sephora items a 10 year old should have is like a summer Fridays lip balm or one of the travel size sol de Janeiro perfumes.
these are literally just the children of rich parents
I'm 13 but all I use is a bubble moisturizer 😭🙏 these lil girls make me LIVID 😤
I’m planning to bubble
As a gen alpha myself born in 2011. I can agree that some people take it way to far at Sephora; by stuff they don't even need, break testers etc. But I also feel that we should be allowed to explore and try new things! There should not be an age limit but maybe if you break or mess up testers just to make a massive smoothies and NOT clean it up their should be given a warning to that person if caught.
It's not just that kids that don't need to any elaborate skin care routine, but that their parents are either 1) buying it for their kids OR 2) allowing their kids to buy it with their own money. Shouldn't they teach their kid about budgeting a little? I'm okay with the kids buying some sweet smelling lotion or a little lip gloss, but why on earth are they putting ALL these chemicals on their faces? This is surely a trend (similar to the tanning) that people will regret.
We treat our children like adults and wonder why things are so messed up? Seen not heard for a very good reason. They have nothing of value to say and their opinion is nonexistent. They are so easily manipulated with a tik or tok or tweet.
Throw the phone in the trash and buy books. Lots of books.
I’m not trying to be rude but did you tell them that they would be put on the news in a bad way?
Ridiculous
This is just sad. They’re literally making money off of little girls insecurities. And I wonder where those insecurities are coming from? Oh, right TikTok and Instagram this is extremely sad and when I was 10 I didn’t even know what make up or skincare routine was. All I cared about was playing with toys and going outside with my friends.
I hate the parents and those children. It’s going to take a lot more than face oil to help most of them.
When I was teen the word tween didn't exist, smart phones & social media didn't exist. Times are changing
Sad
they're using whatever is popular on tiktok, without even knowing what's inside of those products💀
For real
It is the parents feuling this.
children shouldn't be allowed to have "platforms" on social media. they shouldn't be allowed to be "tiny influencers". letting your child do this is disgusting and very harmful. you are exposing them to predators. shame on these parents!!
Tbh, everyone should have a cleanser and moisturizer, and some pre-teens have acne you gotta understand.
When i was a kid i had none that.
I turn out fine stop glamerizing consumerism .
All they need to wash their face , a face cream and lip balm . U must not have kids .
No different than I was when I was little back in the 80’s! I had every face wash and pimple cream available at the time. My mom encouraged good hygiene and I don’t disagree with mothers doing the same. The focus needs to be on hygiene in the store too though.
It's not about being hygienic, it's about acting beyond their age like grannies
No child needs hundreds of dollars worth of skincare products. This isn’t about hygiene. Dermatologists have said that prior to puberty all they need is sunblock, a gentler moisturizer and a gentle cleanser. More products doesn’t equal better skin.
Adults ate the problem!
Come on Sephora? Your losing your customers over 20 of age. Parents can go but it. Children should not be in Sephora
Does childhood even exist anymore?
as a licensed aesthetician for over 15 years of experience, this is not good for young skin, they are stripping their perfect skin of its natural oils and I think we will see in the long run that this will indeed cause their skin to age earlier on. sure they are using professional products but it's too harsh for their skin and will have an adverse reaction and cause premature aging.. yikes.
This is so gross. You are a kid. Just be a kid.
God, I imagine growing up in this generation and my self esteem would have been in the garbage.
I'm 14 how am I Gen alpha 😢 I consider my self gen z
I am gen z 2011 i still think gen alpha started in 2013😊😂😢
All I think about is the increase in plastic waste in landfills in the next 10 yrs.
It becomes a problem when the sense of belonging is toxic and the need to grow up fast. The rest is not bad they want to take care of themselves
my problem with it is them using products that are not good for their skin and when they are disrespectful to employees and other people and then they destroy all of the testers. like what makes them think that that’s ok?
My cousin is part of gen alpha I’m so glad she’s like how I was growing up
Their parents are also always on their phones.
This reminds me of playing with an easy bake oven just with extremely expensive products and your baking your face..
This is all idiotic!! Where are the parents of these kids!!
The parents are raising them this way. Yikes. Yet if you ask them about health literacy, it's going to be crickets. They don't even know the science behind the ingredients and effects to the largest organ of their tiny bodies.
I think it's fine for 10 and up to use skincare IF ITS SAFE! I don't think 13 and under should be using Drunk Elephant and DEFINITELY NOT RETINOL but Sol De Janeiro is fine and so is bubble, People should not get mad at this. We just think it's fun and of course were gonna try it if it is ALL over social media and safe for our skin. If you don't like it then don't let your kid do it, you shouldn't put this stuff on the news!!!😑 I don't think this is new, kids have always been stealing there parents makeup. I am a Gen Alpha and I know that we are not doing this to grow up too fast! If adults hate that kids are doing this ADVERTISE SOMETHING ELSE! If fidgets were still allll over tiktok we would prob still be obsessed with them. I really don't want sephoras to close down for younger kids cause it is not our fault people are dumb and ruining testers. I used to have really bad acne and the dermatologist said I had to use cera ve and cetephil. Its better to cleanse your face and moisturize then not to do anything at all. Don't get mad at me this is my OPINION👋
I think that yes, it’s kinda crazy how much these 10/11 year olds or younger are using on their faces. But, it’s not really their fault. They see these things on social media and want them bc it’s cool or their friends have it. Every generation had their own trendy things, gen alpha just happens to be this.
How many of these products contain endocrine disrupters? That’s what I want to know. I know a child who went into premature puberty at 6 because of tea tree oil.
Should i use retinol at 27 i use coconut oil
As a gen alpha I think it’s OK but instead of them like actually getting the skin care they should just watch videos about it because you can just get ones for cheaper anyway. that are way more better. But it sucks I don’t have a phone 📱:/
Nothing is stopping them from having social media and their parents exploiting their children
There’s something absurdly hilarious about a pure skinned actual child with fully elastic skin being stoked about skin care at this level of obsessed consumerism.
Lol 😂this is ridiculous. They are ruining their young skin. They dont need all that!
Why are people surprised?! They are pre-teens totally normal for them to be into makeup and skin care, girly stuffy, etc. And Hygiene is something you wonna start teaching young, this is also the age girls start to get their periods which means they have to deal with acne, hormones, body odor etc. They're not infants or toddlers, this is a stage of development. It's always been like that.
(Now, do I agree with destroying the testers? No, and also, I can agree with they don't need treatment products for concerns like wrinkles)
Well, lol, I was very abnormal then bcz I never even had one inkling of an ''interest'' to wear makeup and pierce my ears. Nobody need makeup and wear rings, earrings and so on, so ridiculous.
At most they could only use moisturizers Or just wash their face with water daily.
They should be more concerned about washing their asses right and stinky body parts as well, and how to properly care for those areas before they prioritize a skin care routine for their face. I bet they don’t know how to properly brush and floss. That’s the type of hygiene they should be more concerned about in my opinion.
This has nothing to do with the normal development of being interested in hygiene and appearance during puberty…this is about young girls feeling immense social pressure to own expensive skincare products they don’t even need. If they’re into skincare, fine, use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer that cost no more than $10 each. This is about consumerism and social media popularity contests that are too much of a psychological burden for young people.
My cousin is a dermatologist and she doesn’t even recommend adult skin care products to teenagers out there, let alone tweens. I don’t understand why tween girls nowadays are in a rush to become adult.
@@Vero2yuyou were abnormal in that sense yes. Young girls being interested in makeup, skincare, jewelry and fashion has been reality for ever.. that’s nothing new and it’s not at all uncommon and never has been. Magazines from the 1920s made for young girls have makeup and fashion tips. Those are things that women typically like (not all women of course and some men like those things too but historically it’s literally proven that (some/most) women like makeup and jewelry, that’s not even a debatable fact, not sure why that confuses you) And young teenagers wanting to copy older women is literally just what people do.. so teens liking those things is 100% normal. Nobody needs any of those things, they are a hobby..
I’m 10 and I only have two popular things they are sold de Janeiro and laneige like and the blue lotion it’s the cerave

Imagine these girl when they reach puberty and become pimple face… 😓
What are these tweens gonna do when I start getting their first pimples?
DYSTOPIAN.
The eye serums and matches seem like a lot, but at the same time most of the products sold in retail stores don't have the same level of active ingredients as professional skincare. In a way its just an expensive hobby for kiddos.

i didnt give up my barbies and toys until i was about 12-13 keep in mind im 15 1/2
Sephora kids are kids that are rude to employees, but kids that go to sephora are well educated, btw what do yall care abt what they are putting in their faces? After it is their parents decision and tbh all they need to avoid is retinols and vitamin C’s and acids thats all
