Hey man great video! Thanks for using my music, apologies for seeing your vid so late (life gets in the way) but I appreciate it so much! Keep up the good work
Flip side to that; without a jailbreak and Webman controlling your fan temps, the system is basically just a time bomb waiting to explode. So yes the older firmware may be cool, but it’s dangerous to run. 4.90 Evilnat, Webman manual fan control and a delid they should stay alive after that
@@jk-474 Oh definantly, I agree. What I did was just replace the modern coldboot files with the original ones, so I have the original coldboot startup, the Spiderman font gameboot, and the original black background running/working on 4.90 Evilnat. Sure I don't have the original message board, but I don't really miss that. I didn't like the original message board that much. So it would be easier to download the original colboot files, and replace the modern ones by using Multiman rather than downgrading the firmware to the original or not updating the original firmware at all. But despite that, having a PS3 on the original pre-Slim firmware is rare today so I consider that very special even though people are risking the console dying and/or nearly half of the library unplayable.
@@CassandraPantaristi how do I do that?! I’ve always wanted to replace the modern PS3 logo with the Spider-Man one, maybe the PS logo in front of it like the new one but with the old font in place. That’s AWESOME! 😎💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻

You shouldn't have updated it, having a backwards compatible PS3 on old firmware pre-slim is a treasure.

@@jk-474 Wish I could tell you, but my comment keeps getting removed.

The only real way to fix the ylod is a gpu swap with a 65 or 40nm rsx gpu
