Ahhh, this looks much easier than using the 3D keyer. Genius
Wish I saw this before I started the project 😂
What if the green screen is not all one color and has different shading in some parts? The 3d key is still good for that.
@@lonr373There's an easy trick for that too
@@lonr373facts
this just saved me $60 by being able to use a free asset with a black background instead of paying for a different transparent overlay, YOU'RE THE BEST!
Righteous!
All your shorts are actually lifesavers for my workflow and learning process in resolve, truly as a noob I appreciate you 😤

My go to source when I need DaVinci insight! Huge thanks brother!
You skip on the nonsense but not on the easy of explanation.
You are knocking it out of the park.
Just so you know, April 24, 2024…you made my day much easier.
Obliged.
Hey Jimmy!
I really appreciate the kind words, my man.
My whole goal is to make everyone’s day just a little bit easier if they’re using Resolve.
Glad this helped! ☮️❤️
Bro is an actual life saver I've been searching a way to do this for about an hour now
Hope this helped!
I’m coming from Nuke, so it takes some time getting used to the new tools, but these have been very brief and informative. Thank you!
The Resolve UI can be daunting, for sure
finally a fast, easy and working way, last vids i watched were way longer and somehow didnt really work for me, this one does, thanks!
Daniel, thanks! Always great to spend a minute with you for excellent tips!
Glad you enjoyed it!
So, that's how to do it. Thanks for sharing.
That only works if the background is one solid color if it’s more than one color use a chroma key instead
Thank you I just started DaVinci Resolve
Hope you’re enjoying it!
Easy and quick tip! ❤
I like this idea more than using the color tab like I have been doing!!!
The great thing is there are always multiple ways to do almost anything in Resolve
Just subscribed! Thanks for the training

Glad you think so!
Fantastic again. U have been tremendously helpful.
Glad to help
@@Daniel_Batal recently i have been working on davinci resolve studio on one screen and having you on the other screen. After a few times, my wife, she looked, she no longer asks me who is the curly hair guy nowadays.
😅 Whenever she comes in the room, you should shut off the second screen really quickly. She'll be convinced you're seeing a really ugly woman on the side.
Thank you so much. I needed to put a clip of a screen on a guy looking at a tv screen but his head is in the middle. I was trying to transform and track around his head...it was nightmare...and this is so much easier x.x
You saved my life bro just rn

thanks for helping the noobs out my guy
Fellow noob here. My pleasure
Okie! Thanks. Now I learnt 1 more way to go with green! And hope this works well with other colours!
It does, assuming all of the same chroma key best practices are used. Great matte controls up in the inspector for dialing it in, too
Thanks BRO! Excelent
thank you Daniel, you saved me all the times.
Happy to help!

You should do a tutorial on Advanced Delta key functions for tough green screens. Threshold and multi-level masking
Maybe!
Currently my focus is on helping new users to the software
love that joke at the end. Funny guy 😂
😜
thx for topic

The new catch phrase “Di Vinci Resolve for noobs.” Lol.
amazing voice
thank you so much! I just have a minor problem, and that is when I remove the green, the cyan color of the image turns blue
Make sure the green that you’re using in your background isn’t repeated in any other colors in your foreground.
Neon green is a good choice
than q sir
You're very welcome ☮️
A couple enjoying a blast 😅
😅
THANK YOU! IF I COULD LIKE 10X I WOULD!
Hi Daniel! Love your tutorials - I've been using them to learn for about a month or so.
Quick question - I'm trying to do this with a black screen, but when I select the black, it doesn't become transparent. Where did I go wrong?
Hey there!
Black is absolutely the wrong color choice for chroma key because black exists is every part of your video image.
Make sure you choose a color like a neon green or blue that the software can easily separate and remove
Fire

Me who used the 3d keyer and still got green outlines:
It's THAT easy???
sir, what program are you using? thanks for your reply. newbie here
Watch the opening 3 seconds again or read the video title
Welp. Been using chroma key for this, didn't know easier methods. Thanks
Awesome tip but crazy date🤣👍
😜
I need more of these! But what happens when it leaves a green fringe around the subjects?
You can use the adjustment features to help dial that out.
Make sure you understand how to film with green screen footage properly to avid that-> ruclips.net/video/_p_dIXpp53s/видео.htmlsi=hbE41ayuek3hmU6w
do you know if there is a way to set up a Adjustment clip with VFX AND sound effects and SAVE it for use in other projects?
Depends.
If it’s complete, just export it in its entirety.
Then you’ll have it for another project.
If you want to modify it the next project, you could turn it into a compound clip but you can’t save those, you have to jump them in dynamic project mode.
You could turn it into a Fusion clip (which can be saved) but that won’t necessarily save the sound effects with it
Thanks for this tip! I’m struggling to get pictures to be placed underneath my main footage though, so it’s not inserting into the green screen area. Any tips on that?
There are some free sites like Pixabay.
I personally like Storyblocks-> storyblocks.com/danielbatal
Love u
I have a motion graphics pack for premiere pro but i need that pack to install on davinci resolve. How to do that sir ?
It would need to be DR specific. See if the company who produced it offer it in both formats
