- In Las Vegas, hotels, casinos and businesses closed their doors for at least 30 days to help combat the spread of the coronavirus. This is a massive blow to a city where 200k people work in the hotel industry, and where the economy pretty much depends on the 42k tourists who visit each year.

MissAmazanda, I have a trip being planned for Oct, and was thinking the same thing... I can go to Vegas tomorrow And return Roundtrip from Boston to Vegas for $34.80 non stop.. I usually pay over 300.00 RT... I’m rethinking and maybe going in Oct will be a bad idea, they will tighten the slots so they can recover their losses..

There's an upside to this: lots of people will wake up sober, with cash in their pockets (not in the slot machine), and many will be free of STD's that they otherwise would've contracted.

Born n raised. I love my city, God bless everyone! I am proud of albertsons workers, family dollar, my health clinic for staying open n making sure tape is laid down six feet apart n cashier's telling everyone to back up if too close. I am proud to be a true Las Vegas resident born here n so proud we closed the strip immediately! Good job to the city that NVR sleeps! Shout out to Kay Crazy a rapper born n raised here n keeping me going threw his music.
The casinos there screwed a lot of people over. And the city relied mostly on gambling than on essentials. So I dont feel sorry for the city.

:) :) :) hahahaa.. all hotel-casinos are closed, all stores and some shops door covered with plywood - since Delano to all the way back to North to Stratosphere about few miles and everywhere else too and Fremont Street end-to-end closed by gates.. jaa-hahaa.. :) only architecture is available to see.. Last time I see something like that was in 1986 April in Europe (I was 5 something), but this you see first time. Of course there's traffic, because some people had to go work too by this route and traffic is light there, earlier it was real traffic-jam.. ;)
media is a big lier. three years ago during the hurricane in Florida, there was a reporter on the beach barely can stand still because of the crazy wind( what he was telling the viewers), I was about 300 feet away from him kicking my soccer ball. i mentioned that because they showed ghost town in the beginning of the video but too many cars during the interview.

I'm really curious as to what has become of the mole people that live in the underground sewers and tunnels below the city! There are hundreds of people down there. Drug addicts, homeless, illegals, wanted people. Both with the Coronavirus pandemic ongoing, and with the shut downs illuminating there only way to survive (the coming and going people and businesses). I'm sure there once already impossible living has become a death sentence for them aswell as so many hidden dark places like them! Does anyone have any information on the underworld status??
