I haven't seen any further DNMS videos but I have seen, loosely paraphrased, "EMDR and Brainspotting are for everybody" videos. Is DNMS not as important than it seems from watching this video? I'm kinda hoping so because my memory for acronyms is pretty full at the moment 😄

Gosh, great question. And yes there are way too many acronyms! EMDR and Brainspotting (BSP) can be beneficial for many types of people with varying life stressors- not just trauma. DNMS however, is more tailored to attachment wounds and childhood unmet needs. DNMS is even more helpful for these types of issues than EMDR and BSP are. Sometimes EMDR can fall short in reprocessing childhood unmet needs and attachment wounds, so starting with DNMS techniques is the better way to go. Often times after attachment healing, EMDR and BSP are more helpful. I think the bottom line is that there is more than one way to go about it. I am grateful we have options and can tailor treatment to such an individual level. I hope this helps!
