Bumpy public roads & ep3s dont work but on track all good. I run my ep3 stock height the biggest issue is toe change in the rear during highspeed cornering, i run a bit of toe in on back. the front i have hardrace spherical lca bushing with slight increased caster. I also have nylon steering rack bushing. Steering doesnt wander on highway anymore. I would like more caster but the back is more of an issue than the front. I run AR1 they are good.
Awesome video guys. Very well explained. The steering design on a EP3 is very strange. I'm used the the steering arms attaching to the end of the rack not on a bracket in the middle. Is it the alignment that is setup for track? That can easily be adjusted. The fact that you've got solid bearing bushes now means you can feel a lot more through the wheel. I guess you'll find out at Llandow what it's really like
To my knowledge, its basically a cheaper design than double wishbone. It's the alignment that makes the pulling more aggressive, it could be toned down but we want it at maximum attack for track so hopefully it's a worthy sacrifice! Lol - Drew
Did you guys do the slider mod too? It’s the solid piece that replaces the plastics one from factory that the rider bolts too it’s behind that rubber boot that makes a big difference too
I found the same when i had a keen ep. You just cant enjoy it on the road as well as you can on track. Wheres eg/ek/dc2 is much more accommodating on the road in the same spec
You are absolutely right! In standard form the EP3 is fun on twisty roads, but once you start changing differentials etc, they become a handful! We are fortunate enough to have driven EGs & DC5s and you're right, they are much more forgiving! - Drew
I have an ep3 lowered on yellowspeed coil overs and fitted hardrace inverted tie rods , rack slider, rack raiser and extended ball joints and it made the bump steer 5x times worse . Almost undrivable . .
get rid of the inverted tie rods and rack riser. i tested bumpsteer on the alignment rack at my work and it was significantly worse when you add those things. got rid of them and the car was good, keep the ball joints and slider though
I find the ns2r’s make the ep3’s pull all over the road especially when it’s a uneven surface. I swap my wheels for some with standard road tyres when I’m using mine on the road for any length of time as it’s so much better 👌👍
Awesome video guys 👌🏼 love it. That's very well explained, I had no idea what it was 😅 good to hear she is more of a handful now 😜 gonna pay dividends on the track though 👌🏼👌🏼
Thank you mate! 🙏 We knew what it was, but our knowledge was limited. But thanks to One Day Motorsport we now fully understand! Lol Glad we could share the knowledge! - Drew
Them camber and toe figures they sent is lot to do with why its like it is on the road. As you guys said on a track around corners that will be hugging. Be warned a negative 3 camber will eat your tyres. One or two tracks and your tyres will prob be edged lmao you will know what I mean when you see it.
Great video! There seems to be a bit of debate on whether or not the steering rack riser is helpful. I highly recommend checking out Mike Kojima's MotoIQ vid where he goes over the EP3 and how to remedy the EP3 and DC5's suspension, geometry and steering issues. Always a pleasure as usual, you guys are smashing it. This car is mean as hell Kenny what you have done to it is awsome man
Thank you brother! 🙏
It is a very aggressive beast now! We can't wait to get her back on the track!
- Drew
Can't wait to see this car going around track
We are very curious to see the difference on track!

I’ve a supercharged ep3 and mine does exactly this it’s scary as hell on a country road 😂
It does seem to be a common EP3 trait unfortunately lol still amazing cars though!
- Drew
Yeah very true, does the steering self centre ok on exiting corners?mines pretty much non existent and have to do it myself 🤦🏼♂️
Bang the engine in an older lighter Honda with double wishbones 👍🏻
Great vid 👌 nice to see the technical bits of the build well explained drew pal 👍
Thanks man!
Really appreciate that, was very interesting to learn so glad we could share it with you guys!

Yes we done the slider too. It was just such an aggressive set up. worked supurb on track though.
Thanks
Ken
Good video but (sorry if I missed it) a link for the kit would help us out
Hi mate. The kit was supplied and fitted by One Day Motorsport.
Thank you

The advantages of of proper double wishbone suspension. 🥰
would this apply to the dc5?
How much would all this cost
This would technically work for the DC5 as well right?

Followed this Civic , and the GT4 RS, onto the M4 at Bridgend today...
I really wanted to see the GT4 go for it 😂. Way too much traffic though 👌

Do you still have the car? It's been a while since you posted anything with/about it. We never got to see it on track.
@@Programentalist the Civic did sell a while back. We did a video at Llandow with the Civic showing off its awesome ability on track.

@@accelerateyoutube Ah, I'll check that one out.
Can't find anything about the kit on their website, I'm assuming it's an email them about it thing
I contacted them via Facebook and booked in from there.
Thanks

This video should be titled how to make your bumpsteer worse. Because they literally made it worse in this video.

Thanks, I have seen that during my research. The raiser was fitted to mine previously.
Thanks
