I hate how the symptoms try and trick you like they go away for a couple weeks and then they comes back and it feels like it’s the first time . I been getting the chocking sensation but i know I’ve been there before and we just have to put it under the anxiety umbrella ☔️
thank you .this is probably the most realistic way of dealing with anxiety rather than scheduling times for sleep watching screens 30 mins before sleep blah blahs. Not everyone wills to follow those orders...and speaking of the truth from ur perspective had really created a positive impact on ppl with sleep anxiety..Will try the tips suggested for sure..,👍
I started getting up and watching anything that made me laugh and laughed for many hours. It took months, but I stopped waking up anxious and I can nap again. Sleep is still inadequate but it’s improving because now I can be calm in bed while awake and can fall back to sleep after multiple wake ups throughout the night. I also change beds in the night going back and forth between bedrooms.
The biggest problem for me with sleeping is that I feared of dark room.I am able to sleep in room where plenty of light is present but fears in dark room
My anxiety was so severe that i had the worse anxiety dreams and was waking up every 20 minutes. The way i felt during the dreams was absolutely terrible. I would wake up and feel the same way i felt during my dreams and i kept thinking about my dreams and that freaked me out so much i ended up at the emergency multiple times. I tried a lot of medications and it was only the sedative Ativan that helped me. However i couldnt take it for too long because of dependecy but just like Claire Weekes says in her book we can take a sedative if its getting out of control.

This help me some of the times when i suddenly wake up between 2 pm and 4 pm. Ill stay in the bed for 10 mins if i dont fall back to sleep then ill go in to the living room and try to sleep. It was so bad that i could NOT get up from the bed without getting a anxiety attack. The doctor prescribed me Citalopram and other antidepressiv medicin and it made all the things even worse... i went to the ER a lot i thought i was dying and every blood check came back normal, MR scans came back normal except my blood pressure. The blood pressure was high I swear, i must have called the ER and my doctor like 50 times. I thought i was alone but one day at the hospital when i was being checked i felt in talk with two other patients that had similar symptoms like me. That made me realise i was not alone. The doctor who treated me even told me he just himself went through what i am going through right now... So it can hit everybody It hits different. It got me to a point where i thought i have some kind of mental ilness such as schizophrenia or a severe depression. My body felt sick with a mind full of chaos and doom. My brain suddenly felt like a brain of a ADHD (i assume people with ADHD have it like this) where the volume of my thoughts were increaed by 200% and my inner voice were trying to calm down thoose thoughts. I have never experienced such a inner battle. Inner peace just vanished and restlessness and inner chaos happened.
