Raul was a terrific actor. He had a certain magnetism to him, with incredible on screen presence and charisma. It's sad he died at a relatively young age. He is gone, but will never be forgotten.
He died at 54, in his prime. You bet that's a young age! We had not seen half of the amazing work he would have done on stage and screen. A tragedy, personally and professionally. God bless him, a great actor and a principled man of huge heart.
@@glamdolly30 Indeed! I fully agree with you. His death was very unexpected back in October 1994. In fact I remember reading that the doctors expected him to make a full recovery from the stroke but apparently it took a turn for the worse. Also, what is absolutely incredible to me is his work as a philanthropist, championing the cause to end world hunger, and bringing awareness to this using his fame and appeal as an actor. His last few films were also when he was incredibly sick, yet he turned in performances at the time that other actors could only dream of duplicating. Street Fighter is a good example of that, and also the fact that he cared a lot for his kids and did this for them. I wonder if they will ever bring him back in CGI format one day? Not that any CGI and another actor's voice over of Raul could ever possibly come close to replicating his incredible on-screen presence, it would be interesting to see him brought to life nonetheless.
“a very nice swamp!” he never sounded more Gomez 😄 he seemed like such a wonderful man, so sad he went so young 🖤
Gomez Addams, Valentin Arregui and M. Bison will always be his top 3 performances for me 👍🏻 RIP Raul, taken from us far too soon 😔😔
