Interesting video. I grew up in Southeastern Pennsylvania where the indigenous people were forced out long ago. I had the good luck to live 4 years in Western NY and work with a member of the Seneca nation and got to learn about their history and culture from indigenous people. Later in life I lived in Southeast Alaska where I learned about the indigenous people there from tribal members. Learning from them made me unlearn and discard the stereotypes that were presented to me as a child. I now have deep respect for indigenous culture and find studying about them interesting and enlightening.
All we can do is to try to be better while teaching our children better than we were taught. That's the only way to break the cycle of disrespect and destruction. It's sad when people are taught that the world is to be used and commodified. Taking things that belong to everyone is shameful. It breaks my heart to think about all the people who still think and act this way towards others and the world.
I am glad to see more and different views of indigenous peoples from shows like Reservation Dogs, the movie Prey. Something I haven’t seen since the days of POW Wow Highway.

Heart wrenching generational cruelty all too common in the wake of colonial destruction.

Really well done
This video is extremely Canadian: academic, thorough, empathetic, and cheaply produced 😆
Natives should try to create thier own cinema rather than demand a colonial make it for them
Just because you don't know about something doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
@ I do know.
Colonials should just find some other land instead of demanding natives to let them settle here....
