- Due to popular demand here is the overview video of how I setup my GoPro Helmet Camera to capture true to life first person game footage.
This setup allows me to position the camera as close as possible to my eyesight and makes for very believable videos without that 7 foot tall effect.
I used the place holder plate that came with my replica helmet and an arm that came with the GoPro in that see though box, it might have been the arm that they use to display the camera. I am also using one extension arm that came in a pack of five from eBay, link below.

If you don't want to mess with the custom setup consider getting the NVG mount in combination with two extension arms to get a similar result.

For sure, I am also currently developing a new mount that will be 3D printed that will bring the camera even closer to the helmet and will not need the screw in the back as it will simply line up by resting against the helmet and always give you that perfect view.

Great video, but I went the other way and bought two of the blue arms and mounted it on the GOPRO NVG mount and it works just fine.

I've had heard that it's doesn't bring and Special mount that a Ops-Core, nor Emerson helmet that I have doesn't comes with this Mount.

do all helmets with nvg mounts have the same nvg plate that you have? because the helmet I see looks different. Also can you explain to me were you got the arm starting from the nvg plate?..I'm lost. I can see the 2-way extension thing but I would rather not spend all that money and just end up using one of the extensions( the black color ). great video I just need help lol

Did you need the counterweights to hold the ballance of the helmet on your head?
No it is very light not noticeable enough to add a counter weight.
If it does effect, try putting a “battery” in the back of your helmet, or even a real battery for some rear weight.

How would I attach a GoPro to the side rails on my Bump helmet? I’m using a Matrix Medieval Knight helmet with an opening face/visor and I don’t want the camera to face up when I open it, so I want it to be on the side, are there attachments for that?

Hi man, I was just wondering what software you use to edit your gopro videos?
I used Adobe Premiere CC but most programs will work just fine.
If you're worried about losing the GoPro, run steel cable to it, and attach to the mount. We do the same with NODS.
Try using a pop rivet instead of a screw. It will hold the go pro stable same spot and not be sharp or have edges.....nice and smooth...plus it will not move as it is a rivet. great video....nice way to use the mounts

No, this is my design of the NVG mount. All you need is your camera the case it came with and one of those screw/nut arms that come with every gopro. This put the camera in perfect alignment every time and no extension arms needed. Check out the pics on the Shapeways site.

I have recently received a GoPro as a gift and it came with all the stuff I need to replicate what you did for your setup except for the NVG cover plate or the GoPro NVG mount. I know I could buy one and have it ordered but the next Airsoft war I am going to is in a few days so what would you suggest I do to either create a NVG mount or any easy ways to attach the camera.

You can always screw on one of the gopro mounting plates into where the NVG mount currently is, maybe take off the NVG plate this is removable and can be put back on later and screw on one of those sticky back mounts onto the helmet and then slide in the gopro and the arm into the mount, that's a quick solution if you are willing to add some holes to the helmet.

You can probably put some electrical tape around it to make it a tighter fit.

How do you get your gameplay to record up right when you record upside down
You can either flip it in the video editing software or GoPro has a setting for recording upside down (it auto flips it for you).
What kind of accessory case do you recommend for the gopro 5/6 to attach to the nvg mount?

what spray paint did u use for ur helmet?
I believe it was Rustoleum 2X coverage from Lowes or Home Depot.
Looks like a good colour, was just asking because i was thinking of spraying m helmet but its kinda hard to judge what kind of spray paint to use being that they all have their own shades of FDE or Cyote Brown. Thanks for the info bro! :p
I think it was Khaki and Sage Green I also used some Primer Gray.
I have the same set up, the one problem i find is that u spend a lot of time filming our one optics on ur gun..

What helmet do you recommend for a multicam load out
I would say a Tan one you can always throw a MC helmet cover on it to match the rest of the gear.

Test it out at the store and look for comfort above all. I would also recommend the one that has the adjustment screw on the back.
I don't live near a store I just order things online.

BrainExploder Hi, when you record upside down do you have to change your gopro settings or does the camera flip the videos?
I typically change my settings but the video can be flipped in editing as well.

Can someone please make or link me to a video of how he got his mesh lower and goggles to...'mesh' so well together? To be so flush? When I wear my goggles and lower in tangent, they don't fit together perfectly and it leaves a gap, exposing the bridge of my nose. Already been shot there. Fucking hurts. Would like to avoid.
