How to Install a Touch Screen Radio in a Car | 2008 Toyota Highlander | Very Nice Results

- The radio in most Toyota models is basic and old. This radio's buttons stopped turning vol up and down, aux plug stopped working. Here is how I removed an analog factory radio and installed a digital touch screen radio for a 2008 Toyota Highlander. The whole process took about 60 min. Did not need any fancy tools. I think the results look amazing. Got the system from eBay for $150 and was shipped from Cali.

Hi, can you tell me what radio and harness that you used for this 2008 Toyota Highlander? I have bought a radio, but cannot find a harness to fit my vehicle… A 2008 Toyota highlander sport base.

the harness I use in the installation came with the radio. If the radio you purchased doesn’t have a harness or it doesn’t fit, then they may have sold you a radio that is not compatible with your model Highlander

It held on well. I sold the SUV recently. It was still working perfectly

Amazon eBay & Ali Express do these units for good prices I got mine from Amazon 18 months ago for my 2012 RAV4, works very well.
Is there a follow up video as far as quality, functionality, glitches etc?
The radio functioned well with no issues as of 6 months ago, unfortunately the Highlander engine failed after 300K miles and had to sell it for scrap

@@juanmangerita sound was okay, like a 3 out of 5. The factory radio had more bass and treble than this one.
@@Peteromoni so if I am looking for better sound maybe it is not the way to go? The radio just offers other features? As far as sound quality, would you recommend maybe a pioneer, Kenwood,Sony with a dash adapter? Thanks for your response.
@@juanmangerita yes get a pioneer or kenwood for sound , this was more for the screen features and navigation

Hi MP, I honestly do not remember the brand name, however if you follow a.co/d/gvIQ9lp to a similar unit on Amazon it will give you an idea. Hope this helps .

Does the knob have a function like volume control or a search station or press for on or off feature?
The on/off and search/seek function is on the screen, the knob is used for volume
