Just like with humans, the healthier dog foods are the most expensive but just like with humans if you eat crap you end up at a doctors office if you feed your dog crap you’ll end up at the vets. I have a medium size dog and I would never ever think to feed him anything that came out of Walmart. I get deals and use coupons for a decent dog food. It may not be the top of the line, but it’s better than what’s in Walmart. just because it’s expensive doesn’t mean it’s good blue buffalo dog food has so many recalls. It’s scary.

I totally agree with your comment. I've had cats in the past twenty five years, and if I fed them garbage food, they would have renal failure. Whenever I fed my pets better food, they lived longer

My stepdad used to feed his dog large Anchovy. Pizza three nights a week when he would buy it. I've had several dogs over my lifetime. And I have found that when I feed them human food. They go after my food when I don't want them to

@@cjgoeslive That is true! They like human food. The neighbors feed their dog at the exact same time as they eat. We noticed if our dog eats her dog food at the same time as we eat she doesn't beg. We put a table spoon of what we eat. She thinks we are eating the same thing.

I do surveys and product tests for Amazon credit and buy on sale at Amazon for my 3 cats and 1 of my dogs.
    I always keep a stockpile.
I also shop the vent and dents.
They each get about 6 ounces of wet a day and some dry food for a snack and they're healthy weight.
For the dogs, I feed depending on their weight.
One gets 2 &1/2 cups a day, the other 1&1/2 (dry)
With a wet food topper here and there.
As for people food, I shop sales and discounts.
Right now 80/20 ground beef is on sake for $1.99/ lb, I stocked up!
And pork chops, and ham steaks have been cheap so I stocked up on those, and the cold $4 Rotisserie chickens when I can find them.
It always pays to look for discounts at your store too.
I just grabbed (5) 5 Lb. bags of parboiled rice for $1.04/each.

I am low income and can afford to feed my pets. I shop at a discount store and get monthly coupons. I use the coupons to buy the pet food and am feeding them a good quality food. The food would normally cost 65 a bag, but at the discount store it is 55 a bag. With the coupons, I can get that same food for 50 a bag, sometimes less, depending on the coupon.
Those low end dog foods you are showing are not really food. They are corn and soy filled junk food. Check the ingredients. The Dogs poop out most of the food and you need to feed them more of the junkie stuff. I feed my my dogs a higher quality food, so they do not to eat as much.
You can get low cost vaccinations for your animals by looking for low cost clinics. You can also learn how to take care of minor illnesses/injuries to avoid high cost vet visits.

Generous portions of veggies makes it like a stew. Refrigerate the majority and have throughout week. Soup is better next day after flavors jell. Packed with nutrition, filling and economical.

I'm on dog 6 and 7, one is a 6 month german shepherd, the other is a year old pit mix. in the past year dog 3, 4 and 5 have passed away, I truly believe, you'll pay for good food or you'll pay for vet bills. That said, I didn't feed my dogs low end dog food as seen in this video. you really have to look at the recommended serving size... for the same dog it will wildly range by dog food. so for a 30lb bag, you think your getting x servings but are you when they want you to feed 5 cups a day?
