- Jumping straight to the 80’s! I think it’s our first 80’s cover song actually.
Here is The Cars - Drive. It was released in 1984.
I really love this band. Almost every track is a hit. Great stuff! It was super fun trying to emulate the synth riff on acoustic guitar.

-MXL 990 (upgraded) mic for my vocals & guitar.
-Neumann gefell mv692 mic on Lital’s vocals. (It’s just outside the frame so you can’t see it)
-Bass recorded with DI

It's said that a tune or a song stirs up memories of good times, or bad. I've always loved this song it reminds me of my son Kevin who helped his mother and I to build our house and I taught him to play guitar. Yes, one time a sheriff's deputy pulled him over for DUI and I drove his truck home. At 39 he was an alcoholic, he took his own life on March 31, 2018. The lyrics; "Who's gonna drive you home", have a special meaning to his mother and me ! Thanks to you both, this rendition touched our hearts !

Remember being very unimpressed when this first came out. I probably thought it was overproduced, as most things were in those days. This version is extremely soulful, and stripped back to their 2 guitars accentuates the soulfulness. No exaggeration to say that I now like this song very much. Maybe I'll go and listen to the original again!
I agree - I knew the Cars from their new wave incarnation, and was really disappointed when this came out. But stripping it down works brilliantly.

I actually use an amazing Panasonic camera but the whole idea is that I put a 8mm filter effect for vintage look. That’s kinda our thing ;)

Amir Darzi, your voice is so good, mate. Your voice is so natural coming out of you, but it sounds like it went through a voice synthesizer or voice box harmony machine. Wow, you are gifted, mate. So natural, and yet so many professional artists have to use modern gadgets and machines to achieve that voice.
