Seeing you two enjoy the food of the US is a joy because I've heard it said that most of the world thinks all we eat is fast food. They just don't know how we roll, lol! All of that looked fabulous!!
Yeah it’s kind of frustrating that that’s the stereotype. Bc we have so many climates to grow so many fruits and veg naturally that we have flavor here, and bc we have so much diversity we have access to pretty much everything. As if Germany as room to talk about what we eat
There is nothing more wholesome than watching people from different areas/cultures trying food you know you love and enjoying it as much as you do. Just really makes me smile.

Thanks so much for sharing your meals and vids with us. I'd be interested in seeing what kinds of foods that you guys have back in England, and in case no one ever told y'all, welcome to America cousins.
I can't tell you how much I enjoy watching you guys just enjoying food and having a good time. Yes, it's fun to see two British folks trying "American" foods and being blown away every single time (well maybe not all the fast-food stuff, but you know lol) but there are (literally) a million channels like that now. I am going through some stuff right now. And every time I see a new video from you guys, I get a smile on my face and I've said this before but thank you for being you and not some pretentious "proper" British people or arrogant complain-y Americans (which you are obviously not lol) and I really hope you two just keep enjoying everything our stupid little country has to offer.

I’m pretty sure what she said “had sun dried tomatoes in it” was what we call pimiento cheese here in the South. It’s shredded cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, and pimientos, along with some black pepper and hot sauce (maybe a diced jalapeño), usually. Amazing stuff on hot bread.
You two are a lovely couple and I love the joy and smile on your faces! I pray that you gain more subscribers so that your videos can pay more more of your meals. Andrew I must say, to both of you actually, Nicolas' face is SO expressive, always a happy person but when she encounters a wonderful flavor, or a funny part of your interactions it simply lights up the entire video. OMG the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding! That looks amazing. Oh, and of course the steak. Never turn down a good Tomahawk Steak! The compound butters look interesting too and they're easy to make. Looks like a fun time! Thanks for another great video!
My husband and I had this conversation about " how to's" when enjoying a meal. We decided it doesn't matter the method as long as you are comfortable with it and enjoy the meal. Grats on trying the dreaded salad. The steak was done perfect for me also.A slightly less trendy steak you might like is the good old ribeye.I like a baked potato with butter, salt and pepper and fixins which is usually a small serving set of bacon bits, sour cream and chives so you can add only as much or little as you want. Some steakhouses have things like non-fried trout or shrimp which are worth trying.New York style ones usually have creamed spinach as a side. You can probably request no tomatoes, since allergic people can. There are other salads like pasta salad, micro greens and such which might be a little easier for non lettuce lovers.Americans are lettuce lovers, thus the Big Mac.Try a plate of raw veggies and Ranch for a real American thing sometime..
Great vid. You guys are finding your stride, and I’m excited for you. I thought of other places you could try. Go to Tampa, Florida, like soon before it’s too hot. There’s a burger place called Culver’s. Best burgers in the U.S. for sure. Get the Butterburger Deluxe w/cheese (no tomato) combo meal. Get cheese curds w/the combo and any drink you like. Also get fries, onion rings and a concrete mixer of your choosing. My go-to is the Butterfinger. Culver’s is based in Wisconsin, hence the cheese curds, but they’re salty so dip them in ranch. They also give you marinara, but the cool ranch is better IMO. Onion rings there are best in the world. I said what I said. Then, go to Portillo’s. Get the hot dog w/everything and another one minus the nuclear colored relish. Get the beef sandwich fully dipped. Don’t be shy. You want it completely submerged in the broth so it’s flavorful and not dry at all. Then, get a cake shake. They blend an entire slice of a big, fat cake with ice cream. They’re famous for it. I’ve not had one, but it must be good if it’s famous, and I don’t need those kind of cravings. Their onion rings are identical to Culver’s, so you’d think anyone can do them but no. Go to Wawa’s for a Philly Cheesesteak. It’s a gas station, not as big as Buccee’s but sandwiches just as good, I think. The meatball sub is good too. I also get roasted veggies on the side. Very affordable and delicious. You could hit up Disney or Universal, trying their food. Disney is famous for their Dole Whip frosty or slushy. Idk but you can only get them in their parks, and apparently they’re amazing. Miami has crab claws that are famous and of course the Cuban sandwich, which you can get in Tampa too which is where it was created. Go to NYC for bagels, NY pizza, and food trucks in Chinatown and in general. Find affordable food in the city. Head to Boston for lobster rolls. That’s enough for now. Enjoy! 😁
Your recommendations are gold! We appreciate the effort you put into sharing these food gems with us. We will try and work through the list in the future. Thanks for watching
Wow. And here I was going to send you a suggestion to go and have a tomahawk steak. I actually thought of telling you that today and look what you've done already! Love it. Same day I saw it is the same day you put the video on. ☺️
I ate at Flemings when I was in Salt lake City a few weeks ago and I was surprised. I had the dry aged steak and was not a fan of the flavor. It was a great cut of meat and cooked perfectly but if theres ever another time, i will just get the regular ribeye. The Flemings potato was great and the brussel sprouts were great too!
It's a joy to see you both loving the food of the United States. Such a cute couple. That tomahawk looked a little on the smaller side. We typically have them about a 1/3 larger than yours. While you both are in Texas, you need to try a quality prime rib.
My favorite steak is a simple boneless rib-eye, the places near me have some really good rib-eye steak dinners for about $27.50, and they are very good. I go to a place called Club Phoenix in Bartonville Illinois. It's a mom and pop place that has all kinds of food, but they are known for their marinated steaks served on those metal hot plates. They have a 16 oz. boneless rib-eye steak dinner, with 2 sides, for $27.50. You get baked potato or fries, and a big salad. I usually eat half my steak, and the sides, and take the other half of the steak home with me, after the sides and half the steak I am more than full. So it's a really good deal for less than $30.00. And the steak is amazing, it is so good and so juicy you do not even need any steak sauce on it.
@@thebritstryTaste of Chicago July 5th- 15th. Grant Park right on Lake Michigan. More than 35 vendors ( restaurants) showing off their food. Stay in a hotel in downtown Chicago. GREAT food !!
If you guys are in Texas, you should come to WAY west Texas. Get some green and red chili from the Hatch chili valley. The Hatch chili valley is what the Napa valley is to wine.
Next time you get a steak ask for a side of Au Jus. It's sort of like a seasoned beef stock you can dip your steak bites into it and it will bring out the flavor of the steak and make it juicier. ❤
Oh golly, you did Franklin's bbq and the tomahawk steak huge dinner the same day?!? Those would be like my only meal for the day if i did either one, much less this many courses. Ready to reveal your favorite austin region meal yet?
Y'all should have come to Odessa, TX to The Barn Door and got the Fluffy Special. If I remember correctly it's basically the Tomahawk steak and y'all could've watched them grilling too since their grill is in the middle of the restaurant. Plus you could have gotten it however you wanted it. They also have giant blocks of hoop cheddar and bread as an appetizer. Also liked I said a while back they have some AWESOME homemade pies and my favorite, Coconut Cream Pie.

@@thebritstry you're welcome....I watched your video on going to Brennan's for bananas foster & saw how disappointed y'all were so when y'all tried that bananas foster bread pudding I wanted to make sure you were prepared since restaurants love to use the same word to describe different things....I'm sure you'll definitely run into some strange sounding combinations on your journey around the states & some will be delicious & some will be 🤢 but at least you can say you tried lol
Thank you for the suggestions! We'll definitely try the ribeye steak and the baked potato fixins next time. Thanks for watching!
I'm not sure how long I'll be able to watch your video, they make me so hungry! 😆
We appreciate your support! It means a lot that our videos are engaging enough to make you hungry.
a bone and these nuts in one epi. 😂🤣 this one was a fun one!!!
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed the episode.
@@thebritstry Yeah, got carried away. Hopefully, it’ll be helpful at some point but looking forward to wherever you go next.
Wow. And here I was going to send you a suggestion to go and have a tomahawk steak. I actually thought of telling you that today and look what you've done already! Love it. Same day I saw it is the same day you put the video on. ☺️
It is so funny when that happens! please let us know if you have any other ideas in the future!
looks good, but where Im from a tomahawk steak is for 4 people at least. this was a baby tommy aha
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! and Thanks for watching!
It's a joy to see you both loving the food of the United States. Such a cute couple. That tomahawk looked a little on the smaller side. We typically have them about a 1/3 larger than yours. While you both are in Texas, you need to try a quality prime rib.
Thank you so much for your kind words and suggestions! We're thrilled to explore more delicious food options in Texas.
That sounds like a delicious meal deal! We will have to make our way to Illinois in the future! Thanks for watching
@@thebritstryTaste of Chicago July 5th- 15th. Grant Park right on Lake Michigan. More than 35 vendors ( restaurants) showing off their food. Stay in a hotel in downtown Chicago. GREAT food !!
Try the Puddery-it’s a dessert spot in Houston
Thanks for the advice! we would love to check out Houston in the Future. We will add this to the list of place to try.
That's good. I hope the meds. keep working for you. Welcome to Texas!😊
Thank you for your kind words!
I would love to see you 2 go grocery shopping at a Wal-Mart and compare the prices to the UK grocery stores
Thanks for the idea! We will see if we can arrange a trip to Walmart
She said "deez nuts" and I can't be more happy with her. 😂
One of my favorite food pairings is a medium rare filet mignon with a Caesar salad😊
Yes, That sounds like a delicious combination! Thanks for sharing
Love you guys! Forward adventures
Thank you so much for your support! We appreciate it! Thanks for watching
Y’all are so much fun y’all if y’all ever come through Pensacola Florida, give me a shout out. I would love to take you to some good restaurants here.
Thank you so much for your kind offer! I'll definitely keep Pensacola in mind for my future travels.
You should have a million subscribers!!!!
I'm been making a lot of compound butters recently. They're delicious. Super easy to make too
Thanks for watching! They were so good and really added to the flavor of the steaks
@thebritstry try making them at home. You can finds loads of recipes on youtube
If you guys are in Texas, you should come to WAY west Texas. Get some green and red chili from the Hatch chili valley.
The Hatch chili valley is what the Napa valley is to wine.
It never entered his mind that he could take some home.
I had a walnut orchard over my backyard fence growing up. To this day I can’t stand walnuts now cashews on the other hand yummm
It's so funny how foods tastes can change over time. Thanks for watching!
Great video guys! I always order my food with no tomato! I can’t stand them so I feel your pain!
Hey, thanks for watching! It's cool to hear that you're on the no-tomato team too.
@@thebritstry 💯💯!!
Next time you get a steak ask for a side of Au Jus. It's sort of like a seasoned beef stock you can dip your steak bites into it and it will bring out the flavor of the steak and make it juicier. ❤
Thanks for the tip! Thats a pro move we would have thought about! Thanks for watching!
@@thebritstry Take my word for it I was a chef for over 30 years and every decent restaurant that serves steak or prime rib has Au Jus.
Good thing about not able to finish at the table, is requesting to take it with you to inspect again later when the tastebuds are requesting more.
Lol, you are right! sometimes leftovers taste better. Thanks for watching!
I love a good Tomahawk Steak. My very favorite and I am always surprised how much I can actually eat.
Same here! It look huge and then we looked down and it was gone LOL! Thanks for watching
Love y'all's videos hope to see a Gatlinburg TN video of Yun's. Y'all should try Old Mill restaurant in Pigeon Forge.
Thanks for watching and the recommendation! We'll see if we can make it to Old Mill in Pigeon Forge for a video soon!
@@thebritstry Appreciate you two, also taste test some moonshine while y'all are there it's cheap and you'll have a blast.
I've never been there, but I hear the pecan pie is amazing!
We would have loved to try the pecan pie next time, The 2 desserts we had were REALLY good. Thanks for watching!
Oh golly, you did Franklin's bbq and the tomahawk steak huge dinner the same day?!? Those would be like my only meal for the day if i did either one, much less this many courses.
Ready to reveal your favorite austin region meal yet?
Lol! yes it was a marathon of a day! but it was so worth it!!
That sounds amazing! Thanks for the recommendation. We will try and get there soon.
That looks so yummy 😋
It was so good! The desserts were also really good, Thanks for watching
