Is this rifle the Bergara ie( 🤔rifle & barrel that is made in Spain) ? Have you done the Anschuets MPR64 using Eley Match ammo ? Great informative video but thought you said, 50 and 100yd groups ! Would love to see 100yd. Groups with SK LONG RANGE & ElLEY MATCH Ammo. ? What is the KRG you said, to get and put in ?
What is your cleaning routine between BRANDS of ammo ?? I picked up my B14r yesterday, and I like it so far. The bolt was pretty dry and the trigger is too heavy for me, (I'm used to 1.5 oz to 8oz), but I can drop a Jewell in any time or a Calvin Elite. I was thinking I might send my barreled action to "The Lapua Test Center, and have them find out what lot number of which ammo my gun likes the best. For $50 bucks, you can't go wrong.
yea i was going to do that with a 457 i had but it shot so bad i didn't feel like taking the time and effor to send it out. In a few of my previous videos i ran a bore snake through the barrel between ammo types but it didnt' really seem to make a difference so i just go from one to the next without cleaning now.
Your Eley force groups out of the Bergara are much like the groups it get with my CZ455V. My KIDD shoots the force a little better but not by too much. I would think every ammo test should include Eley Club and SK Rifle Match they are half the price of Cenetr-X and shoot almost the same level of accuracy.
i know i keep saying it but i really like force. it works well at long distance (400+) and doesn't destabilize in the transonic zone at least for me. As far as center x goes i mean yea you definitely get what you pay for. its the best for a reason.
Corey: Did you ever see the Bergara action smooth out for you? I am debating between the Tikka with the Bravo Chassis and the Bergara.... is your preference still the Tilkka set up due to its smoother action and shorter throw? Or has your opinion changed?
I have the tikka t1x and find the action to be rough and not smooth as others have stated ,not at all like the center fire tikkas ,but it is getting better with use .It is very accurate ,I had it out last weekend and shot against a win 52 and a high end anscuhtz and it ran right with them .All it needs is a better trigger and I was using the stock it came with just added the pistol grip and wider forend
How do you like the Strike Eagle? I’m torn between the Strike Eagle and an Athlon Midas Tac. If I was going to go big or go home, I’d get another Nightforce NXS 8-32x56 like on my 6.5 Creedmoor but I’m not ready to shell out.
you know if you had asked me two days ago i would say they're awesome i have two. however when i pulled out my bxr which has one on it the focus started clicking like the turrets when i moved it and the gun was shooting all over the place so i'm not sure whats going on with it. gonna get it back out this weekend and see. my other one has been 100% functional.
Here is comment, what I am looking for the shooter going through each step, follow through. Meaning, keeping the head the cheek maintaining contact with the stock. Talking group size paper targets are obtaining . How the person shoots passing on proper shooting techniques is more important than showing a paper targets the results. I am new to the 22-caliber thing, so how one shoots is high on my list of how to. I'm far from new to the shooting area.
Thanks for the review, I’m waiting for the barreled actions to drop. Planning on putting it in a short action Legacy AICS chassis, since the bergara has the r700 footprint. It’s going to be a trainer to my big boy!
so the barreled actions have already been out but i guess they have super long wait times. the full rifle came in stock and shipped within about a week or so. just fyi
Corey D thanks! I’m waiting for the distribution channels to come in stock at a lower price point. I’m not so eager to get one for MSRP. Although I’ve noticed this action is getting traction and I wouldn’t want it to be forever out of stock! Haha
I have a Tikka T1 and the toy feel does not convince me and I am going to switch to a Bergara B14 it seems more solid when you use it. Closer to a centerfire rifle.
I have a review for you that a lot of Ruger Precision Rimfire owners would like. Take you RPR and replace the barrel with a BSF match carbon fiber barrel $400. The barrel replacement is easy to do, there is no head-space adjustment. Take off the barrel nut remove the old barrel and but in the BSF barrel. My RPR with the BSF carbon fiber barrel averaged 0’259 “.for five five shot groups at 50 yards using Lapua Midas plus ammo. It will shoot as well as your Bergara.
i like the RPRF, i had one and like it. i messed with the factory barrel and it shot worse so my lesson learned was leave it alone. not worth the average .010 better group sizing especially for 400 more bucks on an already 450 dollar rifle. at that point you misewell just buy a berg.

Man where were you buying Center-X for 12cpr Lowest i was getting it pre panic was like 20cpr, though still getting it for ~22cpr right now. While SV is at like 18cpr...
If the Tikka and Bergara shoot equally as you suggest, then I would choose the Bergara simply because it's an Open System in the sense that it is Rem700 compatible. Don't like the trigger, the stock, the optic mounting? Change it out. That's big!
@@coreyd1474 Thank you for that Corey - I had not known that and the most important thing to me is the trigger, which is available for T3 from Timney. And with the Tikka being 1/2 the price, you have to take that one seriously!
@@coreyd1474 appreciated. These reviews are great. pretty much what sold me on the Tikka + Krg combo. Only difference being I tossed on a Athlon Midas Tac i had laying around.
Corey D I have both also. Both shoot great bit I think the steel barreled one may edge out the carbon. Mainly run the budget Eley and CCI standard but also tested various bulk that I grabbed over the years. I will be testing more upper end stuff when ammo becomes more available again and I know I can get the same lot numbers. My average with both guns at just under 200 yards is under 3in with my best 6 group target of just over 2 1/4. Eley Action 40gr has done very good in both but of course they are not making it any more. Would be great to see you run both on the same day same ammo.
@@melglass1817 that's good at 200. I think the moa numbers should be adjusted for 22 after 50 yards in my option. If it holds 3 inches consistently at 200 thats damn good for a 22.
Corey D. Goal is to have a multi group target with an average under 2in and a sub 1in group thrown in. Best 6 group target so far is 2.298 with the carbon and best group is 1.383 with the steel gun.
i definitely would love to test one but i would have a hard time buying one at 700 or whatever they are. i have seen people get really good results with them though.
I took mine today to the range, great day for shooting, the rifle performed excellent, a little bit over 3/8 of an inch 10 shot group at 50 yards with lapua center x and the other group around 1/2 inch center to center, but the magazine didn’t last to long, I could only loaded one full magazine, one of the lips that hold the rounds in the magazine got stripped out. Other than that the rifle shoot really good, I am very happy with it, I contacted Bergara I am pretty sure they are going send me a new mag
@@coreyd1474 I received the new magazine last week, I went to the range last Saturday and tried my rifle with the KYL target at 50 yards I hit them all, moved the target to 100 yards and shot the first 5 from 2” to 1” I was able to hit them all 5 I very please with the rifle, I shot Lapua Center X
Is KRG actually making a chassis that is a drop in fit now for the T1X? Is there anyone else with a drop in fit as well? I have the T1X, just haven't got it scoped yet, gonna order the new strike eagle as well.
i don't see it specifically listed on their site but i'm pretty sure it will drop in to any rem 700 chassis. but it would be nice if they made one specifically for the b14r
What I would really like to see is .22lr rifles shot inside at 50 yards. With No wind and temperature control at like 72 degrees. Then we would get a much truer rifle and ammo comparison. As the guys are testing now. It is more shooter skill than rifle accuracy. Wind and temperature changes everything. No complaints about the video. In fact I thought it very good. Just my thoughts.
@@coreyd1474 I've seen mixed reviews on the 457. Mine for example is great and averaged around .400 with both center-x and sk long range match during my ammo testing. It's been fun fighting the weather in Ohio to test ammo hasn't it?
@@coreyd1474 That's unfortunate. It's quite infuriating when streaming services or social media sites discriminate against the right by demonetizing or "shadow banning" users.
good stuff, thanks man pretty sure the t1x is next for me. Been very impressed by my TAC A1 and CTR just wrestling between that, or gettin silly and just picking up a vudoo
So i've got a t1x and i've been really wrestling a vudoo as well but in the end i don't see it shooting 2000 dollars better than the tikka. sure you get to flex on instagram with it but its just not really worth 2500 to me. Sure if it was my only 22 i would probably or if your rona check is burning a hole in your pocket lol. i still like the tikka better than the bergara.
It is NOT an exact match of the HMR PRO. The b14r is made entirely in Spain as the HMR. TPRO has their Premier action and is massaged in their Georgia location. The HMR bolt is smooth as the b14r is. The PRO has a fluted bolt. The b14r and HMR have the economy trigger with limited adjustment. The HMR PRO comes std. with the Triggertech adjustable trigger.
Seriously, 5 shot groups? That is as pointless as shooting 3 shot groups with a center fire. There will never be a reason not to shoot 10 shot groups with 22lr. Pretty much every 22lr comes with a 10 round mag, the rounds are so cheap you will not go broke and 10 shots will actually tell you something.
And my good fellow there in lies the quandary with 22lr ammo when max accuracy is your ultimate goal and why $12-$15 a 50 shoots the pants off 90% of lesser expense ammo The dreaded flyer Cheap 22lr ammo is NOT match ammo because the % of flyers is simply to great the reason legitimate match ammo costs 3-5× as much is quality control of the ammo All lesser expensive match grade ammo is is match ammo that failed to meet that company's quality control standards to be thier top grade most expensive match grade ammo and is then down graded and sold as less costly lower quality match ammo. You will NEVER shoot as well with budget 22lr ammo as well as you will the lagit match ammo that starts at $9-$10 a 50 and only goes up in cost (painfully) from there I own two very accurate 22lr rifles best groups I EVER shot were in the 0.1's and 0.20's using $18 a 50 of RWS R50 and $15 a 50 of Eley Match. Yes both this and my b14r with the carbon barrel are both made in spain. I dont think I've ever tried eley match
Thanks for the vid..looking at the Bergara B14r carbon down the track sometime..just bought a CZ457 MDT so can't justify just yet ;)
im not really a big cz fan, if i were you i would have just go ahead and got the berg but i'm sure it'll work out just fine for you!
Center x sells 21 to 23 cents now , I would love to get it at 12 cents a round Impressive with center x ammo
yea center x shoots well out of all my rifles.
Corey: Did you ever see the Bergara action smooth out for you? I am debating between the Tikka with the Bravo Chassis and the Bergara.... is your preference still the Tilkka set up due to its smoother action and shorter throw? Or has your opinion changed?
its smoothed out slightly but i still prefer the tikka. i was double tapping targets at 200 with it the other day because its so short and smooth.
I have the tikka t1x and find the action to be rough and not smooth as others have stated ,not at all like the center fire tikkas ,but it is getting better with use .It is very accurate ,I had it out last weekend and shot against a win 52 and a high end anscuhtz and it ran right with them .All it needs is a better trigger and I was using the stock it came with
just added the pistol grip and wider forend
Hey has the b14r action smoothed out since you made this video? Assuming you put many more rounds through it. Also what bipod is that
yea a little bit but its no where near as smooth at the carbon barreled version. its an atlas bipod.
I added a piece of felt on both sides of the mag to eliminate side to side play and so far zero jams
yea i had to do the same on my vudoo aluminum mags. thats actually what the folks at vudoo said to do and it works just fine like you said. easy fix.
Great job Corey
Thanks for watching!
I'm far from new to the shooting area.
there is plenty of other shooters out there with good fundamentals, much better than me. i'm not exactly the one to give advice lol
Great video. This might be my next rifle!
it is VERY nice. check out the tikka t1x before you pull the trigger on this though
ruger precision 22... best 22 rifle out there for the money!!!!
For that price range sure I agree with you I loved mine
Hmmm, think I can Cerakote that stock? Not a fan of the factory finish.
eh its kind of a slick finish but im sure you could. just get the carbon version looks a lot better.
Haha
Did the action on the Bergara smooth out over time?
yes it did. not quite as smooth as the carbon version but that one has had several thousand more rounds through it.
Great video.........very nicely done.
Thanks for watching!
Love your voice. Great video :)
thanks for watching.
I have a Tikka T1 and the toy feel does not convince me and I am going to switch to a Bergara B14 it seems more solid when you use it. Closer to a centerfire rifle.
I've owned both and my opinion is the complete opposite

Man where were you buying Center-X for 12cpr
Lowest i was getting it pre panic was like 20cpr, though still getting it for ~22cpr right now. While SV is at like 18cpr...
i think the last time i ordered it was off brownells. haven't bought it for a while.
If the Tikka and Bergara shoot equally as you suggest, then I would choose the Bergara simply because it's an Open System in the sense that it is Rem700 compatible. Don't like the trigger, the stock, the optic mounting? Change it out. That's big!
yes i agree, however the t1 takes t3 accessories which also has a wide range of accessories but not nearly as much as the 700 market.
@@coreyd1474 Thank you for that Corey - I had not known that and the most important thing to me is the trigger, which is available for T3 from Timney. And with the Tikka being 1/2 the price, you have to take that one seriously!
Is the Strike Eagle 5-25x just that good for the $$? Running an Athlon Midas Tac 6-24.. Is it worth switching over the SE?
yes it is. i have two and they're both great.
@@coreyd1474 appreciated. These reviews are great. pretty much what sold me on the Tikka + Krg combo. Only difference being I tossed on a Athlon Midas Tac i had laying around.
@@swe3n525 the tikka is a good rifle. they just need to fix the extraction system. it wears out after a few thousand rounds.
@@coreyd1474 i had that issue with RPR before switching. Have at least a few thousand through the tikka now.
@@swe3n525 i think mine went around 4k ish
How do these two rifles compare with the CZ Trainer w/ the ( I think 24” H.Barrel) ? I think they run around $1500 For the CZ 🙄
I don't see how they would be any better than this especially for the price its a little silly imo.
I'm sure you've been asked this 100 times. Would you recommend this over the way cheaper options out there like RPR?
i would recomment the tikka t1x mtr
Have you ran this one all the way through the same test as you did the Carbon one?
not as extensive but i know it shoots well at 100. hopefully tomorrow i will be able to get out to 200+, depending on what the wind is doing.
Have you tested it at 100 yards ? Curious how it does.
not as extensively as this but it shoots about the same, good stuff under an inch
Would love to see cz 457 MTR I know your other 457 variant didn’t shoot that well but MTR is setup for accuracy!
i definitely would love to test one but i would have a hard time buying one at 700 or whatever they are. i have seen people get really good results with them though.
Corey D I think I’m gonna go with the Bergara for a starter NRL22 gun... what’s your thoughts? Good choice? I was between that and the cz 457 MTR...
@@brettb8763 yes i think so. plus its a true rem 700 footprint if you ever want to swap parts out
I just ordered my today, hopefully I will have it late this week
you won't be disappointed.
@@Boalfero i'm sure they will. glad its performing for you!
@@Boalfero it really is such a good rifle.
Wait a second....... was that sk magazine or sk rifle match?
sk standard
can u send me some links about bipod and attachments ?
thank you sir
i apologize i cannot send links via youtube they'll block it and give me strikes.
What planet are yo on to be buying Center-X for 12 cents per round? Cos i want to move there....
a pre covid price world.
@@coreyd1474 51 cents a round here in Aussie Land....
What rail do you have for the atlas bipod
the rail section is from area 419. its called the improved rail section or something similar.
What is the rail you put on the forend?
made by are 419
What I would really like to see is .22lr rifles shot inside at 50 yards. With No wind and temperature control at like 72 degrees. Then we would get a much truer rifle and ammo comparison. As the guys are testing now. It is more shooter skill than rifle accuracy. Wind and temperature changes everything. No complaints about the video. In fact I thought it very good. Just my thoughts.
trust me if i had the money i'd have an indoor range lol.
Have you been able to take this rifle out anymore
no haven't got a chance to yet. hopefully get it to 450 this weekend weather permitting.
Thats cool. Ultimate Reloader just did a good review of this rifle a few minutes ago
I’m still torn between the two
yea it really is a toss up. i prefer the tikka but you may like the berg better.
The wolf ammo is just Eley match with a different label!
they're all probably the same thing just different price LOL
purchased same rifle last night, had to order a rail, that? i did not like, should come with one....
yea you'd think for that kind of money they'd throw you a bone. at least rails for 700s are a dime a dozen.
Verygood verygood i from พัทลุง
thanks for watching
The Bergara is to train you for the centerfire version.
yes but i use mine for prs/nrl. no where even close to me to shoot centerfire.
Thx
Thanks for watching!
I hate to say this but ... my $500 CZ455 does just as well. My Volquartzen is just slightly better than the CZ.
I have nothing bad to say about the 455 that is a good shooter no doubt. The 457 on the other hand is not they should have left it alone
@@coreyd1474 I've seen mixed reviews on the 457. Mine for example is great and averaged around .400 with both center-x and sk long range match during my ammo testing. It's been fun fighting the weather in Ohio to test ammo hasn't it?
I think you could have squeezed a few more ads in your video.
I dont controll ads in my videos RUclips does. But I'll see what I can do

good stuff, thanks man
pretty sure the t1x is next for me. Been very impressed by my TAC A1 and CTR
just wrestling between that, or gettin silly and just picking up a vudoo
So i've got a t1x and i've been really wrestling a vudoo as well but in the end i don't see it shooting 2000 dollars better than the tikka. sure you get to flex on instagram with it but its just not really worth 2500 to me. Sure if it was my only 22 i would probably or if your rona check is burning a hole in your pocket lol. i still like the tikka better than the bergara.
Not a hmr pro clone, its a regulat hmr clone.
its an exact match of the pro.
Pretty much every 22lr comes with a 10 round mag, the rounds are so cheap you will not go broke and 10 shots will actually tell you something.
i guess i should have consulted with you first, won't happen again. thanks for watching!
@@coreyd1474 🤣 there is an ammo shortage if you haven't noticed. 5 shot groups are just fine. Keep up the great work!

And my good fellow there in lies the quandary with 22lr ammo when max accuracy is your ultimate goal and why $12-$15 a 50 shoots the pants off 90% of lesser expense ammo
The dreaded flyer
Cheap 22lr ammo is NOT match ammo because the % of flyers is simply to great the reason legitimate match ammo costs 3-5× as much is quality control of the ammo
All lesser expensive match grade ammo is is match ammo that failed to meet that company's quality control standards to be thier top grade most expensive match grade ammo and is then down graded and sold as less costly lower quality match ammo.
You will NEVER shoot as well with budget 22lr ammo as well as you will the lagit match ammo that starts at $9-$10 a 50 and only goes up in cost (painfully) from there
I own two very accurate 22lr rifles best groups I EVER shot were in the 0.1's and 0.20's using $18 a 50 of RWS R50 and $15 a 50 of Eley Match.
