They might lower the ammo count on its backpack to put it at a better medium between the Recoilless and Spear though, since it's comparable to the Recoilless in its current form.
Bro, IF they don't nerf the QUASAR CANNON, I highly doubt they'll nerf this...and if anything, I think it's very balanced compared to RR, i mean, it's not good against Titans and Hulks, against Chargers you have to actually aim for its butt for the bombs to connect, and unlike the RR, you do NOT want to shoot at point blank like you can with RR. One-shotting tanks isn't really that big of a deal because tanks are very rare spawn, you'd typically see only like...1-2 of them every match, even in Helldive, and they only spawn from dropships too. This thing is great for clearing chaffs, but I wouldn't say it's the most optimal way, given the fact that there's a 6s stationary reload and only 6 rockets, it's a nice bonus but that's about it. I do not see it being a dedicated chaff-clear support weapon. You'd be better off clearing hordes with your primary weapon. Not to mention, enemies ain't always gonna be clumped up in on spot.

I don't think the Titan died after 3 shots in that footage, you'd be able to hear the Titan's death roar if it died, and the legs didn't even seem to collapse. Hell, its stomach bits didn't even burst.

putting one of these into the troop compartment of dropships seems like a great way to nullify it, as shooting them down often has some stragglers or stuck devastators inside the wreck that can shoot out and not be killed until the ship despawns
stratagem weapons that are useless against heavies are not a good look. Every "meta" support weapon has use cases against heavies. Making it not affect heavies would put it right next to the stalwart, which is only used by new guys because they arent facing heavies and dont have many other options. The needed backpack, the limited ammo, and the self/team damage, and the slow af reload do a good job balancing it against being very useful in many situations. If they needed to rein it in a little, Id say not allowing it to team reload would be a solid nerf while leaving it useful.

Actually, I still think support weapons that don’t penetrate heavy armor, like the stalwart, can still be useful in giving the people with heavy weapons time to reload and focus on the heavy enemies by shooting less armored targets. Even then, Some of those non heavy support weapons can still kill things like hulks and chargers really fast if they can shoot the weak spots with less armor. As for using them when you’re by yourself, like on a solo mission or when splitting up, then yeah they’re terrible.

Kinda wondering why it kills tanks so easy but not hulks. Also the fact it can’t take out dropships is a real bummer. Don’t know if it’ll replace my Autocannon, but it’ll be an interesting choice for heavy ad clear like devastators, stridors, tanks etc.
The top turret of the tank is less armored than the majority of the hulk. Also why rocket pods are a guranteed one shot against tanks but not any other heavy enemy.
i love the concept but it's way too powerfull. should be like 60% the damage of the RR for it's main rocket and like 33% the damage of the main rocket for the secondary explosives. Still useful for clearing hordes AND doing big damage, but not as powerful of a precise concentrated shot, even if hit precisely.
Would be insane to clear those 10 hole nests on Helldive, they can be brutally hard to establish a foothold sometimes. Something like this along with a napalm / cluster to just clear the area
You can try it out right now. Tried it out and it seems to have issues with jungle as can't fire though the leaves. It is good at team and self killing.
It’s most efficient when there’s already bunched of groups of enemies. If you get those situations where the enemy is coming at you in long spawning lines it’s not the best choice. Definitely looks strong and fun as hell tho

I don't think this will dethrone the Quasar since both have their use cases, this for clearing an area while the Quasar, RR and EAT are mostly for when you want to target something more specific, for example have someone with the cluster clearing chaff, a charger or two that hasn't noticed the team and such while the AT guy takes care of BTs, drop ships (and making useful cover in the process) or that one charger too close to you and/or team

I think they should add an option to manually detonate with the fire button. How cool would it be to shoot it up over a bot patrol and then rain down a mini cluster from the sky? As it is it's like a miniature strategem, and I think that's fair for having to run a backpack and having such slow reloads. Recoilless is still king at 1-shotting hulks and chargers to the face and quasar is still king at taking out dropships nests and fabricators with no ammo penalty. It should take 2 shots for tanks as well.

This isn't as good as it seems I think. It's much worse against armored targets (Recoilless rifle kills chargers with ease, spear deals with bile titans, and this weapon isn't as effectice against gunships as the spear or the recoilless rifle). It's also the equalivent of a suicide note if you shoot it up close (and believe me you will shoot it up close), it's useless if the enemy is within 20 meters of you. So to make it clear for you: Autocannon: mini 110mm rocket pods This gun: mini eagle airstrike Recoilless rifle: mini precision strike Spear: Handheld railcannon strike.

Instead of trying to hit the dropship engine directly, I’d reccomend trying to hit it dead center to see if you can at least clear out the bots in it.

That is wayy too Op for that tiny warhead. Plus the blast must be affected by the kinetic of the rocket, it makes no sense blasting backwards.
Looks great....also I feel like taking this in difficulty 7-9 is going to result in a lot of team kills
This isn't as good as it seems I think. It's much worse against armored targets (Recoilless rifle kills chargers with ease, spear deals with bile titans, and this weapon isn't as effectice against gunships as the spear or the recoilless rifle). It's also the equalivent of a suicide note if you shoot it up close (and believe me you will shoot it up close), it's useless if the enemy is within 20 meters of you.
So to make it clear for you:
Autocannon: mini 110mm rocket pods
This gun: mini eagle airstrike
Recoilless rifle: mini precision strike
Spear: Handheld railcannon strike.
Ok. As the current pattern is "releasing more and more powerfull weapons to keep the hype up", i'm gonna play again in one year when the beta test ends.
