the more I watch you the more I want to learn about your culture and move to Denmark or Scandinavia. Also, the dances looked so beautiful, the scenery was so mesmerizing and I really love watching your relationships with the people, you care for/love. The shots that were taken as well were so beautiful

Being a Scandinavian myself, making friends can be really difficult for many. I think Denmark was ranked number 1 as hardest country to make friends in a while back if I remember correctly. The other Scandinavian countries aren’t far behind. We are generally very polite though, just a bit timid. Some cultures might see this timidity as rude but that’s not how our culture sees it, just a difference. In order to make friends here as an outsider you will have to be prepared to take the first step and be the one initiating. Most likely they’ll respond well. Just don’t be too forward in an annoying way. Like it shouldn’t feel forced. Once they are comfortable with you, they will be much warmer. This advice is applicable for all Scandinavian countries. Good luck :)
🌼This looks like it’s was straight out of a movie, and I love it, everything was so calming and peaceful it made fall in love with this place and your positive energy, I felt so at peace and also in a way homesick wanting to leave in a peaceful town with my family for the rest of my life.

I just got back from Denmark, it was lovely! I visited Copenhagen as well as other places in Denmark (and Malmö, Sweden). Now I'm back in the Netherlands. I actually arrived in Denmark right before you went to Paris with Jake, hahaha. That's just how it is!

This might be the best video of yours I've watched to date, so nice seeing Fanø and all the lovely the people there, what a beautiful family and relationship you seem to have. No wonder why Danish people seem warm to Jake :) I felt a bit emotional around 16:00 not gonna lie. Just returned from a four-day trip to Copenhagen with my mom as well. The small moments with the ones we love are those that will visit you when look back, or when times get dark. Keep your loved ones close.

Actually, this was the most wholesome and anxiety fixer video therapy for me today…I live in Israel and there is a military operation at the moment with rocket attacks on most of the country…sirens and all. I've been slowly falling in love with Denmark and this vlog definitely added to my fascination of this beautiful country. Can't wait for the next vlogs! If you don't mind me asking, how easy do you think it would be for someone who doesn't speak the language to move there? (eg for studies)
Hi love! It’s extremely easy for someone who doesn’t speak Danish, everyone knows English very well and are more than happy to speak it 💚💚
It would be super easy moving here, although as many other places, I know from my expad friends that it is extremely hard to make danish friends.
Expads tend to hang out with expads.
I think it’s mostly because danes value long term relationships and are quite closed around their little circles.
Also Denmark is nice like 30 days a year. The rest of the time it’s cold, grey and rainy. Winter is especially tough, most years winter temperatures last like 5-6 months.

Thanks Sissel, because of this video I had a dream to travel to Denmark for my 4 year anniversary with boyfriend. 🙏 I showed him the video and he was so excited. We went for almost two weeks. Although we didn't make it to your island, we rented a car and crossed all over Zealand and Funen. I loved the country and this video will forever remain important in our hearts.

I feel jake, I also quit my Job coz it’s just getting too much for my mental health. I mean life is short to stay in some place that isn’t good for you anymore, so leave if you can, I understand that not anyone can just quit but do it if it’s possible, if you can’t now just look for the right timing, it will come. I have no idea what I’m gonna do right now but well, I’ll figure that out soon too hahaha btw I love watching your vlog, you can be doing just the most normal stuff but you captured it well, it’s not boring, I don’t know if I make sense hahhha and your sister is so cute!
