the voice actors are almost always great
those cgi cutscenes are fire
shadow's story is fire
Mephiles is one of the most favorite sonic villains in this franchise
Silver is one of the most favorite sonic characters
The gems idea is such a cool thing, p-06 really showed how great they could've been
Those level themes are good
Hub worlds give sonic games more lively feel, so they are a good addition
etc.
People can have nostalgia with this game. They maybe remember the style this game has, or how they messed around with the gems in 06. This game didn't have a time to be fully cooked, but that won't break someone's fun childhood memories with sonic 06.

Honestly seeing SA2 Sonic in ANY new layout warms my heart like nothing else. Everything from the way he moves to the design of his model was so perfect to me and I wish Modern Sonic looked half as good in Frontiers. I know people want the Sonic Utopia design and I certainly do myself, but even if they were to make a refined Adventure styled game, one that kept momentum sure, but had that high octane action with memorable set pieces like the first two games, I'd be content with that as well.

Sure, Shadow and 06 were garbage I'll give you that, but even those games had style and entertainment value (and memes). I was really deprived with all that horrible shit wasn't I? Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Heroes, Riders, Advance 1-3, the Rush games, those HORRIBLE Mega and Gems Collection anthologies, etc.
And what do you got? A broken Origins Collection, broken Colors Remaster, broken Racing game, a mid modern Classic game (and one good one), and a wannabe open world game that treats automated dash pad and rail grinding as "level design." Gee, it sounds like between the two of us, YOU made out pretty well didn't you? Sure

@@VGLounge although P06 is really cool it’s still not the original vision of Sonic 06. It’s just finally making it playable and visually more appealing. I’m sure the original idea intended to be played more like a Sonic adventure 3 in a way

I love Adventure 1 and Project 06, I absolutely hate Adventure 2, at least the Sonic stages.
The game is what we got it wasn't going to be different wake up to reality they just needed more time to remove bugs and fix animations but the story and gameplay was going to be the same@@DestinationCorporation
@@maryanneuduak7078 the story was perfectly fine but the gameplay would have absolutely been smoother and more enjoyable. Same with how slow the game was. I’m sure with another 6 months to a year they would have a better feel to it. I loved the characters and story. Even the princess kissing sonic was weird but as a kid it never crossed my mind.
Suddenly the game became 100x better with SA2's movement engine.
And a 100x times uglier with SA2's Sonic model and running animation.

@@genyakozlov1316 Sonic's shoes in SA2 are fire as opposed to the blend red pointy shoes with one strap. And his SA2 running animation looks believable and more realistic as opposed to his newer, boring running animation where his upper body stays completely still while his feet are the only thing moving.

If Sonic 06 was anything like this, it would be one of the best of all time
The mach speed section looks like it controls terribly with how far the camera is jerked left and right.
Coupled with how twitchy Sonic is in SA2.
And the pop-in makes it so you are screwed unless you know exactly what is coming.
I think my problem with modern Sonic games is that Sonic ‘06 (besides Werehog stages in Unleashed but a lot of people don’t like those) was the last game before they switched to corridor platform level design. It doesn’t feel like there’s any more freedom to run around a map aside from moving in a straight line with some turns. I could be wrong about when they stopped giving that freedom of exploration in levels, though. Cyberspace stages give you more freedom than other games after ‘06, but not as much as they used to

We've never seen movement done as well as SA2 since and I will die on this hill. It felt right, everything after feels too slow and floaty. It wasn't about being realistic, it was just *fun*.

They tried that with the HD versions of Unleashed but no one was happy about that dlc.

Mach speed in Adventure 2’s engine feels cursed… But so right…
Anything on Adventure 2's engine feels cursed. Sonic takes so long to turn in the air that it feels impossible to make a precise landing and his running animation looks like a glitch.

A lot of people slam this game, but I always really enjoyed the Mach speed sections
I still firmly believe that if they just borrowed SA2 or even SA1's gameplay engine and kept 06's graphics and story people would've been perfectly satisfied with that as Sonic Adventure 3.
Story is awful regardless, it reads like a first rough draft. Get rid of the weird unneeded romance, at the very least. But the rest and add a Chao garden then sure

@@Eric_Cartman1Have you even played Forces? Even if you did, unless you collected every Red Ring and Moon medal you don't really understand how intricate the level design is. Getting to the end of the game doesn't mean you understood it.
City Escape, Metal Harbour, and Green Forest are literally straight lines. Even in the first level 06 gives you multiple paths. 06 has infinitely superior level design.
