I like the overall concept of ranking them by what you think they're worth. Makes one consider what's really worth chasing. Would like to try this with some friends soon.

I've been on the bourbon journey for 3 yrs now . A couple of hundred bottles now . I refuse to pay anything but retail. Rare Breed is my go to now because it is so well rounded and affordable.
Great content- and it reinforces what I’ve thought for years - plenty of great stuff out there that won’t break the bank. I haven’t bought many things over $100, and only one of them was worth it in the end. Cheers friends!
You and David are right there with Brewzle and Jill for me in the pantheon of YT whiskey couples. Keep up the amazing work guys.
I like this concept, and the lower priced ones you picked all punch above their weight class. At the other end of the spectrum, I think the purple tops vary a lot. Two of the best whiskeys I’ve ever tasted were purple tops-one at Whiskey Weekend Batch 5, one on a Willett tour-but I’ve had one that was meh as well. And for that reason it’s really hard to buy one at the $$$ price tag.
Love the concept and would like to see more videos like this. And I agree. I've yet to find a Willett that I like. Cheers y'all 🥃

Good concept for the video. The value aspect is getting the attention it deserves.
Having a local whiskey bar with fair prices has saved me a few times. That Willet would have been a buy for me until I tried it. First sip, I was glad I hadn't found a bottle for sale.

Love their Cigar blend. They allowed us to take bottles to distribute to our patreon community when we did our barrel pick with them. It’s so good!
Blue Note is fantastic. Every time I see a BP pick I grab one.

Would have been good to put the bottles in "value" order at the end. Makes me glad that I'm not chasing a purple top. I really like Blue Note Juke Joint; think it's a great value; ditto on WT Rare Breed. Just opened an Elijah Craig BP C923 and shared with folks at my go-to liqour store ...everyone loved it. It's simply fantastic! Looking forward to opening one of my Stagg 23As for Xmas.

It's funny that you said $200 for ECBP. I saw it at the store the other day and they priced it at $199!! The last one I picked up was $ 75

Wow I think we’ve been spoiled in the old days when they would drop Blantons to our abc store for $65. I don’t think we will ever buy it again. With the allocation process for abc stores changing we don’t get it anymore. Glad you love it. Cheers🥃

But the way you edited today's video going back and forth between the results and the beginning samples just made it super confusing and hard to watch.
Just a little insight from a daily watcher of your channel.
Other than that love what you guys do keep up the good work.
Yeah it’s the first time we did this type of video and still learning how to present it. After watching me go through each pour, then reveal the value, then reveal the bottles we felt it dragged on to much and would loose interest. Appreciate your feedback, this helps for next time! Cheers☺️🥃

Blue note cask strength single barrels are so hit and miss. I got one that just had Texas sticker on it and it was just a hot mess. Practically was a drain pour.

Yeah this was the first time we did something like this. I tried to keep the tasting with my value guess, together then have a reveal at the end. Thanks for the feedback and taking the time to watch.
Anything MGP or sourced will be more expensive than NON sourced. According the economic journals,, the bourbon BOOM is over.. and the bubble or day of 1,000$ Pappy is on its way out. Bourbone giant Jack Daneils for instance is reporting to share holders a decline year over year.. I am also noticing the more highly priced bottles sitting on the shelves.. that use to get snapped up.. are now collecting dust.
I laughed at the liquor store guy today when he offered me a great deal on Wild Turkey Generations for a mere 850.
