Oh how I LOVE LOVE LOVE our hose links! They are AMAZING for sure! We currently have 3 and are buying 2 more along with we want to install a few of the new solar lights. Thank you for showing how easy they are to install because they are truly SO easy and I would never be without one now.

Great idea to install it to a pipe in the ground. That's super easy! I have wanted a hoselink but didn't want to drill into my siding.

That’s such a quick install. Keep us updated how it holds up on that pole. My Hoselink is still sitting in its box because I don’t want to dig a hole and concrete it in. So if this holds up, that would be awesome!
It will hold up great! I had it installed like this for about 2 yrs on the other side of my house before I moved it. Same for my parents, going on 2 years. No concrete. I try to avoid that too! 💜
Great info! I’ll get my pipe this week and get ‘er set up.
This is the third season for mine and it is doing great. I store in the shed over the winter and after each use I use a rag to wipe down the hose as to not get debris in the housing.
I also have a hoselink, and it's just fabulous!
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis (really bad) and one of the best features of hoselink is that it's made to have the water stay "ON".
Which means I don't have to wrestle with turning the faucet on & off anymore!!

It can be rough, no matter which kind of arthritis it is.
Keeping a good attitude is tough too, but it really is VERY important through the whole journey. You may get discouraged, and that's ok, just don't STAY discouraged.
My best advice beyond that is to try all the herbal "tricks". Many actually DO help quite a bit if you give them a good chance.
They may not cure it, but they do help, and you'll only be more healthy for consuming them.
That and just learning how to do things differently.
Hoselink is a step in the right direction too!
I've especially liked the swivel piece which attaches between the sprinkler and the end of the hose.
With that attachment, I don't have to fight the hose memory, which is quite tight (imo).
It truly is a game changer!
Oh my, I so wish I had a hose link. I’m sure I could install it myself. I’m 76 and have a 100 ft. hose that I pull around my yard. It is in a hose reel box and that is easier than than just a holder. I do not do instagram. Thank you for a great tutorial. I have followed you for a few years now.

I’m a shower Girl myself, have a Hose link since 2020 , the nozzle that came with it sprung a leak this year and I had to replace it , it didn’t last very long . I garden in Western Massachusetts

Our hoselink is arriving tomorrow. I am so excited. This video is exactly what I needed for easy install. I’m curious what diameter and length auger did you use to drill the hole. Mine are only 2”x7” and 3”x7” which prob won’t get me the hole I need. Thanks!
I just got one. I did put mine in concrete since it gets a good pull on it anyway. Each time i use it , the more i like. At first i thought it was a little hard to pull out. I'm a little unsteady on my legs, but when i get to a certain point, i can sit down and just use my upper body strength which is stronger than my lower body. The best feature for me us the rewind. That is so easy for me.
Is the heavy when you’re moving around the garden? I have balance issues and trip over the rubber hose every time I need to pull it to the side or move it from the beds. I want a hose link but nervous that it’ll be the same issue for me at 5x the price lol
It's mainly pulling it out. But then i don't think it is too bad pulling around. The wind up is amazing!

Hi Laura. Wondering what yr thoughts are on a couple of items. One is the jardin bird cage do u take it in in the winter like they recommend. I purchased one and I’m not really happy with the quality. How’s it holding up for you. Second is the plow and hearth white benches how are those holding up for you? Do you find the white color hard to clean or keep white? My house is white but I’m leaning towards the black, mainly fear of soil stains.

Hi! I have a hose link and want to install it the way you showed us. I’ve been to a few stores and don’t see the emy conduit in 1inch as short as yours. Did you have to get yours cut? I’m only finding they have the 1 inch in 10ft lengths or was yours the galvanized pipes in the plumbing area that has threads on both ends? Thanks for you help ! I’ve wanted a hose link for a while but don’t own my home yet and this video gave me the green light to make the purchase!!!!! ❤️☺️
Hi!! You may need to cut it. This wasn’t the threaded pipe, definitely a conduit. I think our Lowes allowed my husband to cut a length right in the store, I’d have to check on that. But it definitely was shortened. I know you will absolutely love the Hoselink! 💜
I just got and installed my first hose link. I love it, but my backyard is over 240’ deep. The hose is only 100’. Needless to say. I have to add more hose to get to the back of my yard.
We put in several hose links around the gardens as our property is large also.
Did you consider mounting the hose reel directly to the stucco wall of the house (instead of the in-ground pole mount), or do you feel like that would put too much stress on the stucco?
I would never. Our house is 100 yrs old and this particular stucco (pebble dash) is incredibly hard to find a person to fix it since it’s not done this way today. I had a crack that led to a giant piece falling and the repair was so expensive. I don’t know if newer stucco would be more sound today, but I wouldn’t personally do it.

Yes. I just put up a video yesterday as a matter of fact, installing one into my home with vinyl siding. 😀

Great question! Any one! I have a particular sprayer I like for certain things and I swap them out easily.

Mine does. It is a litt little frustrating !
Not unless it got caught up on something else while I’m pulling it. Sometimes when it’s reeling back up, it does going back in.

Hi Laura-is there any way you can share a link to the pipe you bought? I can’t seem to find a 1” on the Home Depot or Lowe’s website. I see a 3/4”, but if I go 1” the price goes crazy and so does the height. It looks like yours is not that tall.

@@HowsItGrowing finally made the purchase to get a hoselink. I have a brick house so mounting it on the brick isn’t really an option as it isn’t a smooth surface. I’m excited to try the steel pole mount. Can’t seem to find that in our box stores. Where did you find yours and what was it called? How goes it hold up without cement. I like that idea as well….. thank you for all your great content!

pole is too narrow to support all that weight over time it will be rocking around as you extend and retract hose
Been fine for 2 years here. And fine for 4 years at my parents installed the exact way.

I definitely don’t think it’s pretty. 😂 But, sometimes functionality wins. There’s a good reason I have them tucked into corners and behind fences and not a “feature” But as for function, I love it! 💜
@@HowsItGrowingWe don't mind them at all...much better than a hose laying around or rolled up. The charcoal ones we bought seem to disappear in our landscape. Total game changer, so easy to use. LOVE them!
