- Hi garden friends! I'm Laura. My garden is my home "office" I've worked hard to create a productive small suburban sized garden for my family, wildlife, and pollinators to enjoy. I garden in Southern New Jersey zone 7b - 8, just about 10 minute drive from Philadelphia. I hope this video inspires you!

Everything is so beautiful Laura! My garden has suffered so many setbacks this season, so I’m praying for the cooler weather in Fall when I can replace the many plants I have lost. It was so beautiful this Spring, so I’m hopeful we can get there again. You keep me inspired, thank you my friend.
I just love your yard. It’s so pretty and inviting and your way of being in it makes me want to visit! Thank you for the picket garden tour, lovely! 🇨🇦👏🌸
Fence plants look terrific! Your gardens are thriving…all lovely!
Thank you! I’m really happy, especially with the lack of rain and extreme heat.

친구님 안녕하세요.🤗아름다운 정원 보면서 마음이 편안해지는 시간이었어요. 정말 감사합니다..💞
Pergola is a great idea. I like the contrast of the natural wood against the white and green. Looks rich. The phlox looks like coral creme drop. I have several and I just love them. Phlox Nicky is also gorgeous.
Profusion Double White Zinnas...!! Garden looks amazing, Laura! 😊
Everything good amazing. The picket fence garden is so charming. I agree with you this heat is too much
I like that you incorporated your gravel driveway area and you have done a gorgeous job in blending this area into the rest of your garden. Love your channel
Not hot for me by the Sea 🌊 🙂 Northern California. Your garden looks beautiful 💚🌿
Enjoy
Thank you! Oh you are so lucky! I’ll take that beautiful climate! 😃😃
Mark does wonderful work!
Everything is so beautiful! I’m in zone 9B, it’s 113 today and my entire garden is burning up!
Wow what can I say it so beautiful.
I love your home and how you styled it.
Thank you very much!!!
@HowsItGrowing as I was writing this message, it went to your video. I'll try again. I love your garden and how it's coming along. Also, your shed is precious and will be more so with the eyebrow perhola.
I loved the little tour of your wonderful garden. The slugs got to town on my dahlias (acutally all my plants). But the first ones started blooming anyway. I´m so happy! Have a nice weekend.
Thanks for the nice comments! So sorry about the slugs, but I’m happy they are blooming. It always feels good to see a plant flower after it’s been beaten up by a pest. 💜
I have had a tough year in the garden- specifically in my vegetable garden. It's pretty disappointing as like you, my happy place is my yard. This video helped me put things in perspective and really was a mood lifter. Thanks:)
I’m so glad this helped! It can be deflating but, there’s always another opportunity to try again. I have so many things bugging me in the garden right now. 🤣 thank you for watching!
Beautiful garden 🪴👒🪴
Love your garden ❤❤❤
BEAUTIFUL ❤ Thanks for the tour!
Love your shed project! Do you remember the color green you used to paint the door? It’s a perfect color and complements the garden so well. Great job you two!
Your video beautifully captures the progress and growth in the Picket Garden two months later. The dedication and care you've put into nurturing the garden are evident, creating a thriving and inspiring oasis of greenery.
And I am Floating Village Life
Your garden is one of the most beautiful and stunning Laura😊😍❤️
I really appreciate it. Thank you! 😃😃
Beautiful 🌼🐝
I use the same copper plant labels in my garden. Being quite a bit older than you, I know that some day there will be a new family in our home. I want for them to be able to know the plants and bulb placement. Hopefully they will love gardening as much as I do. Meanwhile I am going to garden for as long as I can. - stress therapy. Your garden remains my dream garden. ❣
Your garden has really changed so much since I started watching your videos. Always such a fun process to see. It really looks so lovely! Your paver pathway looks like it was always meant to be there. Looks great and would feel good in bare feet!! Looking forward to seeing your Floret zinnias. I planted Victorian Wedding, it’s covered in buds and my first bloom has started to open today. Enjoy your garden!!
Hi Laura!! Okay can I just come hang out in your garden?! What a beautiful space it has grown and changed to be…I have been watching since day 1 on RUclips and I have seen it all evolve…I’m sorry I don’t always comment but I’m here watching and rewatching too…Just beautiful and elegant…I so don’t have the same type of climate but I love watching your videos to learn and have fun…I found the trellis on Home Depot as you said and ordered one, thank you again 💚.
Everything is looking beautiful!!
Laura, I so admired your agapanthus that I searched them out in my local nurseries and found one that ordered some in for me. They are my favorite flowers and definitely work horses. I live in Michigan, so I'm not sure they would winter over, so planning to store them.
Very nice !! Love your channel and also your voice !! Not sure if it’s a Jersey accent ? What a transformation in your garden ! I love how you always change things up !
Thanks so much!! 😃 you nailed it. South Jersey! I appreciate you watching!!
The garden is looking beautiful😊😊😊
I love your garden everything looks beautiful!
Enjoyed!
Gorgeous! Your and your husband ‘s work paid off big time!🥰🌸🇨🇦I love your humour, especially when a plant doesn’t work out. We sometimes get so serious about it that takes the joy out of gardening! I was wondering why my dahlias are taking so long. Thanks for sharing your experience. (Zone 5)
This is so nice! Thank you! It’s so helpful to hear others experiencing the same things, regarding the dahlias. They take FOREVER. 😂 you are not alone.
Love that pergola, hubby did a good job. Can I borrow him??? lol!
🤣🤣 maybe! I’ll ask. lol.
Love live the Bunnies 🐰
Hi Laura, your garden is absolutely gorgeous!
I was wondering where you got your arch from it’s very pretty. Thank you for all your hard work and sharing it with us;-)
Thank you so much for the nice message and for watching Debra! It is from Deerpark Ironworks. I ordered it online. Very easy to build, took 10 min to setup.
love the pergola idea! beautiful garden! hydrangeas have done so good this year! Cant wait to see the Dahlias along the picket fence. I love that cone planter hanging basket thing! Ive said this before i love your style. What is up with the Zinnias this year, mine where later to bloom too and they are so much shorter this year than normal. Everything looks great!
Looks great!
How is the front yard looking this year? Would enjoy seeing it. I do think your heart is with all your changes this year. Than you.
❤❤❤❤❤
What hydrangeas are behind the bobo’s. Love your stepping stones. Oh that pergola is going to be awesome.
Those are invincibelle Limetta! Love them!! Thank you! 💜
Hi Laura I love your garden it looks so beautiful, I have a question, where did you get the white fence in backyard.
Thank you so much! We had the fence installed, but you can get those exact panels from Lowes.
😂"slippy" are you from SWPennsylvania? love your picket garden!
🤣🤣 I didn’t even realize that was a thing. That’s funny. Thank you for watching I appreciate it! 💜
Everything is so beautiful. Just love your style. Where did you get that circular type trellis that the sweet peas are growing on? 24:24 on the video.
Thanks so much!! I got that from Plow & Hearth a few years ago. It was called the “pot trellis” I don’t think they carry it still. I’ve been searching high and low for another one. If I find one, I’ll share on here!!
@@HowsItGrowingThank you!!
Beautiful! Could I know the reason why you have a little pot on your garden stake?
Thank you! Just decoration for me. Several years ago I saw it on Gardeners World and copied the style. Monty Don used it to hold up bird netting. It can be used on shorter stakes so you don’t poke your eye while gardening. And some use it to catch earwigs. You’d fill with shredded paper or straw, they crawl inside and you dispose of them.
@@HowsItGrowingI need to the earwigs that are eating my dahlia leaves. I will give that method a try. 🥰🌸🇨🇦
What is the vine growing on the grid on the white fence?
That’s a native honeysuckle, major wheeler. It would bloom more if not for the canopy of tree above. But I love the look of the vines too.
@@HowsItGrowing thank you
It’s beautiful
