  • Our unboxing and color review of PlaidFX's new flexible color acrylic kit line! I always like using flexible paints for cosplay projects whenever possible to avoid cracking, like with the mini lace-painting project included at the end of this review.

What a great suggestion! I have seen these paints in store and was wondering how good they would be. Thanks for the video! Love your wig styling book ❤️

Have you tried these FX paints on rubber ? I plan on using it on a collectible figure

I have not, but in general acrylic paint does not adhere well to rubber unfortunately - you may find that portions flake off under stress anyway.

I'm curious on if you can mix their paint types...
I wanted to use both their metallic and neon paints, but mixed together to give it like a glow in the dark metallic look.

How did that work out? It's been a year, figure you've tried it by now.

@@itsagundam79 Actually worked out extremely well. Mixing their White and black metalic paints with a light blue neon paint made a light blueish metalic color. exactly what I was aiming for.
It did take a few tries to get the exact color I wanted though. I tested it out on some paper first before applying it to the practice kendo swords I had for my cosplay

    is it waterproof???

It's about as waterproof as any other acrylic paint! Fine in the rain, but if you plan on getting it wet a lot you'll want to put a flexible sealer on top.
