Can't imagine a more complex body repair job on a RRC than this! That interior strip-down is insane, I myself wouldn't have a chance. Very impressive work, this. Good luck going forwards!
Next episode, please! Cheers.
Hello Richard thank you for showing what you can achieve with about 500% more patience than i ever had and that in cold weather chapeau
Richard. You are a LR "WIZARD" Thanks. See you in the next one. Cheers 🥃🥃 👍👍
Great work Richard. Really good to restore / preserve this RR!
Great inspirational stuff, Richard. Funny how they rot in different places along with some of the usual suspects.
Oh,my! The joy of rust! I probably need too take my wings off i think.... Bugger! Well now i know what to expect! Keep the good work up!
brave trousers fitted, lift up the carpets and you can often see the front tyres!!
My god you are certainly a brave man hacking out all that metal work.
Trouble is that what you think could be a sound vehicle could be an absolute rust bucket.
Must be an absolute nightmare ripping out all the electrics and dash to gain access to the bits you want to cut and weld.
Keep up the good work and I look forward to the next offering.👍
Excellent video very interesting. Kept thinking this was your "better man than I, gunga din" moment. Keep up the good work, post much appreciated.
Keep up the good work Richard
Superb Richard
I don't know how you do it. Richard, great work
only one way to eat an elephant, one bite at the time
Had two softdashes,,both bulkheads shot! Bit of a combo I’d say .That later bulkhead sound deadening trapping moisture, reduction in gauge or quality or metal used and or lack of primer/paint in that bulkhead area .Either way, these do seem to be a bit worserer than the hard dash.go Richard :) joy to watch as usual, cheers Warick
Agree with all of that but don't forget the windscreen header rail also likes to rust out on the soft dash, adding to the moisture content😂
definitely lacking paint on lots of the surfaces
A comment for the algorithm 😃
I admire this chum for his tenacity but his workshop is horrendous for me !
now you hurt my feelings, spent all week tidying up
Fantastic Channel Richard.
Thank you kindly
Check, check and check
measure 15 times, trial fit 3 times before welding
Open cell foam is the devil. I pulled all mine and replaced with closed cell neoprene.
Did you lift the bonnet off by yourself?!? I did mine alone it nearly wrecked me!
you need very long arms or someone to help, easier to remove the exposed hinge bonnets on your own.
I always love the show helps me with the 2 classic range rovers ive got. I have a question can I put a p6 heads on a 1988 classic so it will breath better
P6 heads have smaller valves, anything post 1976 from a Rover SD1 V8 are a useful upgrade to an early engine. Drop me an email if you need more information
Do you have shares in rust ?, or sheet metal and rust converter.🤑🤑🤑😬😬
I think your biggest problem is you do the job properly, you could fix it easily with seam sealer, fiberglass and P38.
screwed up copy of one of the red top tabloids wrapped up in chicken wire, mix grinding sparks in with the filler and bish bosh
Is the hard dash blower unit in the same location?
no, the hard dash heater unit blower is located in the heater unit itself. The aircon blowers are located in the passenger footwell
Thanks for reply. I’ll have to get stuck I .
