i think you missed the last bit off the warning- "mind your own business!"🤣
Its always hepful not throwing away old parts they might be useful one day☺
i just need a warehouse with racking and some sort of index system to store everything
Hi Richard
When you fit the larger twin leading front brakes to a short wheelbase Land Rover you need to fit the larger original front wheel cylinders to the rear brakes. This is what Land Rover did when they uprated the brakes on later series 3 short wheelbase Land Rovers.
Keep up the good work as your videos are excellent
Correct my friend..
I was told this around 30 years ago by Richafd Bass..Now sadly gone..
Absolutely correct. Also the master cylinder needs changing to a larger bore. The later 88s and all 109s had 11" TLS fronts with rear 10" with larger bore wheel cylinders and larger bore master so just go off the numbers in the parts book.
Top work chaps, I was working from what was on the s3 axle that I am using on the car. appears that it was done wrong. Parts manual adhered to now
There is a 1/4” difference in front and rear SLS cylinders. 1.25 and 1.5” if I remember correctly., and I think the larger type were front for 88” and rear for 109.
I am running by what is listed for post June 1980 now. Appears that the s3 axle donor was set up wrong. There is a lesson there to not trust the work done by another ham fisted gibbon
It's been an axle too long mate !!
😂 You've been watching too much Salvage Rebuilds...Chris 😅
