To see Father & Daughter working side by side In Alaska of all places is great. You don't find a family bond much like that anymore. Good for you guys.
A giant grizzle bear is too close if WITHIN 100 yards of a camp or homestead. They can travel 20 miles a day easily. A thought,, if you don't live or know personally, PLEASE PLEASE don't tell others not to HUNT them. A BLACK bear recently KILLED and partly ate a woman in her own home!! No B S , in COL. ..

I agree, in fact they should open bear hunting back up in the lower 48, the population is really booming and they have no fear of humans! We are getting Grizzlies coming out of Canada too because they are getting over populated there.

In BC it's illegal to shoot any animal in the water when hunting.
There is a distinct difference between swimming and in the water.. This was a legal kill anywhere.

Predator management is scientific and just as important as managing all other species of wildlife. Do you like seeing deer fawns, elk and moose calves? Guess who eats them? That cute bear.

@bastardo1418 I agree but I was just commenting on the 45-70. I have never heard of or seen a Double Rifle made in the 45-70 cartridge. They are usually chambered in the classics, 375 H&H, 416,450,500 ect.ect.

I don’t see a problem bear if you have to go after it on a boat away from your residence. He was feeding on a moose carcass, not your garbage or livestock.

Just before shooting the supposed Problem Bear? You guys went to the Chiefs Well and drank his enriched water. Then, you hunted all day. Couldn't find the bear. So, you shot another and named it the" Problem Bear 🐻" . That's the original I saw

Back in the 1960's there was chatter in outdoor magazines about bears getting way too aggressive in areas where hunting was stopped. As now back then the idea of harassing bears to put fear back into them came up. Don't recall if that was tried or not. Rifle launched grenades seem like a viable choice for harassment.
