Check out our other video on how to adjust stand mixer! great alternative! ruclips.net/video/wqTVi9y4eOA/видео.html Always remember to press down on the screwdriver as you turn. The use of pliers to help turn screw can help. W40 overnight or heating the screw can help
I cannot thank you enough for this! Why they don't put this critical info in the users manual is an issue itself. My Cuisinart went from being useless to a key tool in my kitchen. It took a full 1-1/4 turns to get it calibrated properly. It was a tight twist, but rather than a second tool, I used both hands and firmly twisted with the wrist. Thank you again and please keep these informative videos coming!
Same here!!!!! ❤❤
Must have to be Superman to move that screw, I didn't want to strip the screw but the screw was so tight i broke my drill bits in the process. I then went on reading comments and noticed one of you were suggesting removing the bottom plate so I did. I added some washers leveled the plate and it worked perfectly! So simple and no damage.
For Cuisinart users who have thr attachment too high/bowl too low: I tried for days to get that screw to turn but I ended up just stripping it. Eventually I realized there is a metal plate the bowl screws into on the bottom. Taking that off and placing small strips of paper stack up inside and screwing the plate back on solved my problems instantly and was much easier and faster.
Does KitcheneAid have have the same problem?
@@mitchelllevine2023 I'm sorry, bud. I wouldn't know
Thank you so much👍👍👍👍
You're a genius!
@mitchelllevine2023 yeah it does but the screw is easier to turn way easier
I tried everything to turn the screw clockwise, but it wouldn't budge. Then, I turned it counterclockwise and it was surprisingly easy. So, the screw was already turned all the way in, but there was still a gap! I unscrewed the bowl plate, placed 3 nickels with double-sided tape in there, screwed back the plate, and that did the trick.
Good to know, thanks. On Amazon people were saying there is no way to adjust the height. But I'm glad I've found your video.
My goodness thank you 🙏. I just purchased my new Cuisinart Mixer and used it for the first time. After unsuccessful results I went to o the Cuisinart reviews and discovered this video on how to adjust it. My husband watched your video and now my mixer has been adjusted perfectly. Thanks so much 😃
Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks so much.
OMG this is fantastic! Found this video sifting through Amazon reviews. Now I'm subbing your channel! so many goodies!
Thanks so much for doing this you are a lifesaver!
I am so glad you made this video, thank you!!!!
Thank you so much !! I was becoming frustrated by this problem . Now I'm a happy camper ! :)
This was very helpful. Thank you.
Great video! You saved Christmas baking 😁
We couldn't get the screw to budge either. Thanks for the idea to remove the plate below the bowl. Easily removed that plate, added washers & working great! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this, fixed my dough hook problem instantly!
awesome 👍😊
With the amount of money we pay for these mixers we shouldn't have to struggle to make these adjustments. The manufacturers should make adjusting the bowl an easy fix.
Thank you very much! Well done.
I was super excited to find this video - thank you!!! I tried doing this today, but I can't get the screw to turn, in either direction. The screwdriver I used fit fine in the space, so that wasn't the issue. I tried some 3-in-1 oil to see if it just needed to be lubricated and that didn't work, either. Any tips you (or anyone else) could offer would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!!!!!
Thank You for making this video. This past November, I bought myself my very first KitchenAid Tilt Head Stand Mixer which happens to be a Deluxe 4.5 quart model.
I tried to make meringues one time but the whisk wasn’t reaching the bottom of the bowl and so I did this method and it solved the problem.
Again, Thank You for making this troubleshooting video for KitchenAid and Cuisinart stand mixers!
Is it so that the problem exists with both Kitch Aid and Quisinart stand mixer?
Thank you for this video! I was frustrated with my new Cuisinart because it couldn't even wisk eggs properly. I followed your advice and it works very well now.
Wonderful!👍😊❤
Yeah, I couldn't get that screw to budge but quarters under the plate the bowl locks into worked like a champ
Great video. Love to see how to lubricate this machine - oven clean the motor area
Useful video!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!😘😘😘
That’s a great tip.
I thinking about buy the Kitchenaid, but the Cuisinart is half the price, and seams to do the same.
I just looking the videos about this two brands and I think the price difference is more about the looking then the cooking. I will buy the Cuisinart. Thanks for the video!
Excellent instructions
Glad you think so!❤👍😊
Just got my Cuisinart stand mixer and did this adjustment right away. Really easy if you’re using a ratchet with an extension. Very little effort to turn. Only needed to turn 3/4 of the way and it’s perfect. Thanks!
I've read that the adjustment screw has been seated with lock tight making it difficult to turn. This was not the case with the ratchet? Other people have stripped the flat head screw.
@@wanderingaloudwithmark3057 was not hard at all to turn.
Mine really hard to turn😭
@@wanderingaloudwithmark3057 - I am not able to turn the screw clockwise to lower the wisk. How do you use a ratchet to turn a screw? I am losing patients with this "fix". I'd love to hear from other uses that have been successful.
@@mitchelllevine2023 a 1/4 ratchet with a 1/4 flat head bit, if 1/4 isn't long enough try 3/8. This can be bought at any hardware store, the idea it to use one hand to keep pressure on top of the screw and turn it which way you desire with the other (on/off).
Thank you so much!
your welcome!
good video. Worked perfectly. New mixer was a little high. I used a little water instead of a dime to judge the depth.
Nice. Great tip
Thank you for this video. I just purchased a Cuisinart Stand Mixer, so I haven't used it yet. It's good information though, if I ever need to make an adjustment.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you 💗☺️!
You’re welcome 😊
Gracias por la información!!!!
de nada. 😊👍
Thank you !
You're welcome!
I like this video I have a progress stand mixer but the beaters don’t reach the bottom of the bowl can I use this video for lowering my stand mixer?
Thank you for the video it was very helpful. I wanted to ask how to stop my cuisinart wobbly head?
Thank you
You're welcome
Thanks for the video… I adjusted down until the screw was getting too tight. I’ll probably need to adjust the base as others have mentioned in the comments.
Thank u
your welcome 😊👍
Nice video can this method be bone on a Progress EK3593P?
Well, after a bit of frustration I got it adjusted. The first step was to heat the screw with a blow dryer, then I used vise grips on my stubby screw driver and it moved! As it moved some sticky red stuff came out. I assume this is meant to hold the screw firmly (locktite?).
awesome! great tip! 💪😊👍❤
Tried this today and I could not get the screw to budge, even with a ratchet screwdriver. I'm worrying about the slot starting to get stripped. So, instead I tried approaching it another way. Rather than lower the head, I decided to lift the bowl. I removed the metal plate that holds the bowl, put three quarters below it (one in between each screw), and then put the plate back on. It helped. By my calculation, if I tape together a quarter and a nickel it should raise the height so that whisk attachment will scrape a dime in the bowl. The pressure from the plate seems to hold the coins in place.
Awesome Tip!! 🧠 Beats 💪 Thanks for sharing. 😁
@@StatUpBox So taping together a nickel and a quarter got it from my factory setting down to a dime level with the whisk attachment. However, it is still a good 3/4 inch from the bottom with the dough hook. Of course, raising the platter will give you more leeway to lower the tilt head, if you can can get the screw to budge!
Nice! Have you tried something like W40 overnight?
@@StatUpBox TRY HEATING THE SCREW, THATS WHAT YOU DO TO RELEASE LOCKTITE
Worked like a charm. Thank you for posting that. I added some metal washers till the plate was perfectly level. Don't use paper though cause it will degrade.
wondering if anyone knows where to get a scraper paddle attachment for the cuisinart mixer??
Thank you for the video, I hope this will solve my mixer problem because it doesn't cream at all
Same I was so frustrated creaming butter and sugar for simple cookies hope this works.
cual de las dos es la mejor??? por qué la misma empresa saca dos batidoras...? Por qué no viene de unas vez graduada para no tener ese inconveniente con la cuisinart...hay que bajarla para que pueda llegar a la base del bool...
I’ve tried to turn the screw clockwise, but it won’t budge. Any suggestions? I don’t want to tear up the screw head trying to turn it, but I would really like to lower my blades. Would WD 40 help?
Using some pliers and screw driver is what did the trick for us, or if you are able to get ratchet with a screw tip. You have to pressure down the screw ( so you wont strip the screw) and turn with force . It appears that it has some thread locker ( if you see on the video the red thing that comes out from around the screw) . Once loose , its easy to turn at any moment, but yes the first turn is the hardest. It wont hurt to use w40 and maybe letting it set in for for a couple of minutes as well. good luck.
Thanks for sharing this important information! Cuisinart is shortsighted for not including this in the instructions.
Our pleasure!
Thank you so much! The company hotline said “this is not an issue” - ie put eggs in the bowl and the whisk doesn’t even touch them. All fixed now!
Awesome 😊👍
I think there is a difference with the colors and it’s ease of adjustment. I have both the white and the silver one and the white one was super easy to adjust but the silver one no matter how much I tried it wouldn’t turn
My mixer head won't lock/stay up when I lift it,how can I fix it?
Do you adjust the paddle using a dime as well? but if you do this the whisk will touch the bowl because it’s longer and why is it bad for the whisk to touch the bowl? when you whisk something by hand you touch the bowl, what’s the big deal?
Couldn’t get screw to turn in either direction so I removed the bottom plate I raised it until the screws no longer would reach
Mine won’t budge. Even with the channel locks trick. Won’t budge.
I can not get the screw to budge on mine. It is super tight! Suggestions?
try w40 overnight. good luck
What kind of jerk puts red lock-tite on an adjusting screw? Not KitchenAid.
There's a guy that sells something called an everdime for tilted kitchen AIDS to keep it from coming out of adjustment. www.mrmixer.store/store/p/everdime
I know. I turned my Kitchenaid no problem, and I have weak hands.
Tried to turn it tonight, used a little WD and it turned a tad I think but going to try to keep it under oil overnight and see what happens...
great idea! yes, the hardest part is to break it the first time. after that initial break and from there on will be piece of cake.👍💪 good luck!
@@StatUpBox I think there is locktite on the screw.
voltage?
Hi StatUpBox! thanks for the video, it was very useful! ... I would like to ask you how we can solve the fact that when using the dough hook, the dough starts to rise on the hook up? It happens to me with some doughs and I must stop and remove the dough from the hook to continue kneading ... Thank you
We noticed that it only happens to us when we use about 7 to 8 cups of bread flour, plus taking in account the other ingredients. The manufacturer user manual state's 6 cups is the maximum. Other than that we dont get the issue. Hopefully this helps out. Good luck.
Thank you so much - my Cuisinart stand mixer's height was making me a bit mental. How could they engineer something to be mass produced that seemed so flawed and I'm a baking noob too.
I agree! I was so excited to get a Cuisinart stand mixer only to be disappointed that it wasn't getting all the way down! Glad I found this video!
no matter what i do the screw won't move and i'm just stripping it!!! do I just return the machine? because its useless at this point
I've read reviews on Costco stating the same.
I tried to adjust mine but the screw is so tight it is impossible to do
At first it will be tight. You will need to put some power on it. Using some pliers to hold screwdriver or a wrench style screw driver, meanwhile you press down, can help. After initial turn, it becomes easier. Also adding some wd40 can help. The screw is meant for adjustment. Good luck.🏋️💪
@@StatUpBox IF YOU HAVE A SOLDERING IRON, YOU CAN HOLD IT ON THE SCREW TO WARM IT UP AND RELEASE THE LOCKTITE THAT IS LOCKING IT IN PLACE, SO IT DOESN'T MOVE FROM VIBRATION.
The screw so hard i cant turn
Am I the only one that has this problem? The whisk is touching and scratching the bowl. Plate at the bottom sits perfectly, doesn't seem like I can get it any lower. And the screw didn't even one bit. And like so many others, I don't want to strip the screw. So what do I do if I can't adjust the plate at the bottom??? 🤦🏻♀️
I tried this today, in my cuisinart. Now, there is a rattling in the head. Just return the piece of junk.
perfect but my machine not have that screw what to do
Is it Kenwood? I believe they also make some mixers under other brand names but they usually have adjustment nuts on the beaters themselves. You might want to check those out.
This screw will not turn right!
Did nothing for the cuisinart. Screw turned but it didnt matter.
Why is it bad for your health if it touches?
Scraping off metal shavings.
I can’t get my screw to budge no matter what 😭
We also have alternative way video ruclips.net/video/wqTVi9y4eOA/видео.html
@@StatUpBox thanks. I tried the alternative too and one of the 3 screws was seized and I’ve damaged the screw head trying to get it out haha. I was so desperate for one to work as my paddle is so far out of alignment that the machine is useless.
My husband , who is a big strong guy, cannot get the screw loose period, so he has just put the dime underneath the bowl...
Don't think we can raise the bowl on my Cuisinart because the bowl locks in place. That was a good idea to put the coin underneath it😅
I hope the screw isn't too hard to turn when I try.
Mine cuisineart is extremely stuck and I can’t move the screw at all. So much for having a stand mixer. :(
Hands down the worst product I've ever used. Why put a tiny screw in a place that is not accessible by nearly anyone. Tutorial was great but couldn't get it. I'm returning this mixer
