Oh man! I felt that first flick 😆 love me a good bolster lock!
Oh, yeah, it’s good. 🤩🤔😆👍🤓
Thanks for the Look Rob, still tossing it around, I did grab their 20th Aniv release (601X I believe) and great knife but slimmed down on the girth which surprised me and I heard you and a few comments saying it was thin but maybe in the end it will be a better carry, Thanks 😎
It is a bit thinner for sure! But it is wider also, so it feels balanced to me!
Thanks man. I liked the smaller one. But this is where its at. The only thing i worry about would be sharpening.
So far, the stropping of the 20CV steel has been solid. I guess it could be hit or miss here. I definitely would go for a non-coated blade from We Knives.
@Robs_Nerdy_Knives 100%, but I was referring to the choil area. Didn't explain to well sorry.
@charlesard8639 understood. It has a surprisingly big finger choil area.
HI Rob, I just received my Nitro OG. today. I got the same one as you did. Totally love the size of it. I wish it was a little thicker. For some reason, We is on a kick where they are making all of the We knives thin. The pictures definitely got me. I thought it was going to be thicker. It is not bad, though. I also was expecting more contour than there is. Arch in the scales. The pictures make it look good. For me, if the cost was any greater, I would have had to return it. It's really a great knife. It's a keeper.
Very cool and hopefully you were able to buy it with the 10% off. I can tell you that Skiffs make it even more insane!!
I used my phone to look at the lock ramp and can see there is a detent ramp. It’s like how Chris Reeve does it where the edge of the lock face is chamfered.
Yes, sir! That is true and how he does his customs. So nice, right?
What I’m curious about is the heat treat of the blade? Do you have any idea how the edge retention is on that 20CV? It looks like an amazing knife. If the heat treatment and edge retention is on point, it’ll be one of those legendary ones.
Agreed and right now I’m inclined to believe the non-coated ones will be exactly that.
@@Robs_Nerdy_Knives thanks!
WE’s 20CV is treated very consistent. The coated blades are slightly lower HRC due to the process. I guess they could over harden the coated blades and let the coating bring the HRC back down. But their uncoated blades are on point.
@@LanningKann I appreciate the info! Thanks!
Was that a Para 3 or a Para 2 in the size comparison?
It was a PM2 or Para Military 2. The bigger one.
It looks like a great useful design but for $350 it just doesn't speak to me. Thanks for the vid!
This ran $314.50 before you could apply the 10% discount using RNK10 that makes it $283.05. At $283.05, it is 100% worth it in my humble opinion. I handle Peter Carey’s knives at Texas Blade Show, and, yes, they are much better; however, We Knives does pay homage to Peter’s design and this is probably the best action I’ve ever experienced in a We Knife. If it’s not for you, I get it. Buy what you love!, right!
