I bought mine a couple of months back, after I realized that I almost never used the pliers that make my other multitools so much larger. It's been a champ. Being able to one-hand the blade is a great bonus And the scissors are more usable than the ones on most of the plier type multitools that I own. Sometimes I find that sometimes the release for the secondary tools hangs a bit and I have to use my other hand to push them out, but I never have a problem with unlocking after use. I wish that i could get security Torx in a format that's usable by this sort of tool, because that would make it pretty much perfect for me, but it isn't going to happen.
I feel like you use the pliers a lot... Because I'm always pulling them out and trying them... If I'm being honest, 90 percent of the time, I pull them out, try to use them, and they don't work so I go grab some vice grips😂. Maybe I should forego the pliers as well. Saves a ton of weight.
Love the KS2E! The scissors, saw and knife are awesome. Regarding the smaller tools, the in line Phillips is great. I'm OK with the small file on the Phillips. It's not great for fingernails, but you can use it to file small things down. I'd be OK if they changed it to diamond. It's a minor tool. The can opener/bottle opener works well. As do the tweezers in the scissor handle. In addition to punching and drilling holes, the awl has a very sharp edge which makes it an awesome package opener. The only changes I made: 1) I removed the pocket clip (takes less than a minute), 2) I bought the iFixit Moray 4mm bit kit and changed the bits. The iFixit bits work much better with the magnet in the adapter.
I use the Gerber Lockdown series and I am noticing more and more companies follow suit. I’m excited to start testing out these other models. I also don’t drink, or rather I don’t get drunk. I’ll still drink for the right celebration, but I do love getting Mexican cokes from the gut truck. There’s something just better about cracking open an ice cold coke in a glass bottle. So my bottle opener definitely gets some wear and tear.
Good to hear about your experience with it. Just got mine a couple days ago, and have yet to use it for anything other than some screwing with the original Philips tip, which worked marvelously. I find myself loving the feel of it overall, as compared with my simultaneous purchase of a Victorinox Cybertool L (41), which is waaaay fatter yet doesn‘t really pack a bigger or better punch for me - at least not yet. Was looking for something with a decent blade (and not necessarily any smaller second blade), good scissors, a saw, a (nail) file and especially flexible screwdriver options. Oddly enough, the market doesn‘t offer much in that direction without also getting a fish scaler, a pen or other junk I‘d never use. The Elite ticks all my daily use boxes, and in a compact form factor. Also love the locking screwdriver and blade! I wouldn‘t hesitate to carry the Elite in my pocket sometimes (though my backpack is the usual carry), and I can‘t say the same for the V. Cybertool L, which is rather chunky. But the M would have lacked a couple key functions, as do most of the other V. options out there. Side question: Care to share what you were using to sharpen the scissors with? And will it also work for the D2 blade?
Alot of reviewers sadly have a contact where they must send back the products after they show them off. Not ever company does this but I do what to show real world testing where I can and if I can not then I'll make it clear in the video. That said thank you for the watch
The other great thing is that he strops, many reviewers go straight to resharpening, most of the time all that is needed is a strop, I have some blades that I have not sharpened in years, they are still extremely sharp. Blades will last far longer if you don’t wear away material with unnecessary sharpening. Along with not abusing blades, they will last a lifetime.

I've had my KS2 Elite for 5 months now. 2 issues.... 1)The knife can be too small for many tasks. 2) The scissors can't handle any abuse. I cut some thick straps and now they can't cut papers. The edges are no longer fine. Other then those two complaints it's an amazing tool.
It is not the same as olight ks2. Olight ks2 i heard is the original Ks2 without the metal quality upgrade but with aluminum scales. Ks2 e is better in almost all aspects
Olight version blade steel is DIN 1.4116. handle scales are aluminum. No bit kit. Get it for a lot less money during an Olight flash sale. Plus they send you a i3e eos keychain flashlight.
The lock Button does rattle yes but doesnt impact the usage of the tool at all. Neither blade gas any wobble on my ks2e or flash elite. Sounds like it needs a tightening
Can you make an disassembly assembly video for the ks2 ? I took mine apart to clean it and I can't put it back together again.
This is one of my favorite mini multi tools. Really well made for just $30.
I received my Olight version a couple weeks ago. I'm just enjoying having the ability to have access to the many functions it has.
I bought one about four months ago and it has been amazing for me replacing my old Victorinox Camper.

Always appreciate followup videos!

Thank you for the video! We appreciate it :)
I bought one of these at Blade show 2024 and love it
What are you using to sharpen the scissors?
That's just a piece of leather.
He's not sharpening the scissors, he's stropping, which removes burrs.
Nice review. It has become my multi tool of choice. I just wish the thumbstud was removable, because it makes sharpening the blade a pain.
If only all reviewers showed in use 👍

@@MoxFoxhobbiesSo, most reviews are useless, i'm glad yours isn't, it's refreshint seeing the tools being tested.

Ask for a replacement.
They have a 10 year warranty.
Your lighting is painful. One hotspot, the focal point of the video in shadow with a white backdrop? I can't watch this, just gonna listen.
