I remember I was only 7 years old when this movie came to theaters and begging my mother to take me to see it. I became an instant fan that night when we went to go see it. I’m 34 now and still have all my Jurassic Park toys and video games. Every time I here the music from the movie, it really takes me back. Thank you for sharing this video for us fans. My favorite dinosaur is the Dilophosaurus by the way.

I'm amazed that the actors had to hike in to location areas like in the amber mine scene but it's great that it's not all back projection or in a studio.
Hi Nicole....actually, the actors and crew didn't have to hike anywhere....that location is on a beautiful estate called Valley House. They all just drove in. On the same property they built the large visitors center set and also filmed the triceratops scene. This crew most likely wasn't able to get permission to enter the property or preferred the hike. It is legal to hike along riverbeds and streams. These guys did a great job of filming the location.

Oh man.... I hadn't been up to the spillway in YEARS. I had no idea the road had deteriorated that much. If I had known I would've advised Chris against heading up there with the kind of weather I'd been seeing up there that afternoon. Glad you guys managed to get back out before the river got higher....especially with the amount of rain you were getting. That... could've gone very bad very fast.
@@emperorscott We did as well! We learned that there are hardly any "relics" of movies filmed on the island. Natives are sensitive to the original qualities of their nature and lands. Whatever Spielberg put in had to come out (by airlift haha).

@@justnoah2073 I do, CGI in films may look good sometimes but it's just not interesting.. It's like watching a fancy looking video game, I 100% of the time would rather have real practical effects and real locations and sets.

I was surprised by your crew size. Very good quality. Great content. Keep away from electric fences you seem to like them to much. I subbed. I’m hooked. Found you through man+river. Wish you continued success.
The best way is to hold a piece of green grass or leaf and touch the fence with it. It transfers a slight shock but not painful. Its how we test electric fences for cows. Also if it is a modern electric fence it wont lock your hand on it because it's a pulsing current about twice a second. It's like this so people dont get stuck to it
sterling bowers there’s a lot of fences that you need to hold it for a couple seconds before it shocks you , found out the hard way by testing it and not getting shocked so I pulled down a wire to step through and got caught in between the fence when it turned on
I love that you actually found the T Rex paddock filming location! I also like the fact that it’s literally down the road from the gate, kind of like in the movie!
I cried watching this, Jurassic Park is my all time favorite movie. It was the first movie my mom ever bought for me as a kid and it was on VHS. I'll never forget the first time I watched it and the joy it brought to me. You guys rock for this thanks for sharing your experience.

I subscribed one minute in. I was 12 when the movie came out and it has been an all time favorite. 1993 was 27 years ago. That's so crazy to me. As a 12 year old kid seeing that movie i was floored. It was nothing like we had ever seen. I'm glad you guys didn't chance the rain and you stayed safe. I wish I could hang out with you guys.
The team was so bummed. Late the night before, we all looked at each other and said... "We have to go. We have to get to the paddock." So glad we did! Worth every step of the trek. Thanks!

I went to Kauai back in 2016, and seeing the Hanalei Valley Overlook really brought me back. It's a good thing you turned around when you did; certain areas of Kauai are some of the rainiest places on Earth. The weather is really unpredictable, even for Hawaii. There was a huge storm when I was there, and it cut off access to the northern part of the island. I'd love to go back there someday...

We were saying the same thing when we were trekking around the island! But, we think it all paid off!

We didn’t do any filming in Costa Rica, just Kauai. We worked with the film commission and private owners for permissions.

It's a good thing you turned around when you did; certain areas of Kauai are some of the rainiest places on Earth. The weather is really unpredictable, even for Hawaii. There was a huge storm when I was there, and it cut off access to the northern part of the island. I'd love to go back there someday...

Wow. Great video. Thanks for this. There is NO film that fires up my nostalgia like Jurassic Park. I was 9 when it came out. Me and any 2 friends could go and see it at the cinema for my birthday. The location was as big a reason for my love of it even then.
