    At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
    The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
    As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

    Suleiman is a great actor- even his pupils are dilated when he first looks at Firuze- like in real life when somebody is in love....

    this storyline has some of the biggest plot holes....the sultan doesnt recognize the symbol of his enemy dynasty? and better yet he's been having an affair with this woman for YEARS and never once saw behind her neck where said symbol is TATTOOED ON? hes never gifted her a necklace like the many he did for Mahidevrhan, Hurrem, and Isabella? Just poorly written drama.

      Exactly you’ve slept with this woman like 500 times and you never saw the back of her neck???? And you’re supposed to be a war leader and you don’t recognize the symbol of one of your greatest enemies but your Haseki can??? How???

    • @Redluna32
      @Redluna32 Месяц назад +8

      Had it been anything besides a tattoo, I could've been sold on it more, honestly. It really wouldn't have been that difficult at all for the symbol to be reflected instead in a ring or necklace that Firuze strives to keep hidden.
      There are occasional depictions of Suleiman working on a necklace for Firuze (Hürrem notices him working with turquoise stones, which is a hint since Firuze's name actually means "turquoise") but he never actually finishes it, which might mean to be symbolic of their relationship not being true?

    May I remind that, Hürrem was the one who brought Firuze to the palace, with Nadia and Clara? Suleyman slept with Firuze and he didn't recognise the tattoo! And they blamed Ibrahim and Hatice for this! Especially Ibrahim, who was on a campaign for years, when Firuze was in the palace! It is easy to blame others for their own mistakes!

    • @tatianalyulkin410
      @tatianalyulkin410 16 дней назад

      The whole plot is absurd. Firuze actually chose to betray Uncle Sulejman and remain loyal to that psycho. Inconceivable.

    Did it ever occur to Hurrem if she wasn't such a pain in the a** and a drama queen disruption to the harem then maybe it would be easier for Sulieman to stay loyal to her?
    She's tiring. She's a bore. Most men would have thrown her away by now like he did Mahidevran.
    But the brainwashed Hurrem bots don't get that, I guess.
    Just goes to show you share the same character traits with those you idolize. Sad!

      Blaming a woman for her husband's constant infidelity, especially when she's been nothing but devoutly loyal, is absolutely ridiculous. I'm not even a Hürrem fan and I often criticize her a lot, yet I can see your comment is dumb af.
