Late, but, not using a used head gasket to torque plate hone? Likely not a big deal.
You know what the max length you can put in your 570 broach? I was thinking about buying one for a second machine.
Depending on the width of the work, but I'd say 42" is the max. I've yet to cut bigger than 36" for those JD engines, so it works good for me. You're definitely going to want to get round cutting insert holders for it.
