If you do any McCartney after this I'd definitely recommend Chaos and Creation in the Backyard. I would say that's his grittiest album, which makes sense when you realized it was produced by Nigel Godrich. Lyrically I would say its his best as well, he gets pretty personal which he doesn't often do in his songs, which I like.
An interesting one for sure! I absolutely HATE Smile Away (gawd that screeching guitar sound and those backing vocals are so annoying), and 3 Legs is just ok, but pretty much every other song is great and really holds up!
