- Lofty Views presents Memphis, TN. All video was filmed with the DJI Phantom 2+ in Memphis, TN June 12th to the 17th. The Ghost Town Blues Band provided a track off their new album, Dark Horse - Memphis Blues.

Units like this one start at $1500. I wouldn't say that is cheap. With the media pushing any negative story they can about these things makes it sound a lot worse then it is. You will always have a few bad apples that will abuse something but that shouldn't hurt the 99% of us that just want to do it safely for fun or work. I am more worried about what the police or government may do with them. Since they will get away with it because they can.
Lofty Views you're absolutely right and that is my concern also. From what little I've heard TN law regarding "drones" is mostly focused on law enforcement use but I don't know if it is restrictive or enabling. Either way the law always moves slower than technology and those gaps are often where the trouble is. 1500 is high for a general consumer but not really for someone with an agenda or like you said a government or corporate agency.. there are cheaper models and DIY kits also and the price will only decrease. At any rate I like and support the technology, just like to always reflect on the potential. I'm glad your making great use of it in a positive way
I WANT ONE! They sell returned/overstock ones at the BH for a few hundred or less though I would love to build one myself and attach some of the 'icecube' radar systems we built for the Airforce on it. Have it map out the area and be completely AI driven.
