I really like the axles. I preordered a set of the ultimates. I am going to do a little more research on the technology , so I can understand and operate all the different stuff these axles offer.I already have a ecto, going to up grade my servo to reefs and new shocks.
Nice stress test and general run but it really didn’t indicate if the rig got any better with those axles.
I would like to see you do a course run with the original axles and then the new ones. Something showing the side hill capability, ascending, descending turn ratio and what one would do when doing serious crawling.
Thank you
For $500. Ill go with a set of vanquish axles. It's a cool concept but I just don't see $500 here.
New innovation is always going to be pricey until building cost goes down. it's cool tech nice to see brand new ideas
@@Anthonyholdway I agree, new innovation is awesome and much needed in the hobby. It's only my opinion. The ultimate kit of these axles is $600. I'd use these axles for mostly steering gains and maneuverability. Are these axles going to provide me $600 worth of gains over overdrive and a dig? On top of being 3d printed and having a huge pumpkin? I just don't see it right now. But, never know where it could go!
I wonder how much of that cost is the fancy packaging. It's pretty, but save me $100 and give me a clear plastic bag.
What does vanquish have that is worth $500? Curious. I'm not a vanquish guy, so all I know if their transmissions are very nice. The vanquish axles are just a good portal, but no features like locking diffs or anything else.
@@joshsmith3280 The f10 aluminum axles or aluminum f10t The aluminum F9s. They are not $500, that's my point. I'd much rather buy a very, very good quality aluminum portal or straight axle than a $600 3d printed axle with a pumpkin the size of a 540 motor 😂. Locking or unlocking diffs isn't much of a feature to me.
Kinda makes it look like those toys with motors in the axles
Yes. It looks terrible like a toy axle. So it better perform like a miracle
I am sorry, but you should have put at least a 1080 inside to show a bit of smooth crawling. With the stock setup electronics, at least I, do not really see what the axles are capable to do...I can maybe imagine how it would work smoothly...
Im going to do a fusion setup soon and will be back out there
Really cool concept and execution but at the same time, for the $500 price tag, would really like to see better quality axle housings and more derailed specs on their website. Still, really good innovative axles.
I agree, but they buying VP aluminum axles with all the hardware inside and it will come to wayy y more than 500$.
Thanks for sharing that information. Those are step forward in the rc world for sure. I can see them slowly catching on.
Woah.. What performance improvement. Love it. Well done Sparc Drive and thank you Adam for bringing this.. 👍🏼
Thanks for the vid . The axels are a realy interesting concept, they looked to perform realy well out on the rocks with some tight lines . Id like to see how they hold up long term maby on uk terrain 😉
These axles would be awsome on my Ecto! I just got it about a month ago! Everyone complaining about the price but you have to remember this is a regular guy who started a business not a big company. I would try these myself if i can save for it.
I like high tech and innovation so ya i like em 😊
I see huge potential here, what a jump forward. I am worried about durability. Willing to bet my 3s Holmes team spec revolver would snap something in them. Also wonder how the axle motors are going to handle tight pinches.
Performance is insane. Nice 👍🏾🔥
Looks like that outside wheel speed seemed to really help get your momentum in the right direction and wiggle out of a few predicaments.
Afterthought but pretty much no understeer.
I would love to try these out. Could be a big game changer.
The concept is cool, but I just don’t know if I could get behind the overall durability. That’s a lot more electronics and moving parts added to a rig. I may be too quick to judge without trying these out though. Awesome video.
We'll see how they hold up long term! I am anxious to get a new servo in the ecto and keep thrashing it.
I know that this is the first product from a new company and nobody’s ever made anything like this, but $500 is a bit steep. I also know that the price for that kind of stuff goes down over time with success. I could see myself buying a set for $350-$400, but not a TRX4. It just needs time to sell.
Ya think they will let the axles compete in class 3? It's a major advantage in making gates with no reverse but technically you are using reverse, just on one side... we'll have to wait and see
@@kensteverson8643 I think it depends on how popular they’ll be. If enough people buy them and they attract mainstream attention, people will push the comp guys to allow them. But even if they notice, I don’t think they’ll allow them because of how much of an advantage they offer. They’ll make a gap in points between people who run them and people who don’t. It’ll also just make the sport more expensive, since they’re $500 now.
Those axles look amazing 🤘✌️
Are there any tire size limits on the axles? Where I crawl Proline 5.4 Boggers are the go to tires. How would these axles react to an over/under drive setup?
Hi I am a new subscriber🎉😊
Thanks for watching!
I would like to see them up against some comp crawlers in a competition to see how well they stack up.
Lol just wait till sorrca bans them. Thats coming. They hate innovation.
These are really cool axles!
Yeah these axles seem really neat
I'm curious if element brass knuckles and stuff will fit on these. It looks like they will.
Really cool stuff! Wow!
Wow, these are sweet
I like the idea however I don’t see the steering improvement being that much compared with overdrive also on standard tyres and electrics the axles are not working that hard I’d guess with a better esc/motor and some bigger grippy tyres you’ll find the reliability limits pretty fast, then there’s the price tag for what these cost you could easily buy a complete second rig and no amount of fancy axles trumps an extra model in the collection 😀👍🏼
The ecto is already one of the best rtr crawlers out there. It would have been good to see a before and after. Definite improvement in the turning radius tho !
I am really impressed with the ecto!
great
I'm not seeing the big price tag for these. An Element Ecto can do about the same & you get a whole rc vehicle that's way under $500.00
Agreed
Meh takes the realistic scale driving experience away for me 🙃. Cool innovation but not very practical and a tad expensive ✌🏻
I like them, and i like new technologie. But imagine this in all metal with portal axal, front and rear stearing. And tankstearing while using actual strearing and totally waterproof 🤯🤓🧐🤯 mindblowing.
So how do you like that Element? Looks like a pretty good platform
I love the element! Very impressed!
Amazing
Portals would benefit those new axials .
I recommend hobby wing fuishen se motor brushless and proline trencher tire for it they have some insane grip😂
I put the quicrun fusion in mine as well. With a bit of brass added its a really impressive rig !
Fusion will be next!
Bro don't run box stock electronics, 1080esc minimum or fusion se 1200 or 1800 brushless. That being said I'm sold on the ecto element. Time to try that brand next.
I’m going with the fusion for sure
Cool and all but my ecto will turn circles inside that setup. Much cheaper with 4ws
Impressive 7:20
Something to consider when testing. No one buying these is going to have a stock truck. Can they handle 4s? How about a 1000oz in servo.
those are the kind of questions i have as well, what about high torque paired with increased wheel speed, and for $500, you would think they would come with portaled attachments so clearence wouldnt be an issue...
He said yes to 4S when I asked him about the tolerance. I didn't ask about the servo though
I'd like to see the direct mode demonstated....
Did you set the end points on the steering?
Yes I did
Basically an open locked differential
I wonder if this would help a 6x6 turn better....?
A 6x6 with rear steering turns well already.
@@PonkyKong and cheaper than adding these axles. Lol
@@richardparkiii8355 I like the idea. But the product is more of a concept than a consumer grade product for me.
I want to see the bottom of the axles after the run. Idk about anyone else but I saw plenty of times that pumpkin hung you up
Happy to post pictures. I felt like I got hung up on the trailing arm setups much more than the diffs
I think I'm going to go ahead and pre order the ultimate kit. I'd like to see this tech further developed so I'll put my money where my mouth is
Ordered the ultimate kit :) I think I'm going to throw them under an SCX10ii based LCG chassis
👍🏼
being from europe ill stick with my amewi amxrock caballo with lockers 😂😂
If you do any amount of RC Crawling then one understands the incredible importance of a quality and robust steering setup on a crawler - - its often the difference between "i'm stuck" and "i can wiggle out of this". This steering on this ting looked outstanding so smart to have a motor on each wheel and under/over driving from a left/right/front/rear basis for maximal steering effect. Whats next -- pair the tech with portals i assume... scale up size maybe? WOW
Ok, can you please send me this crawling location? I'm in MA as well by Gillette stadium.
Its in Yarmouth off of W Old Great Western Road. An old sand pit in the woods near Deb's way
🔥…💯
Dont really see 500 worth there. Nice but you cant replace dig. Id like to see them run with weighted tires and on more of a comp rig. Cant tell much with them on a not so capable stock rig. Im not sure the width is on them but run them on a comp 1.9 and comp 2.2 rig because you dont just drop 500 for a stock basher. However imo that is a new direction which trail rigs could benifit. But for comp i would still want dig. I cant imagine the price to replace broken parts. Or the availability of parts. But all that said he did an amazing job on them but id make an axle option that has dig instead of tank mode. But really price, price, price, wow thats alot of dollars. That would put my 1400 dollar 1.9 rig way over budget
Stock brushed set up you aren’t going to break anything specially with 2s
Fusion system is next
I run 16 and 24 setups so ill hold my judgement. Really cool idea but if they are wanting near that at smaller scale I'd have to pass
It would be a lot of pieces to squeeze into little axles! But I would love to see it in smaller scales too
Smoother than the wife on Saturday night
I think it's ok.. a little pricey. I rather start another build.
The fact that tank mode can only be used on loose terrain kinda defeats the "rock crawler" purpose.
Set gates please
Definitely need to be rigged with portals. But sick
close to $500 and they are 3D printed housings? Thats kind of a tough pill to swallow
It's a suppository fortunately
now make it 4WS.
I just don’t see these in com’s or anything like that maybe for like trail running or something but for 500. It’s just it’s not worth it. It cost more than that but trucks themselves so it’s a big hard hard no
Truck does the same out the box 500 hell na. #DontBeliveTheHype
Uh, there are a lot of aftermarket axles to provide super tight steering radios and way cheaper and stronger. Like meus 57+ degrees axle. Super tight steering radios, much cheaper and way much stronger. Or alloy vanquish axles, i little dremel work and you can get the same results. Non tons of additional electronics, way much more ground clearance and super durable..
This axles..uhh, interesting technology, but no more. No really advantages compared to good axles
$600 dollars for axles.....no
I’m sorry to say but it looks a total mess. That’s a no from me. Thanks anyway Adam 😎
$600 for the ultimate kit? Lol...interesting concept and innovative design, but I don't see the point. This doesn't seem to do anything practical that a rig with dig or 4ws can't do, and respectfully, that course isn't challenging enough to really put anything to the test (if a rig can complete a course on the atrocious factory tires and electronics that come on an Ecto, it's a very easy course). Factor in the initial price and the questions about what happens when any of these extremely proprietary components break (how much does it cost to replace a stripped gear, bad motor or bugged control module?), and I just don't ever see this being anything other than a very expensive gimmick. I think the biggest real-world performance gain you'll get from these will be the unsprung weight gain.
