The mothers of the previous children had gotten their lives back on track, and DCF reunified the children to them (I had no control over it) Once a child is placed in Foster Care, that is not a “One & Done”. Don’t let anyone tell you that, because it is not true. If it was... it wouldn’t take years for Foster Parents to adopt a Foster Child (If that was true, they would be able to adopt the child the minute they are placed in your care) . The child is in Foster Care while the Parents are in programs to get their lives better. Some parents get their lives together, and some don’t. I had a little boy for over a year, and I was devastated when they had to reunify him to his birth family. I even took time off from being a Foster Parent. I cried everyday for months. That’s why a lot of people say that can’t be Foster Parents, because they get too attached & have to say goodbye. If you have the time... Check out this video I made over a year ago about the 5 children I had: ruclips.net/video/88DirtLA4C0/видео.html Have tissue nearby. you’ll cry. Take care during this crazy time we’re going through. 💜
I would say I admire you for adopting white kids. But I don't. I admire you for adopting. Period. I have to say, though: I find it seriously strange that people think it's completely normal that white parents adopt black kids, but the other way is weird? I mean...what? Kids are kids. And loving parents are loving parents. Skin colour doesn't matter, because that isn't where love come from. Good for the kids that they have you, they deserve a good mom. All kids do.
This question was unnecessary if you watched the video, you'd realize it's not about them being any race and always about what their parents are doing.😒 There are too many children and teens in the foster care system as is and that's the more important point that needs to be fixed.
What the fuck? Many foster placements are temporary. It has nothing to do with the foster parents not wanting them. Do you have any foster children? Ignorance. Ignorance.
I was a young black man that had no plans for kids. My career was my only focus. My neighbor birthed her 5th (boy) child knowing she couldn't afford the ones she already had. I heard God's voice telling me to ask her to raise him as my own. Thought that was crazy, but when asked, she didn't hesitate. I gave my whole life to this kid to make sure he never went without; the best education and most of all, how to love. I never had any biological kids of my own and choose to raise him alone. 26 years later, he's an awesome man and I'm the only one he ever knew as his father. Sure people gave weird looks when in public because I had a white baby, but I never cared. He's now the best father to two kids of his own who call me poppa. Blood doesn't make family, love does.
Imagine hating on a woman giving a loving home to children in need, but not hating on the sperm and egg donors who neglected and/or abused those children in the first place...
I don't think we should hate on either. Yes, we should never forgive abusive parents but as someone who grew up with neglect I would never have wanted someone to hate my mother for it. She didn't brush my hair or teeth, she didn't wash clothes, she wouldn't get up to feed us and when I became seriously ill she honest to god forgot about it. I am still suffering physically today but I can also see that she really tried, every single day, but she just couldn't because she was so young, alone and mentally ill with no one to help her. Don't assume that the parents of children in foster care or who are adopted are evil or bad, they are usually just humans who really needed help before things went to far.
@@helena_5456 Me too! My adoptive family is my forever family, and it doesn't matter that we're different colors. We love each other, and love is what matters.
I’m a black man now 28 yrs old who was adopted by white parents when I was a baby. Thank you for bringing humor to such a heavy topic. I am highly interested in becoming a foster parent later in life. Thank you for this video 👏
My sister and I were seperated . I was 4 she was 2. It should not be allowed to seperate siblings. It causes life long damage. God bless this women. And thank you.
@Rebecca Singletary that's just the problem though there is no need to look at race when helping kids. you are part of the problem by saying things like that. Who cares what race kids are ?? the point is they need a parent.
Right?! The message is, those Black parents got their lives back together and were able to raise their own babies. Let’s celebrate those families being able to reunite. Lizzie and Eddie’s mom and dads’ were not. They had their reasons, and no shade - it’s not always possible. What matter is those two babies ended up in the home of a loving, bright, funny mama who’ll give them the world. Let’s celebrate that, too.
Having worked child protection, they called you because you were a great foster home. I always had my go to foster families where I knew the kids would be cared for, supported and loved. The fact they called you for all kids meant they trusted you. That is a badge of honor in my book!
mario hill how you gonna tell her what she been in? You don’t know her never seen her or anything, so if she say that she was in foster care it may be true or not you can’t tell her what she have been in, keep your comments to yourself
Haaa haaa Mario, you haven't lived until you have been raised in a house where the real "Madea" ruled. In love, she would say "you all sit your nappy headed asses on that couch and dont move or talk until I say so!" She was strict, and meant business. It prepared me for the real world. I joined the military at 17, graduated early, failure for me was not an option. I saw too much as a child, and knew I had to make good choices. My Madea was a welder at the shipyards during WWII. A great example of strength and love. She said education and faith are important values. She knew how to laugh and have fun too. So for me color doesnt matter. Love does.
@Hiliary Johnson It sounds like Big Mama didnt care about race, just that they kids minded what she said. So I guess she just lumped them altogether when it was time to get results eh? I aint mad.......

When a white person adopts a black child they are seen as a “humanitarian”. But if a black person adopts a white child, its frowned upon. It shouldn’t matter. EDIT: Geez I’m gonna be in a nursing home by the time y’all quit replying 😂😂😂😂
The hate comes from all colours, sadly. Last year I came across a news video on youtube about a white couple who adopted a group of siblings. Kids were black, parents wanted to keep them all together and they adopted them all and the comments from black people were heart breaking. Comments saying the dad would wind up molesting them, and the mom would beat or starve them. Horrific comments. Race hate is everywhere. I follow a young couple who video, here in my own country (Canada) and he is Korean and she's a mix of Phillipino and Arabic..and his family disowned him because his mother (a woman originally from Korea) would not accept a non korean woman in her son's life. It's a tragedy when people have such closed minds and small hearts.
Good for you darlin’! I’m a 70 year old white woman and I apologize for all the idiots out there who have harassed you because your kids are white. We need more people like you. I respect your honesty. ☮️❤️🌻👵🏼
@Iron Fist Genetics mean nothing. Particularly to people who just love the human race... that is the only real race that there is. We are all human beings, and no two are alike. I have identical twin brothers, and even they have extraordinary differences. People who are adopting obviously do not care a whit about genetics, as the child or children would have none of theirs, despite what "shade" they may be! May you some day be at peace with yourself and the rest of the world. I feel sorry for you, and you will be in my prayers along with this woman and her beautiful children. You know, cultures are different, belief systems are different, even within biological familial lines. Uniqueness and diversity is what makes the world beautiful. How dull the Earth would be if everything came in only one color, one shape, one size, one... surely even you could get the picture? ~Peace!
Iron Fist Get your own DNA tested, and you might find some surprises you never dreamed off. Lots of people are not as white as they look or believe to be. Racism = ignorance. We all have needs and feelings, we all are human and we all have red blood. When we are hurting, we all cry all the same. We all are God's children, and He told us to love one another. If we all had a heart full of love, there would be no wars. This actually would be a happy planet.
I remember seeing a post getting hate because a black man adopted a white child instead of a black one , shit makes me HEATED. Can't we just be happy the kid has a home?
Yess. Especially When it comes to young innocent children I wish we wouldn’t think about what color their skin is. It’s setting a bad example for the kids and on top of that every child deserves a loving home no matter their ethnicity 💀
"Bring 'em on. Bring them home to me." That right there is the essence of a mother. And "If I'm doing it wrong, show me how to do it right. Adopt. Show me how to do it right," is the best, most constructive way to deal with that kind of criticism that I've ever seen. Hats off to you.
Michelle Lassiter It depends state to state and even city to city. Everywhere you need to be over 21, financially stable, and have no criminal record. (A fewww places are lenient with misdemeanors a certain number of years ago, usually 5-10, or misdemeanors as a juvenile.) There’s a lengthy application process including references and lots of interviews and checks done by people from various areas of the system. If you’re serious about it I’d start at adoptuskids (.org) see what your state guidelines are, and go from there.
As someone who aged out of the foster care system and who’s struggling to keep my head above water, thank you for giving these kids a chance. You’re a rare and kind soul 🥰
I feel terrible for kids who grow up in the system and age out. My sister (not my biological sister of course) had been in foster care since she was a baby and never adopted. She signed herself out when she was 18 but I still consider her my sister.
I'd love to hear more of your experience. Do you stay connected to your last foster family? I don't know you but I'm proud of you. I can't imagine your experience.
@@amelialouisa8541 unfortunately it wasn't a foster family per say (me and my siblings were only placed with foster families in between transitions from one house to another). My uncles, grandma, etc. took us in and split us up, but we were technically still in the system so a DCF worker would and do check ups every now and then. It's a long story, but basically blood doesn't really mean family because my own family would threaten to send us back to the foster care system for every little thing we did, we weren't good enough kids in their eyes, they would remind us that our parents can't take care of us (which was a super sensitive subject because my dad is an abuser and my mom is physically ill but they would bring it up super casually to use against us) so they were all we had and so we had to kiss their boots and be grateful although we were treated horribly. Getting told that you're going to get returned to the foster care system every second for small things like not washing a cup, or turning on the AC on a hot day, and then eventually actually getting sent back several times did a load on my psyche and i still struggle with depression, attachment issues, and anxiety. This is a very small portion of some of the things that i had to endure. When my uncle in Arizona took me and my sister in, he was borderline psychotic and would play us against one another. He thought he was a super genius and that we weren't so bright, we never knew what would set him off because he wasn't normal and would get incredibly upset and verbally abusive over non issues. Long story short, when i turned 18, i was in his custody and he took me and my sister to a park in Scottsdale near a large slab of desert. It was in 2016. I guess he got upset over something and me, his son, and my sister were jokingly pocking fun at him because we thought it was a light joke. He got super offended and because i was so frustrated after years of dealing with abusive family members and moving around everywhere, i yelled at him during a mental breakdown. he gathered all of us in his truck and drove about two minutes to a deserted parking spot and told me to get out of his car. When i did, he sped off. He left me there for the night. I was forced to call the cops in the morning to go back to his place because that's where i lived although he didn't want me there. That night i realized how disposable i was to him and to my family in general. I still have PTSD from it and it's a sensitive subject that i cant get super into because my family aren't really understanding or empathetic so they took his side. The only reason he didn't do the same to my sister was because she was 16 so it would've been technically illegal. And now I'm trying to figure out life and how to repair everything. I still struggle with relationships and with making steps for my future. I was homeless this year. It's tough. Thank you. You seem so kind.

@@alishadennis17 I was very young when I was living in foster care, so it's been a while now. I was more referring to having a stable life as a six-year-old. And yes, I completely agree that fostering, let alone adopting two young asian kids, would be very expensive. I just wanted to share that my foster mom was the most caring and loving mother that didn't care what my brother and I looked like and didn't see us any differently than just children in need. Also thank you ❤, I haven't been able to keep in touch with her since I was so young and my family moved me across the country away from her. I hope she's doing well.
That is so beautiful to hear because every child no matter who they are deserves love and the best. At least for the time you had her she gave you that love and care. Hoping you are at peace now and have love in your life.
People who don’t raise children want to talk trash about people raising foster children or adopting. Ugh! They need to STFU or do their part! Thank you for stepping up! 🏆
So i think I can attempt to explain this for you. Its tied to many of the recent movements since trump has been in office including much of black lives matter. There is a very prevalent belief that all white people will be financially set and have an amazing carefree life living in an ivory tower. And then the other disturbing belief that is widely held is that it is impossible to be racist towards someone that is white and when they say black lives matter while also getting extremely offended when someone dares to say all lives matter. And this is because they are very clearly saying that only black lives should matter and be given attention and assistance. So God forbid you adopt a white child you are demonized because they truly believe those white children you adopted didn't need any assistance because they have "white privilege". It makes me sick because all children in foster care have had difficult lives no matter the race and to insinuate that is false and the white children have some sort of mythical privilege and aren't deserving of adoption is sickening. But ultimately what it boils down to is racism and they might as well just say what they are thinking which is they view whites as a whole as evil and undeserving of help no matter their circumstances and even something as incredible of adopting a child in need is viciously attacked if it just so happens to be a white child because you apparently went against your race and assisted the enemy essentially. And that absurd "fact" constantly pushed that its impossible to be racist towards white people is weaponized and to allow the growing racism towards whites. I think everyone would agree that clearly African Americans experience WAY more racism than whites do but in the last few years I've been attacked for being white a few times for the first times in my life which saddened me deeply that causes i have supported so strongly such as abolishing racism of all kinds against African Americans and vocally supporting the changes that do need to be made have turned into movements that have encouraged and stoked more racism but against whites now. Im sure this is a bit hard to follow and I wish i had the time to cite all of my sources but yeah its just very upsetting that the Golden rule that it doesn't matter what your skin looks like, all people should be judged as individuals and never lumped together by skin color which is the definition of racism has gone out the window if you are white..
My mom was a foster parent to a little black boy. They never found him a permanent home but they wouldn't let my mama adopt him. Back then they always waited for a black family for black children or a white family for white children. That's ok. He was still with my mama until he was grown. He is our brother. My mama is his mama. We aren't siblings by law. We are siblings by heart. That's the best kind. The tightest kind.

Meowandfurrever children of color are adopted, especially right now. beautiful !!! no discrimination but here in Nigeria in the northern part in kaduna state to be precise if you are not a Muslim they will not allow you to adopt even though it a secular state, the state controls orphanages and right from their tender age the kids are giving Muslim names, so if you are a christian or animist you will not be granted the right to adopt, your presence there will seems offensive but they ask all and sundry to donate through their bank !!! . these kids are later transferred to cities and gradually converted into street beggars(popularly known as almajiris) without future, at the end they are worse off without parental care,as they are always looking sordid, unkempt, untidy and unhygienic to say the least, better described: like refugees from a war-torn country. please always pray for such children and remain bless

As a foster care worker... WE NEED HOMES. No one has time to care about what race the resource/foster parent is and foster child is. Also, we tend to not approve resource/foster parents that have race preferences.
Jasmine Sambula, what is the first step in becoming a foster parent? Is each state different? Is it ok if a foster mom works outside of the home? I know the internet is a great resource, but there is so much information!
Stephanie Carnes you need to call the local CPS. Usually it starts with an application and classes and then home inspection. Yes, it is ok for a foster mom to work.
@Louise Walls True but it is racist to make comments or judge a black woman with white children. Likewise if it were a white woman with black adoptive children. They all need homes and someone shouldn’t be prevented from going to a suitable home, if the race of parent and child are different. It’s literally meaningless.

Elisabeth de zagon lucky daughter to have a mommy like you! God bless you and your daughter (from another girl who was adopted)! Best wishes to you both!!
Heal-Thee hi. I had to travel to China to pick her up. I wanted to adopt from Belgium but as a sigle mom, I was bottom of the pile, so it could have taken 5 years plus... so China was fastest! I went back to China in 2009 to volunteer teach English (I have a degree in English Literature) and took her with me. Tough for her at 5 1/2 years old, I personally loved it.
Heal-Thee FIRSTLY, she did foster black kids, but their birth parents took them away, one after 24hrs and the other after 13 months or so. The foster system asked her to take a little girl, who is now her daughter, as she needed a place immediately. She didn’t ask what color or anything, just a baby needed a safe, caring place to stay. And that’s how it happened. So no criticism on her part. She probably lives there cuz she found a job nearby. Who cares if it’s a white neighborhood. Have you adopted or fostered? SECONDLY, I've been living in Belgium since 1993, after having lived 25 years in the US, in Italy as a teen and in Belgium from 11-13. I was born in Belgium, but my parents emigrated to North America... so I am 100% European, and was born a political refugee due to my father being one, from Hungary who fled dire conditions in 1948. He was also in foster homes. I gave up my US citizenship cuz I couldn’t deal with the current US politics and double taxation. And being the bottom of the pile as I'm single, in Belgium it would have taken me too many years and I was 42 when I started the process. I would have been 47 by the time I could have adopted here. I didn’t want to foster because often they do go back and I didn’t want to tear a child's heart or mine! Separation in a young child leaves real brain synapse scars. Trust me I know now from experience with my daughter. So please don’t judge before you have the facts. I admire her for loving these kids. And so you know, many kids who are adoptable in Belgium come from prostitutes, immigrants, etc, and of course some white abusive or neglected background, so you get what you get from an ethnic stand point. Could’ve been African, Eastern European, white Belgian or whatever mix... But it was too long a wait to do it locally, thus it was China for me. I could have done South Africa or Madagascar, but they were having issues at the time, so it wasn’t sure. Thus China was my best option. Be kind.
@DezaRay24. We had yearly reunions with the adoptee group ever since they were here. Else, she had some Asian friends growing up and at one point she took Chinese lessons. Else, no, she wanted nothing to do with her birth culture. She was Belgian and that’s it. She just graduated from High school, is very smart and will start uni in Sept 2022. Covid has been hard on her mentally and she needs a break. She’s an incredible young woman and will do well in life. That is what’s most important. She says one day she’ll do back to China, but with a friend. When she’s ready. In the mean time, we found a full bio sister (in US)v, but her sister wants nothing to do with her China family, so they have not met or communicated. I hope one day.
I love seeing a mother who saw babies in need.... I'm struggling with miscarriages and once I'm done with my schooling I will be looking into fostering as long with still trying.
Not for foster children, that would be like medical leave because I'm babysitting. Maternity leave if for your own child, it does matter if you gave birth or adopted but it has to be your child, not a borrowed child.

Natasja, when you close your eyes at night and you hum softly the same lullaby your mother sung to you.... You feel your daughter in your arms. Please listen, never give up on that feeling...that is your eternal soul bond to your child. The repeated dream, that same smell that always brings you right back to wanting her in your arms....hold onto that string, that's her eternal string, bonding her to you ...from before you were even born, she was yours. Honey, you have to stop blaming yourself...because that just wasn't the path too you, but some bonds cannot be broken...unless someone let's go of the thread that bonds them. *BIG HUG* (I'm sorry if I've just given you a shock, truly I am...it is just that I am an empath, and a medium. YES! Thank you for sharing your story. I've been hesitant about adopting/fostering children while single. Your channel is inspiring. God bless you and your babies. You have a BEAUTIFUL family.
Ebony Greene we shouldn’t be upset about those parents either. My disabled child was placed in foster care because the school nurse acted like she knew more about my child than I did. My son had a seizure and the hospital tested him and found that the medicine in his blood was low. They used that info to take my son. They wanted me to jump through hoops to get my child back. The foster mom told me that my son had a seizure with her and was taken to the hospital. They tested him and the medicine in his blood was still low. That’s when they found out that he had a growth spurt and his medication had to be increased. The foster mom told me, not DCFS. They wanted me to jump through hoops but when I asked why do I have to when he had a growth spurt and they wrongfully took him, that woman became angry that I knew that info. So I told her that I was getting them out of my life by giving him to his dad. That bitch had the nerve to say “he has a father?”.
For the parents whom do not care what happens to their children I fully agree with your comment.. And Im not commenting back to be hateful or start anything.. Just want to let people know that a lot of children taken by CPS is on false claims and they go for fostering bc of the money.. Not every child is forgotten by their families and no matter how hard they fight for their return they get no where bc CPS wants to violate every right you have, make up more lies, go upon the only things you have troubles with in court but not your accomplishments not that you NEVER hurt or abandoned your children and they make a crap ton of money and funding for the children they take. (Not saying all foster parents or CPS workers are bad or not passionate.. But CPS has been wildin out taking kids for no reasons it is facts its everywhere they have also been involved in sex/child trafficking and kids being adopted to abusive homes when they was never in one to begin with.. I respect this lady making this video fully she seems like a good honest loving lady but thats not the experience all parents and children get)
@@diannwhitaker6 I really appreciate your response. Honestly, I thought about my comment a few moments after I typed it, and I thought I deleted it! I tried to rescind it for the very reason you described. There are many parents for whom the system has not been just or fair, and their children were stripped from them without cause. For those parents, I can't imagine the frustration and anguish. My comment was actually misplaced frustration. I was not so much frustrated with parents as much as I was frustrated with those who are unwilling to adopt but are readily willing to criticize interracial adoptions, such as the people she referenced in her video. I agree with you in that some parents do fight but the system is not always fair and is filled with people who make assumptions. Thank you for sharing your experience.
@@ebonygreene6778 yes I totally agree with your comment as well. Its sad people are making a big deal about the skin tones of the foster parents and children. As long as they are getting everything they need and are truly happy in what ever home they are in then that is what matters. Im against cps and foster parents who want to x out the real.parents for no reasons or bullcrap that has nothing to do with why they want to separate a family. Kids want their mom regardless no one could ever change that. ❤
My children are not mixed in the traditional thought way. My dad's family was from Isreal and my mom's from Germany. My husband I guess you would call him a mut. So our children got the good points from all sides. My daughter (olive, freckled, crayon red hair, dark brown/black eyes and extremely curly hair) gets frustrated because they tell her all the time that either her mom or dad isn't her "real" parent. My son is translucent blonde hair blue eyes and never tans. They both look like our mini me's if we are alone with them.
I'm mixed I never experienced this myself but I have seen Black people saying she should have adopted a Black kid. At least when you are mixed you got both races and two races in you lol To me it does not matter but us mixed kids are both half and half. half White and half Black so lol
I lost my only son to brain cancer almost two years ago and ever since the thought of having more children just breaks my heart. So I’ve been seriously considering possibly adopting a child. The world is so crazy right now besides from losing my child I can’t really imagine bringing another person into this world, but there are so many babies already here that need love.
I wish you a beautiful journey into the love you got in your 💖 and be in peace with your feelings, your memories and your wishes , they are all beautiful as YOU are Kathleen Young 🙋🌈🌱🌸
I was a DCFS social worker. My gawd, you are the best. You take children in need, no questions. You fight for these kids in need, no questions. You love these kids in need - and you question why others don’t. Thank you for fostering. Thank you for adopting. And thank you for making this video.
Amen to that the system is rough I was in the system my self me and my twin sister I hope to become a foster mother one day and bless other children with a living home in someone call mom in someone who will always be there for them. 😇
Ma'am I love you already!! I just clicked on this video! I can tell you love your children.....even if they are only with you for a short while. Children only deserve our love and affection. Thank you for loving all of your children that passed through your home.
I cried when she said "you're here to take care of a living breathing child that needs help". Everytime I come across cases of child abuse I feel so bad for not having done anything. I want to help kids one day. I can't wait to graduate, get a job, become successful and then take care of these babies. They need us. It doesn't matter what they look like. 🇿🇦❤️🌍
Well sure. It's nice to say that when the children being taken care of are white. Wonder if you'd say the same thing if it were black kids getting the sort of attention kids needed more from their own community
I feel exactly the same as you. I’m white and adopted a black child. I got lots of nasty comments (like you) from other white people. My son was born addicted to crack. I get him at 8 days old, 5 lbs. I adopted him when he was a year old. I love him dearly. He’s 30 now!
GOD bless you dear.....a child is a child, if God had created to be white skin or black skin... that's what God wants and it doesn't mean it was different God that created them. It just that some people their souls re filled with hates..... it's just like a murderer who thinks his victims ain't worthy to live or deserves to live ,only but himself
My mom is an amazing mother however, I was in the foster care system for a little while. I didn't care what my foster parent looked like. I just wanted to be accepted and loved by whoever took me in. Thank you for being an amazing foster mom. We need more people like you!
I just want to say I have the highest respect for you I was raised by my biological white mother and white father and I am white and our home was not happy and we were all white doesn't matter what color you are or what color they say you are it matters where there's love and safety. Thank you for being one of the beautiful people that see with your heart and not with your eyes or with the lessons of the old.Thank you!!!!!!! Just a side note if you haven't heard the song imagine by Pentatonix you need to check it out. 💖💖🤗🤗🤗
From black woman to black woman, most importantly woman to woman, thank you for not seeing color! It's amazing these kids have a loving mom like you!! Love is Love I'm so happy you showing them so much LOVE!!!!
Its nice to see black women supporting each other....whether its something they themselves would do or not...its just the maturity and emotional support of. Women of the same race or not just supporting each other for something as seriously needed as foster care.
That is SUCH a rude and inappropriate question! Why not say "How wonderful that you gave these beautiful children a loving mama!" Thank you for making this video as you are enlightening people that adoption is a beautiful thing, regardless of ethnicity. 💕
God bless you Kim! The next time anyone questions you in regards to race, please let them know what God has said according to Acts 17:26, that we are ALL of the same race...THE HUMAN RACE! Love in Christ! Gerry( LOVE IS COLOR-LESS my sister!)
I LOVE your explanation and passion! Imagine what a lovely place this world would be with more people of your moral character. These kids were so lucky to find a mom who is so passionate to be their mother.
as a white woman I feel I need to point out that saying "white people are more intelligent, talented and beautiful" whilst making a statement that unintelligent is rather ironic... beauty, talent and intelligence are measured individually, not according to race. Race has literally no bearing on eye catching genetics, good use of brain cell functions and the ability to create things or perform to an extraordinary degree...
Agreed to all comments, who would question her decision to adopt her children, a mother knows when she meets her child, however that child comes into the world, some we grow in our hearts others in our bodies but the love is all the same it’s not different, just saying xx
My husband was in foster care and was raised by two amazing foster parents who fostered over 100 kids over the years. They didn’t care what color you were, they just wanted to help. We want to follow in their footsteps. Thank you for making this video, people need to hear this.
@@ivy3001 yes, they won awards for their work. My husband was lucky because he got to stay in their one home his entire time in foster care. He saw many kids come and go but there were a few permanent kids in the home that he grew up with. They truly were amazing people. I was fortunate enough to be able to get to know his foster Dad before he passed, I have to say I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing father in law. I felt blessed to have known him.
My husband's cousin is a single white mom of a black son. Her heart's desire was to adopt a child. She didn't care what gender, race, ethnicity the child was, she just wanted the child to be a baby. She ended up with a ten year old African American boy. He's now in college and they are as close as any mother and son. RJ had been in foster care his whole life and all he wanted was a good home with someone who would love and take care of him. God bless you for loving those kids and giving them what they need most...love!!
But what happens to the black kids what made u give them back
The mothers of the previous children had gotten their lives back on track, and DCF reunified the children to them (I had no control over it) Once a child is placed in Foster Care, that is not a “One & Done”.
Check out this video I made over a year ago about the 5 children I had: ruclips.net/video/88DirtLA4C0/видео.html
Have tissue nearby. you’ll cry.
Take care during this crazy time we’re going through. 💜
Holden It Down you do you , don’t worry about what others think . A mommy is a mommy. You are special and strong .
Thank you for sharing your story
I love your story. Amazing. Glad you stepped in to help this young mother. You were obviously the father he needed.
Most see color....
A few see love...
I'm so happy, men are raising men. I bet you feel so proud! It sounds like you did so well.
You're amazing. Your son is very fortunate to have you.
Amen. We dont know their circumstances but hope is for the children who are abandoned, abused and neglected. Please Beautiful Lord, Have Mercy.

@Rebecca Singletary that's just the problem though there is no need to look at race when helping kids. you are part of the problem by saying things like that. Who cares what race kids are ?? the point is they need a parent.
Y'all heard her say that all the black children she had were reunited with their parents? Celebrate that too!
Amen
Amen!
Well said.
Heard!!
Having worked child protection, they called you because you were a great foster home. I always had my go to foster families where I knew the kids would be cared for, supported and loved. The fact they called you for all kids meant they trusted you. That is a badge of honor in my book!
Color doesnt matter, I was fostered by a loving, caring black family. They taught me alot!

mario hill how you gonna tell her what she been in?
Love does.
@Hiliary Johnson Dont sound like Madea made any distinctions. She wanted results!

EDIT:
Geez I’m gonna be in a nursing home by the time y’all quit replying 😂😂😂😂
Actually, i started to see it as being condescending when whites adopt black kids. I was so happy to find Kimberly's channel. Made me feel better.
I have seen people get hate for doing both.

~Peace!

Get your own DNA tested, and you might find some surprises you never dreamed off. Lots of people are not as white as they look or believe to be.
Racism = ignorance.
Can't we just be happy the kid has a home?
i understand where the people are coming from but he is a person and black second people always want to decide what u have to do based on your colour
Yess. Especially When it comes to young innocent children I wish we wouldn’t think about what color their skin is. It’s setting a bad example for the kids and on top of that every child deserves a loving home no matter their ethnicity 💀
Exactly, and if it was a white dude who adopted a black child and people were hating on him, those haters would be called racist.
It's pointless cuz white people can adopted every race, but other races can't about white babies!?,
We are all Humans!
"Bring 'em on. Bring them home to me." That right there is the essence of a mother. And "If I'm doing it wrong, show me how to do it right. Adopt. Show me how to do it right," is the best, most constructive way to deal with that kind of criticism that I've ever seen. Hats off to you.
Totally agree with you. She's amazing! I'm so glad I watched this video, I had no idea foster care was free.

How do you become a foster parent

Gurl I'm here to find out why people think adopting a child that needs a home has anything to do with race😐
Exactly. If she loves them and provides for them then she is their mother. A mother is a mother no matter the color of their skin.

I said I guarantee you he sought out his race and identified with them. You could never understand what he faced as a black male. Only another black male could.

AussieAussie 83 I was appointed to the Foster Care Review Board by the Governor of my State. Don’t believe everything you read. Children in mixed families always look for their real families and their people. I can’t recall any that didn’t even if the foster parents were nice to them. beautiful !!! no discrimination but here in Nigeria in the northern part in kaduna state to be precise if you are not a Muslim they will not allow you to adopt even though it a secular state, the state controls orphanages and right from their tender age the kids are giving Muslim names, so if you are a christian or animist you will not be granted the right to adopt, your presence there will seems offensive but they ask all and sundry to donate through their bank !!! . these kids are later transferred to cities and gradually converted into street beggars(popularly known as almajiris) without future, at the end they are worse off without parental care,as they are always looking sordid, unkempt, untidy and unhygienic to say the least, better described: like refugees from a war-torn country. please always pray for such children and remain bless

They all need homes and someone shouldn’t be prevented from going to a suitable home, if the race of parent and child are different. It’s literally meaningless.

3. The kids might grow up with an identity crisis if they are only hanging around her black people

Be kind.
Hopefully you raised her to know her Chinese culture and she was around people who looked like her.
Wishing and praying it all works out for you! God bless!
The man that raised me was the best man I ever knew and he is black ... some people are so ignorant..

It just that some people their souls re filled with hates..... it's just like a murderer who thinks his victims ain't worthy to live or deserves to live ,only but himself
Love is love no matter the color. A child doesn’t see color, they FEEL love.
RIGHT ON
PERIOD
You’re so full of charisma! Thank you for being a foster parent
My mom is an amazing mother however, I was in the foster care system for a little while. I didn't care what my foster parent looked like. I just wanted to be accepted and loved by whoever took me in. Thank you for being an amazing foster mom. We need more people like you!
yes!
Talk to me...i wanna fost adopt an older teen soon. But don't wanna freak him out. Teens are the best age to me. They are children in big bodies lol
You kept siblings together and you created a family for everyone. I have respect for people who look at things and do the right thing.
Thank you so much
I just want to say I have the highest respect for you I was raised by my biological white mother and white father and I am white and our home was not happy and we were all white doesn't matter what color you are or what color they say you are it matters where there's love and safety. Thank you for being one of the beautiful people that see with your heart and not with your eyes or with the lessons of the old.Thank you!!!!!!! Just a side note if you haven't heard the song imagine by Pentatonix you need to check it out. 💖💖🤗🤗🤗
I completely agree my respect to those who are willing to step up regardless of their color to help children regardless of their color. 💚
After being harassed by youtube for weeks, I finally decided to see why this random black lady adopted these white kids.
OMG Same! I'm like why does this video keep popping up in my feed?!
Same thing here!!! I have been seeing this video for so long avoiding it and today I finally clicked on it lol
Exactly
It's makes no sense it's Plenty of african kids in the System !
@@SexyCarmelo68 well go adopt them then
@@1musicinfinity No kidding. It's like these fools didn't even watch the video! 😂😂
Thank you. I am adopted, and your story touches me deeply. As you said, the all that matters is the child's need.
From black woman to black woman, most importantly woman to woman, thank you for not seeing color! It's amazing these kids have a loving mom like you!! Love is Love I'm so happy you showing them so much LOVE!!!!
Kays Clouds Thanks for being open minded. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@dianedizayee5211 thank you for ur opinion, I never ment any disrespect. I'll communicate better 😄
@Cynthia Kirkland you sound stupid!
Damn. This woman is all about real love. What a blessing to these children!!
God bless you Kim! The next time anyone questions you in regards to race, please let them know what God has said according to Acts 17:26, that we are ALL of the same race...THE HUMAN RACE! Love in Christ! Gerry( LOVE IS COLOR-LESS my sister!)
@@bevybutler8077 Amen! ♥️
She does, if you stay awhile & subscribe you’ll see it & maybe learn something :)
Just imagine if all human beings thought about children in this way. Racism would not exist.
I LOVE your explanation and passion! Imagine what a lovely place this world would be with more people of your moral character. These kids were so lucky to find a mom who is so passionate to be their mother.
It's called the human race. Different nationalities same race.
as a white woman I feel I need to point out that saying "white people are more intelligent, talented and beautiful" whilst making a statement that unintelligent is rather ironic... beauty, talent and intelligence are measured individually, not according to race. Race has literally no bearing on eye catching genetics, good use of brain cell functions and the ability to create things or perform to an extraordinary degree...
Different “ethnicities”
@Hauger They probably would being racists and all. So it doesn't really affect my opinion on the subject...
@Hauger having fun troll? 🤣🤣
I was adopted by a Choctaw woman and Filipino man when I was 12 and going through my emo phase. Love truly knows no bounds 😂❤️
That's amazing 💕
I hope none of those who are running their mouths are allowed to adopt children.
@ce collie SAME TO ME HERE I THINK SO
Agreed to all comments, who would question her decision to adopt her children, a mother knows when she meets her child, however that child comes into the world, some we grow in our hearts others in our bodies but the love is all the same it’s not different, just saying xx
God bless your family and all the love in your house
What a wonderful woman. She has so much love in her heart and isn't afraid of sharing it. ❤
It’s amazing when innocent children and babies are in need, people are wrapped up in skin color.
My husband was in foster care and was raised by two amazing foster parents who fostered over 100 kids over the years. They didn’t care what color you were, they just wanted to help. We want to follow in their footsteps. Thank you for making this video, people need to hear this.
Are you fostering at the moment?
Wait they had over 100 kids
Nuff said! ;-) ...True, true, true...
