I recently plumbed my 4gpm vevor pw. I added an external adjustable unloader with a bypass to a 35gal buffer tank and it worked beautifully. But your system is on another level.👍👍🏄
Good video. I plan to see if my 4gpm will do the same. I’m tired of constantly staying on the trigger to keep from overheating the pump. Glad it worked for you.
It was a gamble, but I'm loving it so far!! My 1st House Wash with it I was running a deficit on water supply, so it automatically improved my operation!!
I just did that with my 4 gpm with a gravity fed buffer tank and added a external adjustable unloader with a bypass back to the buffer tank and it rocked.goodluck with urs brotha
Most of the gravity fed systems I've seen online for a 4 gpm machine have a much lower profile buffer tank. What was your thinking on picking a vertical tank? Also, do you ever drive with a full tank?
From my understanding the water level in the tank needs to be higher than the inlet on the pump, so I figured I can keep 40 gallons above the inlet level with this tank. I hauled it about half full once by accident. But usually completely empty when it is moving. This system is not capable of transporting water
Hi I was wondering how it’s been so far with this setup? I’m curious what your pressure washer is and is the pump rpm 3400-3600? I have a belt fed but it’s 3400 rpm same as direct drive so the manufacturer says it does not pull from a tank.
Hey Anthony, I actually don't know what my RPMs are. But this setup has worked perfectly for me all year. The motor rpm should be the same whether it's Direct Drive or belt drive. But the belt gears should spin the pump at a lower rpm than a DD. Try pulling out of a 5 gallon bucket and a short hose. That might save you from needing the verticle tank.
If that Hudson valve gives you issues try a Jobe valve. I have one for my buffer tank and it works perfectly and has a good flow rate to keep up with the pressure washer.
Hey man does your pump pull when the engine isn’t running? Like it would if you’re on a water hose ? Jw because I’m setting up a buffer tank and it doesn’t pull when engine is off but seems to pull when it’s on ?
I love it!! I haul it with at most 10 gallons in it, never full! The bypass is wonderful! I have never had issues with feeding on my Direct Drive with this yet! It's been about 10 months of continual use!
@@steppspressurewashing oh well my 2 tanks will probably be filled all times with SH and the other with soap, i have a 330 gallon tote that i have for water but i always drive with it empty
I did the same thing on my gig but pressure is lesser than it should be but gets the job done I use a 15gal tank don’t need that 50 gal gets same results and less space grab their money and disappear it might take bit longer maybe 10-15 mins longer but what the heck
No loss in pressure for me. 15 gals would be too small for me. I have already washed 3 houses with low water flow, and the 50gal saved the day! Just have to wait for it to fill!
Yard signs have worked well for me along with Flyers. Volume on both are needed. 15-20 well placed yard signs might get 1-2 jobs. 1000 flyers might get 5-10. Patience and word of mouth go a long way.
I appreciate it I had gotten a few scam jobs but didn’t bother with them they wanted the work done for free - hopefully google ads come to rescue sooner or later or much just go back to doing carpets n vents to keep me afloat I added pressure washing maybe might’ve been a mistake?
@@makycaris4672 I have never had much luck on google ads. I spend far more than I make back. Grass roots has been very effective for me so far . good luck to you man!!
Grass roots is a term for small local and inexpensive networking, and advertising. Flyers, door knocking, community events, yard signs. Sweat equity more than spending lots of money on digital ads.
Something grassroots is at the most basic level of something, down there in the dirt with the roots of an idea or activity. If you're looking to make a change from the ground up, start at the grassroots. Inexpensive, and boots on the ground type of advertising. More sweat equity than money

Great video. Do you have a link to the store where you got the tank from? It looks great and saves a ton of space! Thanks!

Not at all, even without the hose attached there's no flow at all with the motor off.
@@steppspressurewashing gotcha so looks like mine is pulling then !
@@steppspressurewashing thank you !
Definitely works but the pressure ain’t the same
No issues in pressure for me. I have a short hose between the tank and PW
Better to put the filter on the hose reel and put a filter on the inside of the tank.
Thanks for the recommendation! :)
How do you like having that large vertical tank? Does the water slosh around?

What percentage SH do you use?
We are able to get 15% here in Raleigh, but after mixing then down streaming we are just about 1% hitting the house
1in hose works better for the feed.
