      got any info on Wired Headsets ? Since my biggest problem seems to be the cable not being durable enough so it bends and twists round itself and sooner or later forces the wire to be straighten out or the sound quality you hear from your pc or listening to other people gets lowered or distorted ? All I'm after is something decent enough to last a while since most headsets/ headphones break down so easily from one problem or another.

    • @KraljHD
      @KraljHD 3 года назад +138

      It's because larger brands need only their names and they include all of those gimmick software only to sell your data. Why do you think they push the software so much?
      Smaller brands like mpow need to make good products to not go bankrupt.

    • @CaramelMeako
      @CaramelMeako 3 года назад +16

      @@KraljHD No it's because unlike the other brands they don't have filter software. The filter softwar is what stops things like family talking in the background or an air conditioning unit and even quiet sounds like phone notifications. The problem with the filtering software is that it is expensive and is often producen in house, which considering Mpow is a brand that buys rebrandable products from Alibaba they defintly can't do and it loweres the quality of the mic. In other word's Mpow really is the cheapest opftion here because they spent no money on filtering software where as every other brand clearly did as evident by the compression in the voice quality.

    • @KraljHD
      @KraljHD 3 года назад +9

      @@CaramelMeako Lol, what? Most headsets have built in noise cancelling in microphones. It depends on how the hardware is tuned.
      Software does have voice gate features, but that doesn't mean the mic itself doesn't have noise cancelling.
      That would mean that all mics are garbage at noise control on consoles, because you can't have that software running on them.
      Example:
      "ClearCast noise cancelling microphone
      The retractable Discord-certified ClearCast microphone uses a bidirectional design, the same used by aircraft carrier deck crews for superior noise cancellation, making your voice sound clear and natural."

    I'm really impressed that you included a lesser known budget headset like the MPOW Air into your review, and even squeezed it into recommended on a budget. Many creators focus entirely on one end of the spectrum, but hearing opinions and recommendations from someone with experience with both is much more useful and caters to a larger audience. Hopefully some of these lesser known brands keep putting out decent budget-oriented products that you're willing to review. If you're ever trying to do a budget segment or just include more options overall, beyond MPOW I'd recommend checking out brands like; Havit, Tronsmart, Oneodio.

    Most of the MPOW Air sound quality issues, can be solved with VoiceMeeter Banana, using the tri-band eq (push the highs and mid, reducing the lows..). Even virtual 7.1 surround can be used with VoiceMeeter + EqAPO + Hesuvi. The mic quality for this MPOW is actually pretty good for a wireless headset.

    I just want to say some nice things about the Steel Series Arctis 7. I just got them to replacing my 3 year old Corsair RGB Void Pros (battery degradation). They fit my average sized head just fine (with glasses too). I really like the build quality and the strap system is super comfortable. But the real pro is the sound quality. I tried the Roccat ELO 7.1 air, and while much cheaper at $90, had horrible sound quality compared to my old Void Pro and the Arctis 7. 24 hour battery life is also a bonus. I believe I paid $140 for my new cans, and if you care about sound, always pay more for the better product.
    Bonus charging tip for anyone who has a wireless gaming headset: Get a magnetic charging cable so that you just snap it to the headset without taking it off to fumble around and fit the cable into the port. Amazon sells them for around $10-$15.

    This is probably my most favorite format for reviewing headsets. Seriously you did such a great job!! Unfortunately you can just never take anyone else's word for anything as important as a heavy peripheral most of us are wearing for hours and hours lol. 😥
    I say that for two reasons here:
    - the Hyper X was the MOST PAINFUL headset I have ever used. the clamping force was so extreme that it gave me severe headaches within minutes of wearing. There are even videos online of how to help 'relax' the clamping force of them because so many people have issues with it, yet it's always on "most comfortable" lists. 🤔
    - the steelseries band doesn't get TIGHT enough for my head... so the opposite problem from you. altho I guess the issue is the same, the velro piece is too little and needs to extend further in both directions so the ski-band can be tightened more, and released more. 🙌

No RGB = much longer battery life. Better sound quality all around, mic quality still "meh". Noteable is the low-background noise it has when powered on and connected which can cause headache by some people, otherwise it is awesome.

    I recently went from the razer kraken 7.1 v2 to the corsair virtuoso and return the virtuoso within a week. They were so uncomfortable and the old krakens sounded way better imo. So i did some research and pretty much everyone besides this youtuber here recommends the blackshark v2 pro and ohhhhh man were those people right on the money with the reveiws. They sound soooo damn good and feel so good on my ears / head and my ears do not touch the drivers at all like the lousy virtuoso's did. "seriously the most uncomfortable head set i've ever had" But like Random Frank P said they have an amazing "even though fake" 7.1 surround sound and I can pinpoint all the footsteps and explosions in the distance perfectly. The best 7.1 i've heard on a headset no doubt at this price range. They are truly amazing and they are on sale on amazon atm. I personally love synapse and try to get all my products through razer so i can have it all on one app. I hate icue with a passion being it honestly just sucks. Crashes with app like hwinfo64 open and has lack luster rgb and headphones settings. Razer synapse is better in every way and I love being able to sign into another computer and all my settings I tuned to me are there once I log in. Corsair you have to start all over and dial your settings every time you log into another computer. But I also looked at the cloud 2's but they have no equalizer settings from what I read up and many people were complaining about that at that price point. And I don't blame them at all. You can't dial in the sound to your expensive headphones and you're stuck with whatever they send you out of the box. Once I saw that it was a huge nope on my part. As for mic quality goes i don't buy headsets for mic quality because i use a Blue snowball mic on my desk and never use the headphone mic so i couldn't tell yea. And I love that the blackshark allows it to be removable so it's out of view when gaming. One thing i don't like about the headset is the micro usb port... Razer has a issue with using old hardware on new hardware like the new razer led rgb controller uses molex for power.... Like wtf razer?.. Molex???? Like seriously wake up and get with the current times man. I've had bad experience with micro usb ports so to charge this headset i bought the magnetic charging cable where it detaches easily without plugging in or out of the micro connector port and so in return it won't wear out my usb port and will hopefully last longer than a year. If this headset had usb-c it would be a perfect 5 stars no doubt. But that's the only negative I have with the headset. Everything else which is more important is right on the money.

The wired EG3 Pros are what I have, and to me at least, they have fuller sound and you do get quite a bit directional audio compared to even the wired versions of the ones you reviewed here (I had the wired ones). Honestly, it's good to see a channel like yours covering them at least, because for a true budget option, it's hard to find anything as good, and far too many channels will say "budget" and then introduce a handful of $120+ headphones (and $200 seems to be "budget" to a lot of people when talking about keyboards for some reason)

    Ive had several issues with the Arctis 7 sound setup, particularly when playing countrer strike it would randomly mute the stereo channel (game, music, media ...) but not discord. I had to hard reset the pc to recover from it. I ended up scrapping the functionality of having 2 separate channels, is just way too buggy for me. Apart from that, I'm pretty satisfied with them, they work like a charm on ubuntu

    Factory is making some money on their own it seems, lmao

    MPOW Air Wireless for me has the best microphone best on your tests. Although it had a bit of scratchy sound when you tested it.

    Thanks for the video, but what I want to really know is Hyperx Cloud 2 Wireless vs Hyperx Cloud Flight S? Hyperx Cloud Flight S is $60 cheaper by me at the moment.
