I kinda made it unclear in the video, but the islands being recombined is PURELY SPECULATION based on what Kishimoto has said in interviews. There is no proof of it actually existing in the game files
I think this script is fine, redoing the overdone “friends are my power” crutch the games have had for awhile, and the fact that sega is letting the devs complete their masterpiece of a game is awesome. My main concern is with the current (ig later will be previous?) final act, as i did like it for what it was, it established a clear connection with sage an eggman, being a father-daughter dynamic, and how eggman does not like to admit sage as a daughter around sonic, and how sonic, eggman and sage as a trio evolve together, with eggman helping sonic even though he despises them. And then, comes the final 3 cutscenes for the game. Sages sacrifice coming to a surprize, the infamous “please, look after, father”, and seeing eggman grieve for their lost daughter. I feel like if they rewrite this story to be as the script says, it will do harm to its characters, specifically eggman and sage, as eggman wouldnt experience loss as he has in this current ending, and sage’s sacrifice wouldve been for nothing, leading to sage’s arc of learning about what a real family is to be in vain. Then, comes the post credits, with sage being trapped in the ancients technology, that setup would also have tk be scrapped too if sage does not sacrifice themself? The credits scene with the squad on the tornado can easily be moved to be honest, maybe even extended so the reminisce on their adventure and how it can help them grow too perhaps. To summarize, i guess im just mixed on the way they are rewriting what currently is a heartfelt ending to eggman, and turning it into something more streamline
In regards to Kronos/Rhea/Ouranos, I think they'll keep the map layout of Kronos/Rhea/Ouranos the same. Rhea and Kronos may or may not be combined, but if it's combined, Rhea might be locked behind invisible walls until Chaos island is beaten.
I doubt they'd combine Kronos Rhea and Ouranos into one island because ONE of the reasons Kronos was split up was because playtesters actually didn't like how big the combined island was as the first island of the game. Which in my opinion makes sense. Kronos is a very dense island with a lot of things to do, and the memory fragment pacing with Amy and story progression was fast, especially compared to the grindfests in Ares and Chaos, which again, is ideal for the first act of the game.
What I think is more plausible is that Ouranos keeps its layout and core gameplay, but has its appearance changed. Like a texture swap or something. And the temple in the sky is just a relatively long platforming challenge before you hit the boss(es) of the island, like the waterfall in Kronos and the temple thing in Ares.
The reason why play testers thought the original Kronos was boring was due to size but that's because originally there where no platforming challenges(proven by the leaked 2021 Frontiers footage).
@@christopherford39 thats true, but even then, original Kronos was the biggest island. Wouldnt make sense for the first island to be the biggest.
While Ouranos may be smaller than Ares or Chaos, it feels large and is fun to blast through. It has hills, flat areas, a big cavern, mountains, forests, anything.

The biggest thing they can do for Oranous is to give it a snow ascetic because we don’t have one & it would be a nice touch as the last island you explore, plus helps differentiate itself from Kronos, Rhea on the other hand is a bit more trickier because I’m not too sure of it but you could see some light snowfall to help the transition?
I think that frontiers 2 if that where is going will have a snow theme

I'm hoping that this new story will be in some sort of redux mode so that the original version can still be there for preservation purposes. I believe that "Shantae and the Seven Sirens" did something similar to this after a big update.
Judging by the script, maybe there is much more in between those dialogues. Sage saying lets go home, can be of a post credit scene maybe, as you said, It looks like there is more to it than what meets the eye
I hope that if they "re-fuse" Kronos, Rhea and Ouranos into one island, since it would essentially break all the current game's save files, that they force you to replay the game, however if you have unlocked New Game plus prior to the update, then you can choose a save file (preferably completed) to play the redone story with all your stats and abbilities unlocked for Sonic.
If they just undo all the effort you put into playing the game up to then because the update breaks the saves, then that would just suck...
I heard some leaked Sage voicelines on youtube, where she discusses the Ancient's "Worldship". That is probably the sky temple the playtesters were talking about.
From the whole Sage thing at the start, it sounds to me like you will be given the choice of whether to go with her plan. I imagine if you decline the game will proceed as it currently does? And in that way, they aren't "replacing" what was already there(or borking saves that have already passed that point where things are definitely different from this new story)
So, essentially the current ending is more or less the "bad ending" and Update 3 will have the "good ending" and more game.
Hey! Thanks for this discussion video. I just wanted to provide a bit of my own input here. I don’t mean to dismiss any possibilities here, but I really can’t see them recombining Rhea/Ouranos back into the original Kronos. I know Kishimoto has made implications otherwise on potential changes, but we have to make a distinction between conjecture and what’s fact. I’m no game dev; so perhaps they might overhaul the entire final act in this way. But speaking out of objectivity, it seems highly implausible for the team to change the WHOLE of Ouranos within the next couple of months before the Update has to drop. I’m still really stoked for the Update 3, as the script is hinting at some game changing revamps, but it’s also important to temper expectations because it really doesn’t tell us the extent of how it will change gameplay-wise.
I personally believe that Rhea will still remain largely unchanged along with the map layout of Ouranos. BUT, I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of adding a new map or new structures/platforming areas. I feel like they’ll weave things around in that way. Keep up the great work on your channel!
@@selkadombom7017 thanks for watching! Also, I think we should consider that the update is way more finished than what we see in the files. It seems like a lot of the stuff in the files were just accidentally left in by the developers. I think it's safe to assume that they've been working on this update of the game ever since the game launched at least.

@@modernsonicv6newsandinfo the unused super gem (I know it's not the real name I just call it a nickname I gave it) it proved they cared and tried, but even a Wii port was planned and guess what? The Wii version was fixed (no wonder) but after beta testing they couldn't downscale it and it was scrapped, THEN! sonic 06 was planned for xbox one and ps but then again, it was scrapped, I just wish they would bring back adventure and adventure 2, with a decent name at least
I think that sage sacrifice scene should be implemented in some kind of bad ending
Just a thought, what if you either fight the titans without Super sonic because tails Amy and knuckles are collecting the chaos emerald or something else like the pilots themselves

That’s my mindset as well. My prediction for when the update will drop is either September or November because for September, it’ll have been three months since update 2 came out and update 2 came out three months after update 1, and for November, like you said, it’s when the game first came out. So it’d be a full circle kinda thing, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we would have to wait until December so that they can make the update as good as it can possibly be. Whenever it’ll be released, either way, I can’t wait to play it.

Nah that would be dumb. Going off of Sage's dialogue at the start, my guess is that Sonic can choose to either follow her plan or not, and if he does not, everything happens as it currently does. If they must keep the existing stuff in the game this is the way they should do it.
But forcing you to play the game _twice_ to even have a chance at the new content would be...weird.

This is actually pretty cool. I might replay the game in hard mode when the update comes out or something idk. Depends on when it comes out because if its in October, then I’m gonna be too busy playing Mario Wonder and Sonic Superstars lol

@@THE_MAC. extreme mode is a little annoying because some times you just want to run on the island and you get hit by accident
Extreme mode isn’t balanced that well. Not only do you not get to upgrade your stats, but Sonic’s moveset is also effected. When you upgrade speed in the game, Sonic’s drop dash and light speed dash get a bit of an upgrade. You don’t get this in extreme mode. Also, lasers in the titan fights one shot you if you aren’t parrying. It’s difficult, but I think it’s better to approach this next update on hard for the best experience.

The new places might take on the names Ouranos and Rhea.
Ouranos is the titan god of the sky, so if the location/island where you play as Tails, Amy and Knuckes is hovering in the sky it makes sense to call it Ouranos.
Rhea is Zeus' mother and she symbolizes childbirth, motherhood, fertility and a good life.
Considering the current Rhea island is the source of the end's prison, its replacement where you do the boss rush and meet this "master king" could end up being a run down smaller zone that shares OG Kronos/Ouranos/Rhea's grassy theme.
Either way both names make sense thematically, Ouranos is something hanging in the sky, Rhea is the origin and epicentre of the ancients, something that's a remnant of their civilization & technology at its peak (which you could say about the Titans).
It's all speculation though.

Kronos (titan god of time) is run down and reclaimed by nature
Ares (god of war) contains the ancients' army and defense system
Chaos houses an unstable volcano, a chaotic force of nature
@@DarkRei7 The whole ancients "worldship" being the original final area definitely checks out then. That's very interesting
@@SFproductions1 we'll see either way I think we should on one hand tone down our expectations for what they'll add in the DLC and expect more changes on the other, two entirely new biomes is a lot of work between modeling, texturing and debugging what is essentially a new area. And I doubt they'd throw away everything they have with Ouranos and Rhea (Ouranos is content rich even if it shares Kronos' biome)
I could see them adding a floating area to Ouranos and increasing Rhea's size but to replace them with entirely new biomes could be hard to do for a DLC (doubt it'll cost more than 20$)
As for fusing all 3 islands I doubt they'll ditch the original feedback from playtesters, Kronos is really well paced for a first level.
Tough I could see them further tuning the game even after Update 3 since there will inevitably be a "complete edition" rerelease for the new consoles (and the new switch?), that's the update where I'd expect them to touch up the visuals (remove low LOD and pop in, add better textures...) adress any remaining complaints with the game and maybe throw in a new character as a bonus (Shadow would be an easy one to add as they'd probably only have to change a couple of Sonic's combat moves, otherwise they'd play in a similar fashion). I'm confident they'll drop a "complete edition" because it would generate hype for the 3rd sonic movie and the movie will attract attention to this "new and improved" sonic frontiers.
We'll see, so far all of this is speculation.

This is actually the reason why I bought Frontiers, because the devs seem to believe in their product
I remembered something that could probably bring us some insight as to how will this update work.
Final Fantasy 15 was a game that had a rough development too, and the final moments of the game were a bit rushed too. But it got a new dlc that added a LOT of new things, called ff15 royal. It added new gameplay features, new characters and expanded the final dungeon of the game, even expanding the final boss, having a little boss rush before it. It added to the story, to the characters and much more, but it maintained the same "plot", the end was still the same, but there were a lot more content leading to it. I think this update is it's equivalent here. It will add to the final game, overhaul many MANY things, but it will follow the same plot points, with the same end. I think thats what we can expect, an expansion of the final game, more context for the history, but being the same "plot" so to speak

@jeffreywilliams8499 probably more music. I'm thinking the Titan songs, since Update 2 included all the Island themes. With Undefeatable found on Ares, Break Through It All on Chaos, and Find Your Flame on Rhea(or what was once _called_ Rhea if this video guesses correct), so that you have obviously completed the fight and aren't spoiled by finding it beforehand.
They might not actually do this, I don't know for sure, but since they added music in Update 2, no reason to assume they _won't_ add music in Update 3, although there's also no reason to assume they _will_

evidence i have includes not only the 4chan leaks, but origins (not joking) containg frontiers files which had diffirent commands for her such as

and more, i'm wondering the ai voice guiding sonic was a last minute choice

As much as I would love for it to come out in September, I think it’s more likely than it’ll come out in November, maybe even December, because this third update isn’t a texture change or a new mode. This is three brand new playable characters and a whole new story. They need to take their time to make sure that the characters are fully functional and as fun to play as Sonic. As well as a whole new ending. There’s also speculation that the final boss is going to be changed in ways that we don’t know about yet based on something Kishimoto said on Twitter, and if that is true, then they need to take their time. But, I don’t know for sure. We’ll just have to wait and see, but either way, I’m very excited for the next update!

Actually, the reason why OG Kronos was split into 3 islands is because playtesters complained it's too big for an opening island, not because of time pressure. Kishimoto decided that the opening island is better off being smaller than the other islands so players won't be overwhelmed with content (a good move I think). It's when you get to Ares and Chaos that you are given a ton of room to roam around in.
Nope. The developers have come out and stated that things were rushed near the end. The play testers complained that the first island was empty due to the fact that there were no platforming challenges or rails
@@SFproductions1 The rushed development affected only the last act, hence why the end of Rhea and the entirety of Ouranos part of the story is so quickly done. It's probably why update 3 will add a lot to the final act of the story (haven't seen the leaks myself so I don't know what will happen).
The separation of Kronos, Rhea and Ouranos is a result of play-testers arguing that Kronos was so big with too much "grassy field" that it got boring to explore. Either way, I'm happy with this decision because the game's pacing is benefited from it.
@@roiitzkovich4545 true but the fact that ouranos is getting a full revamp leads me to believe that either A. They were going to split the islands but make Ouranos different or B. There was supposed to be a completely different fourth island
@@SFproductions1 IDK. Honestly, no matter what reason led to Kronos, Rhea and Ouranos separating. I think it was the right call. You don't want to bombard players with content up front. Kronos, being a small island, as the first island is good to let players get into the vibe this game has. It's when you get to Ares, Chaos and Ouranos where the game becomes really open.
@@roiitzkovich4545 Also I think it's worth mentioning that in early Kronos, you weren't able to access the Rhea and ouranos part right away. You would have to unlock those areas before accessing them
Okay..i have two of questions about this game..(Spoilers Warning!!)
1.If we really gonna fight againts The End remember that each characthers has their POV what The End is actually look like in their eyes including the players which is symbolized/illustrate as Moon gonna crushing Earth,will we get to know what The End actually looks like in Sonic's POV as Cyber Sonic (maybe)?
2.We saw a gameplay of Amy in a Hologram state,Knuckles said the he cannot enter cyberspace which is including his friends,How we gonna collect the Chaos Emeralds while we had to collect them from cyberspace?(well we cannot just fight those baddies in the field that will take forever)

I really don't like the fact Sage actually doesn't die tho. Everything else I'm fine with, but they could've kept it like how it was in the original. Personally, by keeping her alive after the final boss, I feel like it strips away the importance of humanizing Eggman.
