Perfect timing for this training refresher as I've only just started with DCS after flying Il2 in VR for some time now but my old i6-6700 w gtx 1660 ti just didn't have the power to run anywhere near playable fps in DCS before so now I've started with the Super Carrier and f-18C hornet models to begin with and see how well my i7-10700K, rtx 2070 Super, 32 gb Vengeance 3200 spd ram, nvme x 2 and ssd x 2 had. Hopefully it'll be smooth enough fps without having to do any radical settings changes off the bat as there's so much more learning and info for me to take in here in DCS World VR.
Thanks for posting these turbo training sessions!!!

Lol. I was expecting for you to go over the training missions and maybe do some explaining... turns out it's much more in-depth than I wanted and I love it!!!
I'm new to dcs(to flight sims actually) and was quite lost trying to take my hornet off the ground. First time I did, I used the throttles to steer the plane on take off cause I had not mapped the rudder pedals to my joystick control hahaha. it was quite a challenge.
Cant wait to go over the next missions and see how you approach those.

I would think that the airspeed gauge on the standby panel would be kias, and that it would work by comparing the air pressure of a forward facing port to a lateral one. Also, altitude would come from the lateral one.

Question about the TWS auto radar mode - if I drop the lock and want to reacquire the target once he is back on my scope I often need to go back into manual mode to change the antenna elevation. Is there a way to either change the antenna elevation in auto mode or is there a hotas button I can press to quickly go back into manual mode? Many thanks

Does it model fuel loss? I.e, you are shot in a wing and leaking fuel. can you stop the leak from draining other tanks with those fuel switches? Also, can you adjust the center of mass with those fuel panel switches?

I guess in real world you would set the lights/strobes after battery and before startup so that the throttles can be moved a bit. I had the same problem on the Supercarrier with "Parking Hot."

Chucks guides mentioned that the ruclips.net/video/YRLTp9aHQ4Q/видео.html
Fuel Tank External Controls are those two. One for the center and one for the Wing mounted. The Wing INTERNAL is next to the throttle.
With that said, Chuck guide is also confusing as to how to inhibit fuel drain from it.
It looks like fuel normally flows from the external tanks, into the wings and out to the engines. Now, in the 70s Fuel was redesigned for Commercial Aviation to NOT light up under extreme heat conditions. If you're leaking fuel though the explanation here makes it obvious.

there were quite a few things that are actually modeled but you guys said they were not, example the G XMT, which has nothing to do with cipher, it just forces Guard selection into the comm1 or 2, and it is modeled. Sorry for the rather toxic comment, I just think that based on the quality videos you make, there should have been more research for this cockpit before launching the video.
