- The original carbon fiber boom pole has remained virtually unchanged since it was first released. Stiff, strong and flexible, the Panamic line of boom pole has become a boom operator favorite in the decades since it was launched. Join me as we review the longest boom pole offered by Panamic, the hand made 53-5812.

I have a 1995 Panamic. It’s my work horse. All parts still original. I do regular cleaning and that’s the key.
Great add. Thanks. They are great booms!
Very nice, I could talk my wife into letting me get it just by telling her it has a built in emory board for her nails😆
Do it!
Okay so I've seen a few of your boompole reviews and was wondering if you can do something I can't seem to find on RUclips, a PRO shockmount review. Maybe show different budget levels. I know your insight on this would be very well received.
I'll see what I can do
I have a buddy with that very pole. I got to use it a few months back. Easily the nicest pole I've used, especially since it eas setup for wireless.
It's a great pole! Another one of the greats.
woot free panamic maxi! I use one myself, but the lack of internal wiring limits it to a transmitter on the head (which is getting pretty common).
Edit: I think the best all-around size for narratives is probably the midi-4. The maxi is a little rowdy on indoor sets. Overall, one of the best booms I've used. For readers, it's closer to an ambient than anything else, but has a better build.
Everyone has different preferences. If you've never tried a Panamic, you need to! You may like something else but it's important to try as many as you can so you can find the best pole for you.
Got me thinking about selling my KTek K202 and getting a Panamic
They're fine poles but a totally different feel free a K-Tek. Try one on before you buy.
I need a Boom Pole that's ergonomic and minimizes back pain. What would you recommend in the $500 to $1000 price range?

@@SoundSpeeds thank you!
Sure thing.
Is Panamic the "XCS" or "GPI PRO" of boom poles? K-Tek is Tiffen.
I don't know what that means.
@@SoundSpeeds it’s a comparison of boom pole manufacturers to their Steadicam equivalent
I'm not familiar with the Steadicam products
