When you boil something in a pressure cooker, put few drops of cooking oil in the water. Also, try to fill the cooker only upto 3/4th of its volume. Keep some space empty. The oil will prevent the formation of froth and only steam would come out during the whistle. So next time you boil in a pressure cooker, please try this trick.

You can actually make Rajma without Onions too. I make my Rajma without onions and only tomatoes. It tastes very good and preparation time is reduced drastically. I like onions but to strike the right balance between time and taste, I cook without onions and garlic.

Turn them off for a sec or 2 and then again give a whack for 10-15 sec....Key is to just turn them off and rest for 2-3 sec. Also, you can start making Rajma by heating the oil n putting Garlic cloves in one pcs in oil with ginger (big pcs), onion (4-6 pcs out of one onion)green chillies (no chopping reqd), just remove the top, Sautè it on full flame. I also use 2-3 tomatoes for sourness and texture. if you wanna add tomatoes, chop it big pcs (just to avoid chopping business) and add it after 2 mins with onions continue frying them and thn grind it all toghtr. it makes thngs way to easier.....

Keep your face/eyes away from the steam of the pressure cooker. Tie your hair back while cooking. Will keep your hair safe :) You can use the blender a little longer but not too long.

So here is a trick when you peel the onion . Put them in a water for near about 5-10 min and then cut . Onion it won’t hurt to your eyes.
