I was at that concert...my best friend Sherri and I rode the bus downtown to the HIC from Pearl City Naval Housing area...it was the first concert we'd ever been to...we were 13 years old and we were in Heaven...still have my ticket stub, which is brown and very dinky and it's been in my jewelry case since that night. Great memories and have seen The Stones many times since that night!
Hi, Gary...I just ran across my post when a video of the Stones performing in 1966 at the HIC (Honolulu Int'l Center) popped up on my phone and saw your post...so, sorry it took 6 months to respond - lol! I've been to countless concerts since that time, including the Stones every single time they came to the Bay Area, but never had the pleasure of seeing Led Zeppelin perform...you must have been just as thrilled to see them as I was to see the Stones, at our tender ages...surprised my parents let me go...life is wonderful! There's nothing like your very first concert, though, and feeling the live music drive right through your body...the best memories 😊 p@@garybrines9181
This is a great concert so many great songs and they weren’t mailing it in like they’ve done in some concerts. I’ve heard. This brings back great memories of the summer of 1966 when so many of these songs were being played on my local AM radio stations KRLA and KHJ Los Angeles.
Wow, you saw them already in 1966. It's fantastic that you see The Rolling Stones with Brian Jones still in de band. It's a long time ago but The Rolling Stones are always excellent.
@@Methilde Not True. They early versions have the bass and drums purposely turned down because the engineers were afraid that the needles on the phonographs would jump.
@@seabertotter4325 I don't like when the drums and bass are too loud, like quite always nowadays, it's kill the musical balance and is often used to hide the lack of musicality.
@@seabertotter4325 I was talking about music, the Stones had a major blues foundation, eventually Pop, Reggea, Rythm and Blues too, so it's not "only rock and roll". Robert Johnson played alone with his guitar and composed Stop Breaking Down and Love in Vain.
Saw them same month in Portland Oregon. 3rd row center tickets were $4.50. Newspaper said they got $17,000 for the show, fwiw. Brian used a detuned Rickenbacker for sitar sound of Paint It Black". Superb concert when they were at their peak. Opening bands not bad either: The McCoys (Hang on Sloopy) & Standels (Dirty Water)
My dad attended that particular concert, which took place at the Portland Memorial Coliseum. That date was July 21, 1966, only ten days after his 16th birthday.
I traveled from S.W. Washington coast to that concert at the Memorial Coluseum. Had seen the Beatles there the summer before that. Stones ruled for sure!
Horrific audio quality. I saw them one year later on stage, in Warsaw, Poland, that was in early September 1967. They played for over an hour! I did my own recording of the concert fropm the 4th row with my Japanese stereo casette deck using a stereo mic, which was a rather novel field recording technology back then. Tape has now been lost.
Missing what I think was their best live song of the 60s. I’m Alright. In the 70’s it’s Gimmie Shelter (mick Taylor Keith interplay), 80s under my thumb. From then on it’s virtually no difference
Well, that was to be expected considering that there was a lot more screaming at the Beatles' concerts and that was making them fed up. I imagine they couldn't wait for it to end.
Would you happen to have the Stones' first U.S. concert (meaning for 1966) that took place on June 24, 1966 in Lynn, Massachusetts at the Manning Bowl?

Thanks for sharing such a fantastic memory. I thought seeing Zeppelin in the Kingdome '77 at age 14 was cool.

From 'Pop Band' to 'Greatest Rock n Roll band in the World' The Rolling Stones
"I wanna see the sun blotted out from the sky" Thanks to those who saved this and then posted it !!!!
Brian is so awesome. Adored by so many.
Adored by thousands ❤ the most talented Rolling Stone🌟🌟🌟
The band named Rolling Stones is deeply appreciated by millions fans actually.
1962 to 1972,the best years for me 😎 🎶 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 ❤
I THINK THE SAME
Lack of curiosity and nostalgia.
Nevertheless that one direct in my playlist.

I saw them a month earlier....so fantastic to hear this...thanks Ed 💕💕

they played stupid girl and Doncha bother me? do you remember?
This live version of Lady Jane is awesome.
❤
Brian's command of his guitar parts continuously impress.
Staggering power. The greatest rock n roll band ever in their prime
They still are the greatest band ever!
The staggering power that Johnny Ramone caught from the Stones when he saw them in 1965 in NY
it's nice to hear the intensity of the Stones sometimes toned down on the studio versions.
I suppose you don't listen often studio versions, the original ones.

This is a part of the history... Thanks Ed... I'm waiting for the show ✌️👍😊

Tolle Songs....Danke...die Technik hatte damals noch einige Tücken, aber diese Gruppe hat alles rausgeholt.....Hochachtung....🙋
Jagger once said that he refuses to be stuck, frozen in fans memory, reason why he's still there.

Wonderful! 👍👍👍
Charlie is everyone's darling🎶🎶🎶🎸
Aftermath came out late June in the US, charted 07/09/66 peaked #2, on the Top 200 for 50 weeks.
A perfect album
Looking forward to this! Cheers ✌️
Hope you enjoyed this one @The Rover
They were Wild!
🔥🔥🔥
The hits just keep coming!
R.I.P. Charlie Watts....thank you, peace.
We all miss Charlie. But we have almost 60 years of great (musical) memories of him playing with The Rolling Stones!
Brilliant young stones 👏 👌
The last time for Brian in concert in America...
Manchmal leichte Akkustikstörungen aber trotzdem sehr gut....🎶👌

such a better document than Got Live if You Want It of 66 stones
Missing what I think was their best live song of the 60s. I’m Alright. In the 70’s it’s Gimmie Shelter (mick Taylor Keith interplay), 80s under my thumb. From then on it’s virtually no difference
Mothers little helper is mutch beter in this faster version .
Brian played harmonica, electric guitar and dulcimer. Not sure what he played on Paint It, Black.
Probably guitar
Based on the samplings I've heard over the years, I think the 66 touring act Stones were much better than the Beatles 66 touring act.
Rolling Stones always seemed better live than The Beatles
Well, that was to be expected considering that there was a lot more screaming at the Beatles' concerts and that was making them fed up. I imagine they couldn't wait for it to end.
I think the Stones had more presence, but the Beatles were certainly more explosive (at their peak)@@kpax45
No video ? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!
Charlie Watts made the mistaken song intro, not Jagger.
The version of 'Satisfaction is almost 6 minutes long.
They can to upload the video full in concert 1966 of the rolling stones
Brian last American show.
too bad unless its bbc theres no other official brian jones live stuff except fpr the bbc releases
Isn't that Charlie Watts introducing the Last Time and not Mick?
Yes
Would you happen to have the Stones' first U.S. concert (meaning for 1966) that took place on June 24, 1966 in Lynn, Massachusetts at the Manning Bowl?
Ssdly that probably does not exist
Rick Scott is a crook but i love the rooling stones. Recklessly a racket. Brilliant. Rolling stones forever😁🦹♀️
last show with brian in the usa?
Yes
I could be wrong, but Mick sounds a little tipsy...
😆
A full concert containing where The Stones performed only eight songs? I'd expected a dozen like the Beatles.
Altro che Sex Pistols.....
Unreliable financial statements priceless👦😩🤡
