Hi famfirstalways, do you mean the four bushings that hold the shifter to the floor pan?
AutoFun I got it and yea I did. Soap water and a socket and wood clamps did the job. I just installed a sts mad dog 50+5 with brake stops in had the Mopar short shifter. Also had to drill my e brake down and cut a hole to get my control arm off
When you pull the console do you bend it or something. I can't get mine out to save my life and really worried about breaking it. My interior is flawless and I don't want to break anything. I also have the 6 disk cd. I just can't get it over the e brake handle. Any advice would be appreciated.
Hi Mi! Ah yes my center console is quite flexible but yes if your center console has been exposed to the sun for a long time or is brittle there is the possibility of it cracking or breaking, Cheers!
When you loosen the adjustment screw and you say u put it in 3rd gear are u keeping it in third when you re tighten or are you like moving the shifter from third back to neutral so it moves an finds the sweet spot?
Hi You're DoneZo! correct after loosening the bolt, I place the shifter into 3rd, then tighten the bolt (shifter still in 3rd) Hope this makes sense and thanks for watching bud!

Where did you buy the aftermarket shift knob from ?
Hi Austin! it used to be sold by a guy on the srtforums, pizzaboy if I remember correctly, very heavy knob probably been my favorite so far after the chrome one sold by Modern Performance..
@@AlexAutoFun thanks for the reply , I just purchased the NRG shift knob adapter 10mm x 1.5 thread pitch . Pretty much goes on with the Allen screws then I can thread any aftermarket shift knob onto the shifter . I’ve had it on for about 2 months now & it feels very firm .

How do you remove the stock shifter ball on the neon srt4
Hi Dig Ordie! oh man it's weird but the answer is that you just pull, but like pull really freaking hard and really freaking fast all in one motion. Then all the sudden it just pops off. It's only held with a metal clip inside, let me know if you get it to work bud!

@@carlife5192 Nice! yeah it's weird, on some people it actually comes off on it's own while shifting hard but I had the same experience as you did where I had to pull and pull for a few days until it finally came off..

how reduction is there on the mopar sts if you know?
Hi Mario! Man good question, I looked into my old Mopar performance parts catalog to find out and turns out that it doesn't say. Here is how it was described back in 2007 "The Mopar Performance Short-Throw Shifter is a direct bolt-on, self-contained unit. It offers dramatic improvement in shifting performance, due in large part to reduced shifter travel or “shifter throw.” In performance driving scenarios, the additional seconds - or fractions of a second - a factory-equipped shifter takes to from one gear to another may result in slower lap times. The Mopar Performance Shifter gives the racer a competitive advantage." Typical generic sales pitch ha! If any one know the answer please post!

My torque wrench only goes up to 100ft/lbs would that be okay?
Hi Nejir! I believe you are referring to the 105 in. lbs torque spec? be careful that is very different from 100 ft lbs, which would likely strip or break the bolt. The look similar but they are specific wrenches for each. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
