I realize now this shifter was supposed to come with raised rubber mounts.
Your install is exactly how mine is gonna go haha thanks for the video 👍🏼
Awesome video
Someone finally showed the stabilizer bushings. Everyone else I have seen already had there’s in or had them in the shifter already.
Wow that car is fast.
is ur srt open pipe
You could have just raised it with some washers
Just got my self a neon srt 4 with a lot of work done to it like aftermarket wise. Do you know where I can find a hurst short shifter set? Cause MAperfomance is currently back ordered cause they are missing one part which I think is the cables.
Not off hand, might just have to stalk the facebook groups.
@@quixilver09 Thanks appreciate ya
ik this video is a year old or so, but i have a neon too but it was converted to a auto, is everything the same as the video shows even with an auto??
Sorry I didn't see this for whatever reason, but I'm not sure!!
You should of put washers/spacers in between where the shifter mounts onto the shifter mount..not between shifter mount and body of car
I'm not sure you can because of the way it's designed, but yes that would've been the ideal way.
why are you changing the shifter?
Better feel, shorter throw, shift stops
Looks like that thing needs a tune, running pig rich dipping into the 9's
I don't know where you think you saw 9s, but it did hit 10.8 for a sec. Mostly stays low 11.s. I've got a relatively conservative tune until my new setup goes on next week.
@@quixilver09 20:07, dropped to the 10s in 4th and then it dipped down to 9's right before you let off.
Pretty sure they make a spacer for this shifter
Yea I looked it up online and the kit shows different mounts 😔
I’ve almost knocked my mom out from my shift knob coming off from first to second gear😂
😂😂
You're yanking on the shifter before you're even touching the clutch pedal 😳
pound body down some.....i saw a hammer.....lol
Not the correct Hurst bushings that come with kit! That’s why the clearance issues! That looks like stock bushings . Hurst bushings are taller and go under stock frame to raise it!
"Massage" the floor with a ball-peen hammer.
I'm going to have to redo it I'm sure because 2nd, 4th, and reverse just got real soft. I bet it wore through where it was hitting.
