Hi DerpDeHerp, glad to hear that bud, and thank you for watching!
@@AlexAutoFun Also, I'm getting ready to replace all engine mounts and the transmission mount. Is it required to remove both axles from the hub wearings on the wheels in order to replace the transmission mount? I'm just wondering if clearance will be an issue if the axle is still inside the driver side hub bearing/knuckle. Thank you once again!
@@unknown__7753 Hey I was able to replace all mounts with the axles installed, I just kept an eye on them to make sure I wasn't going to over extend them but they didnt seem to bind or over stretch when doing the mounts. Let me know how your install goes!
awesome dude tremendous amount of information but for sure is worth it thank you so much ;)
Your welcome 3d printing guru! Trying hard here!

Would be excellent if you upload a center mount replacement
Will add to the list bud!
One thing i didnt see is the torque adjustment preload before you tighten the side mounts ,you must preload the mounts before you tighten them per factory service manual .
Hi 7 Logik! ah yes here are the instructions from the 2004 service manual: "The upper and lower torque struts need to be adjusted together to assure proper engine positioning and engine mount loading. Whenever a torque strut bolt(s) is loosened, this procedure must be performed. (1) Remove accessory drive belt splash shield (2) Remove pencil strut (3) Loosen the upper and lower torque strut attaching bolt at the suspension crossmember and shock tower bracket. (4) The engine position may now be adjusted by positioning a suitable floor jack on the forward edge of the transmission bell housing. (5) With the engine supported, remove the upper and lower torque strut attachment bolt(s) at shock tower bracket and suspension crossmember. Verify that the torque struts are free to move within the shock tower bracket and crossmember. Reinstall the torque strut bolt(s), but do not tighten. (6) Carefully apply upward force, allowing the upper engine to rotate rearward until the distance between the center of the rearmost attaching bolt on the engine mount bracket (point “A”) and the center of the hole on the shock tower bracket (point “B”) is 119 mm (4.70 in.). (7) With the engine held at the proper position, tighten both the upper and lower torque strut bolts to 115 N·m (85 ft. lbs.)" Hope this helps bud!
Great videos thanks for the help could you help me out I’m having issues with my sunroof it’s not the motors could you help me out with a link to purchase assembly kit
Thank you 400 HDFILMS! A yes the sunroof seems to be one of the common parts that quickly fail on our cars (either mechanical or work but starts leaking. When looking to fix mine I found that the assembly can really only be bought used from those pick part places that tear down cars. I have not found a place that sell them new due to the age of the car. So my solution is to just delete the moving part of the sunroof with DCR's Lexan sunroof kit darrellcoxracing.com/shop/ols/products/dcr-lexan-molded-sunroof Video on the install for it is coming, It may not be for everyone but I like the weight savings and also eliminating the complexity of the actual sun roof motor assembly. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
When you talk about the hidden mount @12:15....I wonder if you could use some heavy duty ratchet straps to move the motor over a bit with the the straps wrapped around the air intake port and the intake manifold? I think I've seen others do it, to give them temporary space.
Hi Murph! I Personally I would not try to move the engine by pulling on the intake manifold but I wouldn't doubt someone has tried that lol The way I did it was as mentioned on the video, following the service manual just lifting the engine up with a jack and plenty of patience 🙃 Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun yeah I will give it a try, placing wheel bearings and someone metioned the failure of this mount can cause other issues....passenger wheel bearing being one of them.
What's the torque specs for the side engine mount? The 4 bolts to frame and long bolt to engine bracket?
Great video! Is it necessary to get the hardened bolts, or can I just the factory bolts?
Thanks Anthony! I actually still run my stock bolts and I was stage 3 for a long time, I think if the stock ones break then I would replace with hardened ones but yours haven't broken I would stick with them.
any idea what size bolt and the thread pattern is on the splash shield cover? thanks!
Hi Jake Arnold, good question! I actually have different size bolts since the originals got lost, they are just sheet metal bolts. The try is to avoid over tightening them to avoid stripping the metal or braking the plastic splash cover. Thanks for watching bud!
i have a question? as i’m replacing the top motor mount and the bolt towards the back that goes straight up and down just keeps spinning in place, any recommendations or tips on how to remove it and stop it from spinning?
Hi Modified Family LLC! ah yes there is a captive nut underneath that in some cases like yours may need to be held to keep it from turning, however it is a little tricky because not all the nut is accessible, only the top portion of it, in some cases a socket is enough to keep from spinning but in other locking pliers are the only way to hold it. Hope this helps and thanks for watching bud!
As always, great video. Do you have a fix for a leaky sunroof? Seems to be a huge problem with these cars.
Hi Steve B, I have the same issue too! lol yes leaky sun roof fix video coming, stay tuned buddy!
@@AlexAutoFun I would also be interested in a leaky sun roof fix video. Also, what blue springs are those you are running? Mopar stage 1s?
@@derek9081 Hi D, I'm sure how I missed this comment but you are right the blue springs are Mopar Stage 1, good eye!
Hey Alex how did you remove the lower mount 21mm bolt so easy lol 😮
Hi Jose! I use a breaker bar followed by power tools (air or battery) and that get's that little guy out. Hope this helps, Cheers!
What kind of intake is that which k&n intake is that and what box is that around your filter.
Hi Spirit Kuykendall, it's a K&N FIPK intake, the box comes with it. I believe it's discontinued but a few places still sell them like the turboneonstore and every once in a while they come up on ebay. Its CARB legal too yay! lol
Great videos, very informative. Looking forward to more SRT4 videos. If your not already a member, join the SRT4 Owners facebook page.
Hi D, yes I recently joined. I been in the community for a long time since the golden days of the Srtfourms LOL Thanks for watching got more vids coming!
Hey Alex can I just replace the upper mount with a agp.
Hi Nicholas! Correct, this is a set of AGP motor mounts, I placed a link to the kit in the video description if you need one. Hope this helps, Cheers!
can i use the lower and upper mounts for non tubro 04 dodge neon?
Hi Juan! Yes I believe the top and bottom mounts can also be used on the standard Neon. The center mount and the transmission mounts are the ones that specific to the SRT4..
Just bought a srt4 and it’s overheating, it has coolant and new thermostat I don’t know what could be the problem any suggestions
i would check all your hoses for leaks. both fans are working? maybe do a smoke test. could be the headgasket... would be easy fix as long as the head is not warped.
Hi Big Homie D, for some reason I totally missed this! I addition to Brians suggestions, I would check if the system was burped of all air, radiator cap for leaks or not able to hold pressure anymore or if thermostat is upside down or incorrect thermostat (sometimes they mixed them at factory or you could have a bad thermostat straight from factory). Let us know what you find bud!
So I did this this weekend on my set4 and the trans mount was really tricky due to some little dimples were the trans mount went in idk if yours had that but I didn’t see you mention that
Hi Dig Ordie! I remember something like that, getting the trans mount in was a little tricky at first. I also think that it seems to vary between aftermarket mounts, the AGP one I use slides in easier than other ones I tried. How you like the your mount? any crazy vibrations? I felt a big difference on traction enough that it was worth the extra shaking lol
@@AlexAutoFun I luv how they feel no more slake when getting into the throttle just need the mid mount now
@@carlife5192 Awesome man!
Is that transmission mount exclusive to the SRT-4 or is that needed for the SXT as well? And does it matter if I have manual or automatic, or is it for both transmissions?
Hi Nick! as far as I know the mount is unique to the SRT4 as transmission is unique to the car. The SXT with manual or automatic are very likely using a completely different mount however I imagine installation of the mount would be somewhat similar. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
@@AlexAutoFun Yeah, thanks buddy. I went rooting around and it looks like I've got the upper and lower mounts, don't have that transmission mount in my Manual SXT but do have a center engine mount that's trickier to get to and sits down under the upper mount. Far as I've seen so far, no other trans mount. Will update this comment if I find one. :)
Appreciate you making the video and also responding!
@@AlexAutoFun Also it looks like this guy made a video for the mounts on the SXT and funnily enough, purchased the trans mount only to discover his car doesn't use one. So question answered, I guess. :)

@@allmycarsisbroke Oh wow that's interesting, but yeah the center mount is definitely not fun to get too..
@@allmycarsisbroke Will take a look! thanks for sharing this bud!
Shop told me i need all 4 motor mounts & torque mounts? what is torque mount Bro?
Hi Juan! They may be confused and counting one twice? There are only 4 mounts: Top, bottom, transmission and the main engine mount...
@@AlexAutoFun Thanks bro, thats what i am thinking, They Quote me $750 for all parts and labor!!
@@lokoako1104 Oh man that's crazy! It takes me about an 1 hour to change the top, bottom and transmission mount. The main engine mount is the one that is a pain, probably 2 hrs struggling with it until it slides out, but $750 that's way to much in my opinion..
Is it just my car or does anyone else’s lower engine mount , touching the engine below the crank pulley ???
Hi Rechard! Check your AC bracket, sometimes they crack, mine cracked once (it’s casted iron) and since the bottom of the bracket goes to the lower engine mount it no longer lined up, let me know what you find bud!
@@AlexAutoFun haha my bracket seems to be good however i think i should re-install my transmission before i make any further judgments. i figured it was the best time to change my mounts with the transmission out while changing the clutch !
Was it just my eyes,,,or did you start out with no stash and finish with one? Lol 👍👍keep on scratching
Haha! it's been on and off, when I first grew it they said oh take it off then when I shaved it now they miss it so it back to the stash! :D
Hi... Thank you for the exelent video... I was wondering, if I have all the solid motor mounts including the middle one... If I loosen the upper one because I was working on my power steering pump... Do I need to recalibrate to 119mm? Because I remember that the first time I installed the center one I can't even calibrate them to 119, I was lifting the car from the oil pan and stop lifting and they allways sat at 121mm... Is that ok? Or I was doing something wrong? Thank you... Any help for my peace of mind is apresiated... Daniel (Tijuana Mexico)
